Photonic quantum generative adversarial networks for classical data

Tigran Sedrakyan, Alexia Salavrakos

In generative learning, models are trained to produce new samples that follow the distribution of the target data. These models were historically difficult to train, until proposals such as generative adversarial networks (GANs) emerged, where a generative and a discriminative model compete against each other in a minimax game. Quantum versions of the algorithm have since been designed for the generation of both classical and quantum data. While most work so far has focused on qubit-based architectures, in this article we present a quantum GAN based on linear optical circuits and Fock-space encoding, which makes it compatible with near-term photonic quantum computing. We demonstrate that the model can learn to generate images by training the model end-to-end experimentally on a single-photon quantum processor.

Stochastic Mass-Spring Model for the Generation of Squeezed State of Light

Mahmood Hasani, Hassan Kaatuzian, Mobin Motaharifar

In this paper we propose a mass and spring model inside cavity walls for generation of phase and amplitude squeezed photons and the way we can control the squeezing parameter by our model. we present our numerical analysis and the way modulation on the springs could generate the squeezed light to control stochastic of photon number generation.

Two-photon generator of entangled photon pairs

N. A. Enaki, Vitalie Eremeev

The two-photon generator of coherent light formed from entangled photon pairs is proposed. Considering the multi-mode field of micro-cavity in the processes of generation of photon pairs the two-photon resonator losses are proposed. The master equation for cavity biphotons is obtained from quantum treatment of problem. The analytical and numerical stationary solutions for master equation are presented. Also is found that the lasing of light is started from vacuum fluctuations of cavity field. The comparison of proposed model with other two-photon laser models is discussed.
