Abstract

This chapter explicitly deals with the transfer protocols of arbitrary unknown quantum states that involve two and three qubits. There is a large literature on the teleportation of multi-qubit states of various kinds which follow the basic techniques of the protocols described here [ 16 , 22 , 23 , 50 , 83 , 94 , 97 , 99 , 112 , 130 , 133 , 158 , 187 , 191 , 194 ].

Quantum teleportation of an unknown N-Qubit W-Like state

Zhong‐Xiao Man, Yun‐Jie Xia, Nguyen Ba An

A nontrivial protocol for teleporting an unknown N -qubit W-like state is proposed. The consumed resource is only ( N -1) shared ebits and 2( N -1) bits of classical communication, while the technique involves only controlled-NOT gates and single-qubit measurements/operations. The rule for reconstruction of the desired state at the receiving station is worked out explicitly in the most general case of an arbitrary N ≥ 3. The protocol is within the reach of present technologies.

Probabilistic teleportation of an arbitrary Multi-qubit state

Lin-Yuan Ren, Cheng Zhang

in this letter, we describe a protocol for multi-qubit quantum teleportation between two parties with control of many agents in the networks. Our method is different from the method proposed recently [Phys. Lett. A 341 (2005)55–59], since the quantum channels we used is not maximally entangled state. And we discuss the probability which the receiver can teleport an unknown Multi-qubit.

Quantum Teleportation

Reinhold A. Bertlmann, Nicolai Friis

Abstract Chapter 14 discusses the quantum communication protocol called quantum teleportation, which uses the quantum correlations in an entangled particle pair shared between two observers to transmit the information stored in the (unknown) quantum state of a target system from one of the observers to the other. After reviewing the theoretical basics we showcase some of the important experimental demonstrations of teleportation. We then turn to more general protocols related to teleportation such as entanglement swapping, and the general formalism of isometries, before inspecting the option of delayed-choice entanglement swapping. In the light of these findings we compare teleportation to classical information transfer and inspect the related dense-coding protocol. Finally, we give an overview of basic quantum key distribution protocols is given, including the Bennett-Brassard-84 protocol based on conjugate coding and the entanglement-based Ekert-91 protocol

Multi-hop teleportation ofN-qubit state via Bell states

Negin Fatahi

Multi-hop teleportation is a quantum teleportation scheme for transferring quantum states on a large scale. In this paper, a new multi-hop teleportation protocol is investigated for transferring arbitrary N-qubit states between M-neighbor nodes. In this scheme, intermediate nodes are connected with each other by symmetric entangled Bell states as quantum channels. First, one-hop teleportation of single-qubit, two-qubit and N-qubit states are introduced, then this method is generalized to two-hop and multi-hop teleportation for N-qubit. Also, we calculate the efficiency of this scheme.

Quantum teleportation using cluster states

Bei Zeng, Di Zhou, Zhuoqun Xu +1 more

A protocol of quantum communication is proposed in terms of the multi-qubit quantum teleportation through cluster states (Phys. Rev. Lett. \textbf{86}, 910 (2001)). Extending the cluster state based quantum teleportation on the basic unit of three qubits (or qudits), the corresponding multi-qubit network is constructed for both the qubits and qudits (multi-level) cases. The classical information costs to complete this communication task is also analyzed. It is also shown that this quantum communication protocol can be implemented in the spin-spin system on lattices.

Teleportation-based quantum state tomography

Gustavo Rigolin

We explicitly show that the quantum teleportation protocol can be employed to completely reconstruct arbitrary two- and three-qubit density matrices. We also extend the present analysis to n-qubit density matrices. The only quantum resources needed to implement the teleportation-based quantum state tomography protocol are the ability to make Bell measurements and the ability to prepare a few different single qubit states to be teleported from Alice to Bob.
