Abstract

We have investigated in the time-evolution and the squeezing character of atomic operators in a system of two-mode squeezed vacuum field interacting with a two-level atom without the rotating-wave approximation by means of quantum theory. The results obtained using the numerical method indicate that the influence of the virtual-photon field on the atomic quantum character is mainly the cause for quantum chaos which is related to the quantum character of the system itself.

The statistic properties of photons in a system of two-mode squeezed vacuum field interacting with a two-level atom are studied without the rotating-wave approximation by means of quantum theory, and the influence of the virtual-photon process on the statistic properties of photons is discussed emphatically. The results obtained using a numerical method indicate that the influence of the virtual-photon process on the statistic properties of photons qives rise to quantum chaos, that is related to the initial state parameters of the system.

Light squeezing in the system of squeezed vacuum field interacting with the V-type three-level atom via intensity-dependent coupling without rotating wave approximation

M. Zhou

The time evolution of light squeezing in the system of squeezed vacuum field interacting with V-type three-level atom via intensity-dependent coupling is studied by means of the quantum theory without rotating wave approximation. The result obtained by means of numerical method indicate that the light field is periodically squeezed,Moreover, the squeezing of light field is restrained and the quantum chaos caused by the virtual-photon process depend on the initial state parameters of the system:r,ω and g.When r increases, the inhibition of squeezing of light field by the virtual-photon process becomes stronger and then weaker. When ω and g increase, the quantum chaos gradually become weak or strong respectively.

INFLUENCE OF THE VIRTUAL PHOTON FIELD ON THE PERIODIC DECAY AND REVIVAL EFFECT OF AN ATOM

PENG JIN-SHENG, LI GAO-XIANG, Peng Zhou +1 more

In this paper, we investigate the time evolution of the atomic operators of a two-level atom interacting with the field via a two-photon process within and without the rotating-wave approximation (RWA) by means of non-relativestic QED. We also verified that the virtual photon field is the cause for quantum chaos embodied by the periodic decay and revival effect of the atom using the numerical and analytic methods, and discussed the reason of neglecting the in-fluence of the virtual photon field on the revival time.
