PAC–µ 8 and Electromagnetism: An Axiomatic First-Principles Derivation of Maxwell's Equations

Abstract

In the PAC–µ 8 framework, physical systems are described by a spectral generator K on a Hilbert space H, together with compression and audit functionals that constrain admissible dynamics. The core AV/AQ dictionary H = ℏ √ K identifies quantum Hamiltonians with the square root of a positive generator, and the audit layer imposes conserved currents and resource budgets. In this paper we show that classical electromagnetism, under a small and natural set of axioms, fits into this picture in a particularly rigid way. We formulate an “Electromagnetic Axiomatic System” (EAS) on top of PAC–µ 8 , consisting of Lorentz covariance, locality, linearity, U(1) gauge redundancy, charge conservation, and a minimal-compression principle for the action functional. Under these assumptions we derive: 1. the field strength Fµν as the unique gauge-invariant local curvature built from a potential Aµ, 2. the Maxwell Lagrangian −4 1 FµνF µν as the unique quadratic, gauge-invariant, Lorentz scalar functional compatible with the AV/AQ structure, 3. the inhomogeneous Maxwell equations ∂µF µν = J ν as Euler–Lagrange equations for the combined field–current action, 4. the homogeneous Maxwell equations as the Bianchi identity for F = dA. In this sense, the Maxwell equations emerge as the unique, first-principles “mother equa tion” for the electromagnetic sector within PAC–µ 8 , once one combines spectral generation, gauge redundancy, compression minimality, and the audit constraint ∂µJ µ = 0. We briefly discuss how the electromagnetic generator KEM and its compression functional relate to the broader PAC–µ 8 program, and how this perspective prepares the ground for coupling to matter, quantization, and audit-based constraints on extensions of electromagnetism.

Maxwell's Equations from Quantum Mechanics I: Gauge Invariance, Conserved Currents, and Hydrogen Atoms as the Sources of the Electromagnetic Field

Daniel Scretching

This paper examines how Maxwell electrodynamics can be recovered as the field-theoretic structure required to consistently couple quantum matter to electromagnetism, while distinguishing what follows from quantum mechanics from what must be supplied independently. Local phase invariance introduces electromagnetic potentials through minimal coupling and yields the homogeneous Maxwell equations as geometric identities, while quantum probability conservation provides a conserved electric current and Ehrenfest dynamics recover the Lorentz-force form. The inhomogeneous Maxwell equations require an additional Lorentz- and gauge-invariant electromagnetic field action, whose vacuum constants satisfy μ0ε0=1/c2\mu_0\varepsilon_0=1/c^2, linking the construction to the SQC/MSC electric–magnetic prefactor relation. Hydrogen is used as an explicit microscopic source: the 1s1s state generates a quantum charge distribution, 2p2p states provide orbital currents and magnetic moments, and 1s1s–2p2p superpositions produce radiative dipole transitions. The treatment is then extended from individual atoms to a hydrogen gas, where polarization and magnetization generate the macroscopic fields DD and HH. The resulting framework shows how quantum sources and material response fit consistently within Maxwell electrodynamics without claiming that quantum mechanics alone uniquely derives the complete electromagnetic field dynamics.

Maxwell's Equations from Quantum Mechanics III: Synthesis: Gauge Invariance, Conserved Currents, and Hydrogen Atoms as the Sources of the Electromagnetic Field

Daniel Scretching

Maxwell’s equations, formulated in 1865, preceded quantum mechanics by six decades. When the logical direction is reversed, however, the electromagnetic field structure can be interpreted as the form required for a quantum theory of charged matter once three standard ingredients are imposed: local gauge invariance, conserved electric current, and a dynamical electromagnetic field. Quantum mechanics supplies the charged-particle state, probability amplitudes, quantum currents, and—through the Dirac equation—a relativistically consistent description of electron charge and spin. Gauge symmetry then organizes the electromagnetic interaction, while current conservation constrains the admissible source structure. The homogeneous Maxwell identities follow naturally from expressing the field through a four-potential, whereas the sourced Maxwell equations require an additional electromagnetic field action or equivalent dynamical assumption. The resulting framework clarifies both the strength and the limit of a “Maxwell from quantum mechanics” program: quantum theory and gauge structure strongly constrain electromagnetism, but Maxwell field dynamics are not obtained from the electron wave equation alone.

Axiomatized Perception and the Emergent Core of Physics: From Vision and Vibration to a Spectral–Causal PAC–µ 8 Framework

Dai, Chuanjie

Human mathematical physics has historically grown as an “axiomatized + visual” enterprise: Euclidean geometry, fields on manifolds and diagrammatic reasoning anchor our most refined theories. Yet plausible non-human intelligences need not be visual at all. One may imagine civi lizations whose dominant sensory and cognitive primitives are vibrational (hearing), mechanical (touch and force), chemical (smell), magnetoreceptive (field direction and flux), vestibular (ac celeration and balance), or even purely causal (event flow, with time preceding space). In this article we introduce the notion of an Axiomatized Perception System (APS): an ax iomatic core built on the primitive relations supplied by a chosen modality. We construct seven archetypal APSs—vision, vibration, mechanics/touch, magnetoreception, high-dimensional chem ical mixture, vestibular acceleration and event-flow causality—and treat each as a candidate starting point for a fundamental physical theory. We then ask a structural question: if all such APSs are required to describe one and the same universe, what minimal mathematical core must they share in the limit of maximal mutual consistency and compression? We argue that the intersection of these APSs singles out a spectral–causal–audit structure closely resembling the PAC–µ 8 framework: a positive self-adjoint generator K on a Hilbert-like space with H = ℏ √ K; a causal cone structure with a monotone “stopping entropy” func tional Sbstop defining an arrow of time; a holonomy–curvature resource inequality constraining allowed evolutions; and a compression/MDL layer that identifies modality-independent equiva lence classes of theories. In this sense, PAC–µ 8 can be understood as a modality-agnostic core of physics, reachable from radically different perceptual axiomatizations once they are required to describe the same reality under strict compression and audit constraints.

Quantum Electricity: Absolute Operator-Theoretic Closure of Gauge-Covariant Current, Pauli Spin Transport, Maxwell Source Completion, and Spectral-Scattering Structure

A. Kim

This manuscript establishes the absolute operator-theoretic closure of quantum electricity. It formally defines quantum electricity strictly as the gauge-covariant conserved charge transport generated by a self-adjoint matter Hamiltonian under electromagnetic minimal coupling, rather than treating it as a supplementary physical ontology. The paper rigorously derives the exact one-particle current, its operator-valued local density, its Heisenberg continuity law, and its variational identity as the functional derivative of the Hamiltonian with respect to the vector potential. The framework is then systematically extended to spin-1/2 Pauli matter—proving the exact decomposition of the conserved current into distinct transport and divergence-free magnetization sectors—and to second quantization, establishing the many-body continuity law. Furthermore, the manuscript demonstrates that classical electrical source fields emerge exactly as the macroscopic expectation values of the quantum current operators. This provides the rigorous source-side completion for Maxwell field evolution. The theory is also generalized to relativistic quantum electrodynamics (identifying the current as the Noether current of local U(1) gauge invariance), expressed through spectral representation, and applied to open-system transport via scattering theory and wave operators. Ultimately, the manuscript proves a unified closure: all admissible electrical behavior is completely exhausted by the combination of gauge-covariant matter current, Maxwell field evolution, constitutive response, and boundary data.

What Is PAC–µ8?An Operator–Spectral and Audit–Protocol Frameworkfor Physics, Arithmetic, and Verifiable Claims

Chuanjie Dai

PAC–µ 8 is a unified operator–spectral and audit–protocol framework designed to make physical and mathematical claims simultaneously (i) structurally minimal, (ii) modality-invariant, (iii) falsifiable through pre-registered numerical windows, and (iv) auditable via replayable, machine checkable certificates. Its core is an AV/AQ dual presentation: a positive self-adjoint generator K ≥ 0 with Ω = √ K and Hamiltonian H = ℏΩ, coupled to an explicit boundary interface represented by an edge projector Πedge(∆) and protocol-defined calibration maps. A distinguished universal scale µ∗ ≈ 1.86 × 10−4 (with visibility floor √µ∗ ≈ 1.36%) anchors a universal log– budget J∗ = − 1 2 ln µ∗ used as a common currency across heterogeneous experimental windows. On the AQ side, a generalized Lindblad family is adopted as the canonical “mother equation”, specialized by H = ℏ √ K and boundary-tied Lindblad operators scaled by µ∗. On the verification side, PAC–µ 8 introduces auditable certificate packs (CCP), conformance rules (CR), semantic tests (CTS), and decision transcripts that strictly separate closure failures (non-replayable / non-conformant) from physics-level falsification. This paper provides a concise, publication-ready definition of PAC–µ 8 , its axioms, its main equations, its phase–arithmetic spectral axis (PAS), and its certification discipline.
