The study of entanglement and teleportation of the harmonic oscillator bipartite coherent states

Abstract

In this paper, we reproduce the harmonic oscillator bipartite coherent states with imperfect cloning of coherent states. We show that if these entangled coherent states are embedded in a vacuum environment, their entanglement is degraded but not totally lost . Also, the optimal fidelity of these states is worked out for investigating their teleportation

We study an entangled two-mode coherent state within the framework of2×2-dimensional Hilbert space. By three differentmeasures with the titles ``minimum assured fidelity (MASF)”, ``average teleportationfidelity” and ``optimal fidelity (f)” we study the quality of this kind of teleportation.Decoherence properties of the entangled coherent state due to channel losses areanalysed. For a symmetric noise channel, the degradation of optimal fidelity and degreeof entanglement are calculated. Also by two different measures with the titles``concurrence” and ``entanglement of formation” we study the amount of entanglementof a decohered quantum channel and discuss its details. We demonstrate thatentanglement of the decohered entangled coherent state is reduced but not throughlylost. Finally we find that the optimal fidelity of the decohered entangled coherent state ismore than the classical limit and the decohered entangled coherent state may be usefulfor quantum teleportation.

Teleportation using coupled oscillator states

P. T. Cochrane, Gerard J Milburn, William J. Munro

We analyze the fidelity of teleportation protocols, as a function of resource entanglement, for three kinds of two-mode oscillator states: states with fixed total photon number, number states entangled at a beam splitter, and the two-mode squeezed vacuum state. We define corresponding teleportation protocols for each case including phase noise to model degraded entanglement of each resource.

Mixed Entangled Coherent Channel for Quantum Information Processing

Hyunseok Jeong, M. S. Kim, Jin-Hyoung Lee

We study an entangled two-mode coherent state within the framework of $2\\times 2$ dimensional Hilbert space and suggest a scheme to teleport a coherent superposition state. When the entangled coherent state decays into the vacuum, it is found that its evolved state always remains entangled and the larger the coherent amplitude, the faster entanglement decreases. We find that the decohered entangled coherent state can be useless in quantum teleportation as it gives the optimal fidelity of teleportation less than the classical limit 2/3.

Teleportation of a bipartite entangled coherent state via cavity QED

Zhou Yan-Li, Hong‐Yi Dai, Yang Li-Jia

Based on the atom-cavity-field interaction, this paper proposes a scheme for the teleportation of a bipartite entangled coherent state (ECS) with high fidelity as long as |α| is not too small. In this proposal, only four cavities and a three-level cascade atom are needed. The fidelity of the ECS is calculated and analysed in detail.

Quantum probabilistic teleportation via entangled coherent states

Shang-Bin Li Jing-Bo Xu

We study the entanglement of entangled coherent states in vacuum environment by employing the entanglement of formation and propose a scheme to probabilistically teleport a coherent superposition state via entangled coherent states, in which the amount of classical information sent by Alice is restricted to one bit. The influence of decoherence due to photon absorpation is considered. It is shown that decoherence can improve the mean fidelity of probabilistic teleportation in some situations.

Teleportation of tripartite entangled coherent states

Sun Yong, Man Zhong-Xiao, Yun‐Jie Xia

This paper proposes a feasible scheme for the quantum teleportation of tripartite entangled coherent states by using linear optical devices such as beam splitters, phase shifters and photo detectors. The scheme is based on the bipartite maximally entangled coherent state and the tripartite entangled coherent state with bipartite maximal entanglement as quantum channels. It shows that when the mean number of photons is equal to 2, the total minimum of the average fidelity for an arbitrary tripartite entangled state is 1 – 0.67 × 10 −3 .
