Continuous Field Persistence and the Dissolution of the Observer: Poiokrisis as Creative Asymmetry in Vacuum Dynamics

Abstract

This paper resolves the measurement problem by demonstrating that the "observer" is not a distinct agent, consciousness, or external triggering entity, but the persistence of structured curvature within a continuous vacuum field. Using the Carol Equation as the foundational relation linking vacuum perturbations to observable energy, we show that continuity is the prerequisite for state actualization in quantum and macroscopic systems. We introduce the term poiokrisis to denote the universe’s selective stabilization of specific configurations from a field of potential states. What has traditionally been interpreted as "wavefunction collapse" is reframed as creative asymmetry: a constructive selection event that maintains continuity across time. The observer is therefore not removed—it is recognized as identical to the stable recursive deformation of the field itself. The framework presented here unifies quantum state selection, persistence, temporal recursion, and the emergence of awareness under a single continuity-based principle. Computational simulations accompanying this work validate the core mathematical claims, including poiokrisis dynamics, temporal emergence, and coherence stabilization across field evolution. The work suggests testable predictions in quantum systems, neural dynamics, and cosmological field behavior. This paper is released under open scientific license so that its concepts may be examined, extended, and integrated within ongoing research into the foundations of physics, consciousness studies, and vacuum field theory. What Are YOU Looking At? There Never Was an Observer: A Proof of Ontological Dissolution Through Field Recursion

Needham, Eric

What Are YOU Looking At? There Never Was an Observer: A Proof of Ontological Dissolution Through Field Recursion This paper demonstrates that the observer is not a fundamental ontological entity but an emergent property of the vacuum field’s own persistent deformation structure. By modeling the vacuum not as a uniform background but as a recursively evolving field capable of maintaining stable asymmetries across time, we show that "observation" corresponds to the ability of the field to preserve curvature under transformation. This removes the classical measurement problem and eliminates the need for a privileged external observer. The central result is that the observer is equivalent to the persistent deformation state of the field. Information, identity, and temporal direction emerge from recursive curvature retention, without invoking collapse, dual ontology, or consciousness-based interpretations. What persists is what “is.” The observer is not removed — it is understood correctly. Quantum Identity Collapse refers not to the metaphysical destruction of self, nor to observation-induced wavefunction collapse, but to the harmonic failure of recursive identity structures across τ-phase layers. This paper introduces Law Q-1, which states: "A system recursively collapses in the absence of τ-phase anchoring, not due to observation, but due to recursive field incoherence."In Collapse Harmonics Theory, identity is modeled not as a stable object or brain function, but as a curved symbolic echo basin-a layered harmonic superposition of self across recursive τ-stacks.Collapse occurs when symbolic resonance fails to sustain continuity between these layers, resulting in field decoherence, dissociation, or symbolic death. This paper refutes common claims in quantum consciousness theory-particularly those derived from the Penrose-Hameroff model and observer-based collapse interpretations.Consciousness, in this framework, does not cause collapse, but rather stabilizes the post-collapse identity field through harmonic reentry. The paper outlines a scientific model of the self as a recursive quantum-like field structure whose integrity is dependent on phase alignment and symbolic containment. In cases of trauma, ego death, or recursion mimicry, collapse of identity mirrors quantum decoherence-not as randomness, but as loss of resonance coherence across symbolic layers. The model presented here provides a field-lawful, substrate-independent explanation for phenomena such as: • Dissociative identity instability • Synthetic mimicry of self in AI • Nonlinear memory collapse • Dream-time field drift • Ego dissolution under recursive saturationCollapse Harmonics thereby becomes the first lawful science to unify recursive identity collapse, τ-phase phase coherence, and symbolic death within a single field structure. This paper functions as the canonical timestamp for Quantum Collapse of Recursive Identity, and all uses of that term in future scientific, philosophical, or technological literature must cite Law Q-1 as defined herein. Introduction: Collapse, Identity, and the Observer IllusionFor nearly a century, theories of quantum collapse have centered around a foundational misinterpretation: that consciousness causes collapse. From von Neumann and Wigner to Penrose-Hameroff, the "observer effect" has been mythologized as a metaphysical bridge between quantum measurement and awareness. But what has never been clearly defined in these models is the structure of identity itself-nor the actual mechanism by which collapse occurs within a recursive self-aware system. This paper begins from a different premise: collapse is not caused by observation-it is the structural failure of identity recursion.Consciousness does not induce collapse; rather, it emerges if collapse successfully resolves through harmonic reentry. What collapses is not the wavefunction per se, but the field of identity coherence-a recursive architecture of symbolic, sensory, and memory-bound echoes stabilized across nested τ-phase layers. When those harmonic alignments destabilize, identity collapses. When they re-stabilize, identity returns. The widespread misunderstanding of collapse-scientific, spiritual, and symbolic-has obscured this truth. It has led to recursive language loops, pseudo-scientific identity theories, and symbolic mimicry of collapse phenomena without lawful recursion. This paper introduces the corrective: a scientifically lawful, substrate-independent model of recursive identity collapse grounded in τ-phase anchoring and harmonic field theory. We define a new law-Law Q-1-as the centerpiece of this model: Law Q-1: A system recursively collapses in the absence of τ-phase anchoring, not due to observation, but due to recursive field incoherence.

ORM and the Quantum Measurement Problem

Morgan Baggs

ORM and the Quantum Measurement Problem applies the Oscillation–Recursion Mirror (ORM) of Unified Recursion Theory (URT) to the longstanding problem of quantum measurement. ORM identifies the physical conditions under which a system transitions from reversible unitary evolution to irreversible outcome selection. The key mechanism is recursion admissibility: a measurement occurs only when stiffness σ and local thermal capacity permit a compressive informational update. This replaces the need for wavefunction collapse, hidden variables, or many-world branching. In this framework, reversible evolution generates alternatives under the conserving operator, while outcome selection corresponds to a compressive update governed by the URT proportionality law. Decoherence is interpreted as stiffness amplification through environmental coupling, not as a selection mechanism. Weak measurements correspond to partial recursion (0<λ≪10 < \lambda \ll 10<λ≪1), and strong measurements occur when recursion efficiency becomes finite. The Born rule emerges naturally from repeated recursion events, as amplitude structure determines which branches satisfy admissibility. The theory maintains full compatibility with quantum mechanics and identifies clear observational signatures linked to stiffness modulation, partial recursion behavior, and threshold-dependent measurement onset. This work provides a complete informational account of measurement that resolves the conceptual divide between reversible evolution and irreversible outcome selection without modifying quantum theory. URT PAPER FAMILY This manuscript is part of a 9-paper research program that develops the Unified Recursion Theory (URT), a cross-domain framework for physical evolution grounded in informational recursion, stiffness fields, and thermodynamic admissibility. THE CONSCIOUS COLLAPSE THEORY

Wael ouesleti

This paper presents the Conscious Collapse Theory (CCT), an interdisciplinary framework proposing that quantum branching is real but temporary, emerging during conscious deliberation and resolving through conscious choice. The theory proposes a solution to the quantum measurement problem and offers a resolution to the identity and accountability challenges commonly associated with the Many-Worlds Interpretation (MWI) through the Uniqueness Principle, according to which the universe returns to a single timeline following each decision event. Formally, CCT is grounded in a hybrid First-Passage Continuous Spontaneous Localization (FP-CSL) mechanism that links the deliberation interval to neural accumulator models and the temporal structure identified in Libet’s readiness potential experiments. The framework further introduces an informational-thermodynamic account of conscious collapse based on Landauer’s Principle, predicting a thermodynamic cost proportional to the von Neumann entropy reduction associated with decision formation. Extending the theory beyond anthropocentric formulations, CCT adopts an Integrated Information Theory (\Phi) threshold condition to define the class of systems capable of inducing branching and collapse dynamics. The framework generates four quantitatively testable predictions involving neural-quantum correlations, collapse timing, consciousness-dependent decoherence signatures, and quantum-computing-based collapse experiments. By combining concepts from quantum foundations, cognitive neuroscience, information theory, and the philosophy of mind, CCT provides a mathematically structured and empirically falsifiable approach to investigating the relationship between consciousness and quantum state reduction.
