KINETIC EQUATION FOR A DEGENERATE SYSTEM OF FERMI PARTICLES

G. M. Éliashberg

Abstract

A deduction of the kinetic equation for the excitation distribution function in a degenerate Fermi system is presented. It is based on application of the temperature diagram technique and the analytical continuation method. The properties of the four-vertex part are investigated and the equation for it is extended. The problem of applying the results to a microscopic theory of Fermi liquid is briefly discussed. (auth)

KINETIC EQUATION FOR NON-IDEAL FERMI GAS

I. B. Aleksandrov, Yu. A. Kukharenko, A. V. Niukkanen

A kinetic equation for a space-heterogeneous fermi ion system with non- locai interaction potential was developed by means of perturbation theory. The equation was used to analyze a weakly heterogeneous system. Energy spectrum damping as a result of strong pairing correlations was indicated. (tr-auth)

Kinetic Theory Study of Pressure and Equation of State in a Strongly Degenerate Fermi Gas

Vincenzo G. Molinari, D. Mostacci, Francesco Teodori

Starting from the Fermi-Dirac distribution fuunction, Kinetic Theory prescriptions are applied to express number density and pressure as integrals, which are then solved for nonvanishing temperature. The results are then combined to arrive at an equation of state, given in closed form, yielding pressure as a function of number density.

Spectral function and kinetic equation for a normal Fermi liquid

Muhammad Nadeem Arshad, Alexander S. Kondratyev, I. Siddique

On the basis of the Kadanoff-Baym (KB) version of the time-dependent Green's function method, an Ansatz for the approximation of a spectral function is offered. The Ansatz possesses all the advantages of quasiparticle and extended quasiparticle approximations and satisfies the KB equation for a spectral function in the case of slightly nonequilibrium system when disturbances in space and time are taken into consideration in the gradient approximation. This feature opens opportunities for the microscopic derivation of the Landau kinetic equation for the quasiparticle distribution function of the normal Fermi liquid and provides the widening of these equations' temperature range of validity.

SPECTRUM OF ELEMENTARY EXCITATIONS OF SUPER-FLUID FERMI SYSTEMS

I.I. Krush, Yu.V. Tsekhmistrenko

A number of problems involving the spectrum of elementary excitations of superfluid Fermi systems were studied by the methods of quantum field theory. A system with direct binary interaction is considered at zero and non-zero temperature, as well as an electron-phonon system at absolute zero. On finding Schwinger's equations for oneparticle Greene functions, use was made of the ground state approximation proposed by N. N. Bogoliubov, i.e., a formalism was applied which does not preserve the full number of particles. (auth)

SINGLE PARTICLE EXCITATIONS AND SUPER-FLUIDITY IN SYSTEMS CONSISTING OF FERMI PARTICLES WITH AN ARBITRARY INTERACTION APPLICATION TO THE NUCLEUS

A.B. Migdal

An equation set describtng single particle excitations for excitation energies which are small compared with the chemical potential of the system can be obtained by investigating the analytical properties of the Green's functions and taking into account pair correlation. The equations are valid for an arbitrary interaction law. Equations are derived which describe the excited states of a system with a finite number of particles with an accuracy to terms of the order of N/sup -//sup 1//sup ///sup 3/ It is indicated how the results can be applied to real nuclei. On the theory of polarized Fermi liquid

V. P. Mineev

The transport equation for transverse vibrations of magnetization in spin polarized Fermi liquid is derived from integral equation for the vertex function. The dispersion law for the transverse spin waves is established. The existance of zero-temperature spin-waves attenuation is confirmed. The problem of similar derivation in ferromagnetic "Fermi liquid" is discussed.
