Abstract

In this paper, after a brief review on the linear and nonlinear squeezed states, which are recently presented we introduce a new kind of the continuous variable entangled nonlinear squeezed states. In the continuation, we study the entanglement characteristics of these states via the calculation of concurrence and finally, some of their nonclassical properties will be evaluated by studying the Mandel parameter, correlation function and squeezing effect.

Deformed photon-added entangled squeezed vacuum and one-photon states: Entanglement, polarization, and nonclassical properties

Amir Karimi, Mohammad Kazem Tavassoly

In this paper, after a brief review on the entangled squeezed states, we produce a new class of the continuous-variable-type entangled states, namely, deformed photon-added entangled squeezed states. These states are obtained via the iterated action of the f -deformed creation operator A = f ( n ) a † on the entangled squeezed states. In the continuation, by studying the criteria such as the degree of entanglement, quantum polarization as well as sub-Poissonian photon statistics, the two-mode correlation function, one-mode and two-mode squeezing, we investigate the nonclassical behaviors of the introduced states in detail by choosing a particular f -deformation function. It is revealed that the above-mentioned physical properties can be affected and so may be tuned by justifying the excitation number, after choosing a nonlinearity function. Finally, to generate the introduced states, we propose a theoretical scheme using the nonlinear Jaynes–Cummings model.

Quantum engineering and nonclassical properties of SU(1,1) and SU(2) entangled nonlinear coherent states

Amir Karimi, Mohammad Kazem Tavassoly

In this paper, after a brief review on the entangled coherent state, a general form of the entangled nonlinear coherent state has been introduced based on the nonlinear coherent states approach. By choosing particular f-deformation functions, theoretical schemes for generation of two distinct classes of such states associated with SU(1,1) and SU(2) groups are presented. The entanglement characteristic of the corresponding entangled coherent states has been studied by evaluating the concurrence. In the continuation, other nonclassical behaviors of the produced states have been analyzed by investigating sub-Poissonian photon statistics, the oscillatory photon number distribution, one- and two-mode quadrature squeezing, and sum and difference squeezing. Accordingly, in addition to their entanglement property, other nonclassicality features of the introduced states are well established in detail.

Single-mode nonlinear excited entangled coherent states and their nonclassical properties

Amir Karimi, Mohammad Kazem Tavassoly

In this paper, after a brief review of the single-mode excited entangled coherent states, two new classes of continuous-variable entangled pure states, namely, single-mode nonlinear excited entangled coherent states, have been produced by using the f -deformed creation operator instead of . In order to establish the nonclassicality of the states, some of the physical properties of the corresponding entangled states, such as entanglement degree, photon statistics, second-order correlation function and quadrature squeezing have been studied in detail by choosing a particular f -deformation function. In addition, the influence of photon excitations on the properties of our introduced states has been analyzed and the results compared with those of a single-mode excited entangled coherent state. In continuation, a theoretical scheme for their generation based on the interaction of a two-level atom with a quantized cavity field has been proposed.

Non-classical properties and entanglement of two-mode nonlinear semi-coherent states

Azam Anbaraki, Davood Afshar

Abstract Two-mode nonlinear semi-coherent states and their even and odd superpositions are defined. Their non-classical properties, including photon statistics and squeezing, are then evaluated. We use the Mandel parameter and the second-order coherence function to study sub-Poissonian photon statistics and the photon antibunching effect. By calculating the variance of two-mode quadrature operators, we evaluate the squeezing effect for the introduced states. Next, we examine entanglement using concurrence. We have found that all states display non-classical properties within certain ranges of the parameters involved. The calculation of concurrence demonstrates that all states are entangled within specific ranges of parameters.

Nonclassical properties and entanglement of superposition of two-mode separable nonlinear coherent states

Davood Afshar, Azam Anbaraki

Quasi Bell states are introduced as a result of superposition of two-mode separable nonlinear coherent states. In this paper, we consider the nonlinearity function related to the harmonious states. To evaluate the effectiveness of these states in quantum information theory, nonclassical properties such as photon statistics, squeezing, and entanglement are studied. The entanglement of these states is examined by calculating the concurrence. According to our calculations, three of the introduced states are maximally entangled states. In addition, the cross-correlation function of the three maximally entangled states is less than 1 for all values of |α|2.

Nonlinear semi-coherent states, their nonclassical features and phase properties

E Piroozi, Mohammad Kazem Tavassoly

Semi-coherent states (semi-CSs) were previously introduced and their nonclassical properties studied. In this paper, we first propose a general formalism for the construction of ‘nonlinear semi-CSs’ as an extension of semi-CSs and then their explicit form in the number state basis is generally deduced. Next, as some physical appearances of the formalism, after choosing two well-known nonlinearity functions, nonclassical features and quantum statistical properties of the associated states are studied by evaluating quadrature squeezing, higher order squeezing and the Mandel parameter, as well as their phase properties and number and phase squeezing of the introduced states. Finally, the results are compared with the properties of semi-CSs.
