Destroying the Multiverse: Entropy Mechanics in Causal Diamonds

Abstract

We present a geometric framework that provides a pathway toward resolving quantum measurement through thermodynamic entropy mechanics within causal diamond structures. Entropy mechanics demonstrates that quantum measurement represents the conversion of coherent entropy states (accessible quantum information) into decoherent entropy states (thermodynamically inaccessible information) at precise spacetime boundaries defined by light cone intersections. The universal Quantum-Thermodynamic Entropy Partition (QTEP) ratio Scoh/|Sdecoh| ≈ 2.257 emerges from von Neumann entropy analysis and is characterized by the fundamental information processing rate γ governing all quantum-to-classical transitions without requiring additional empirical input beyond standard quantum mechanics. We add definition to fundamental information units: ebits (entanglement bits) and obits (observational bits), resolving dimensional inconsistencies between thermodynamic entropy and discrete information content. Crucially, causal diamond geometry - the intersection of future and past light cones - provides calculable spacetime boundaries where entropy conversion occurs, with the universal rate γ serving as the fundamental geodesic parameter governing all timelike paths. This architecture features holographic screens of area A(p, q) encoding information and 4-volumes V(p, q) constraining processing capacity. Entropy mechanics offers a substantive refutation of the Many Worlds Interpretation by demonstrating that quantum measurement creates definite outcomes through negentropy generation rather than reality multiplication. The single causal diamond structure provides sufficient geometric and thermodynamic resources for complete energy and information conservation. Gravity emerges as bulk manifestation of information processing optimization on holographic screens, while black holes represent extreme coherent entropy organizations. This framework provides concrete, testable predictions grounded in geometric andthermodynamic principles, with the fundamental insight that quantum measurement dynamics are intrinsically connected to spacetime structure through the universal information processing rate γ governing timelike geodesics.

Information-Geometric Spacetime: Actualization as the Mechanism for Spacetime Emergence from Quantum Information

Pruk Ninsook

The series Time as Phase Flow (Papers I–IV) established that time is not fundamental but emerges from the geometric phase flow of quantum information, providing a unified account of dynamically generated cosmological constants, informational temporal viscosity, and the suppression of large-scale structure. Despite these successes, a fundamental mechanism explaining why a single, stable observable reality emerges from the space of quantum informational states has remained unresolved. In this work, we introduce the framework of Information-Geometric Spacetime (IGS), in which spacetime itself emerges from the geometry of quantum information, entanglement, and modular flow. Within IGS, we define an Actualization Operator that mediates between quantum informational states and observable spacetime geometry. Derived from first principles, the operator combines entropy-based suppression with modular evolution, governed by a universal geometric constant β = 1/(π√3) ≈ 0.1837 fixed by the geometry of causal diamonds and the associated modular Hamiltonian. We show that actualization preserves information conservation and quantum unitarity, acting as a structural filter that selectively stabilizes informational states capable of forming consistent geometric reality, in close analogy with decoherence-driven classical emergence. Under this mechanism, previously identified cosmological effects—most notably the suppression of the matter power spectrum and the S_8 tension—are reinterpreted as observational consequences of information actualization rather than modifications of gravity or exotic matter. This framework also offers a geometric reformulation of the quantum measurement problem, in which the observer is not an external agent but an emergent process associated with modular structure and entanglement thermodynamics. The theory yields testable predictions in controlled quantum systems and forthcoming cosmological surveys, providing a concrete pathway toward empirical tests of spacetime emergence from quantum information.

The Emergence of Time from Quantum Information Dynamics

Logan Nye

This work explores the hypothesis that time is an emergent phenomenon arising from underlying quantum informational processes. By integrating principles from quantum mechanics, thermodynamics, and general relativity, we develop a comprehensive framework that elucidates the relationship between quantum complexity, entanglement, and the nature of time. We investigate the role of quantum complexity in the evolution of quantum states and demonstrate how the increase in entanglement entropy provides a microscopic basis for the arrow of time. Using the AdS/CFT correspondence and the holographic principle, we establish connections between spacetime geometry and quantum informational measures like entanglement entropy. We address the black hole information paradox within this context, arguing that information is preserved in a highly scrambled form. Additionally, we propose an experimental design using black hole analogues to empirically validate our theoretical predictions, focusing on fast scrambling and the growth of quantum complexity. Our findings suggest that quantum informational dynamics govern the emergence of time and spacetime geometry. This work bridges quantum mechanics, thermodynamics, information theory, and general relativity, offering potential applications in quantum technologies and new insights into the fundamental nature of reality.

entropy_geometric_dimension_informational_metric

Addisu Alemsefa

This work proposes a theoretical framework in which entropy is treated as a geometric degree of freedom in an extended quantum state space. By introducing a resolution parameter defined as the inverse of von Neumann entropy, an informational metric is constructed on the space of density matrices. Within this framework, a causal structure emerges from a null condition on the metric, defining a light-cone-like boundary for the propagation of quantum correlations. Entanglement propagation is derived and shown to depend on entropy evolution, leading to a dynamical causal structure. In the near-equilibrium limit, the model reproduces a Lieb–Robinson-type bound with finite correlation speed. Connections to holography are established by interpreting entropy as a radial coordinate controlling scale, and an analogue of the Ryu–Takayanagi relation is derived, where entropy corresponds to the length of minimal curves in the informational geometry. Black hole horizons are interpreted as maximal entropy surfaces corresponding to a collapse of distinguishability in quantum state space. The framework suggests that spacetime geometry, causality, and gravitational behavior may emerge from entropy-weighted quantum information structure. This work is an independent theoretical exploration aimed at providing a unified perspective linking quantum information, geometry, and gravity.

χ‑Information as a Physical Substance: Geometry, Entropy, Dynamics, and Cosmological Structure within ZEBTS

Анатолий Григорьевич Муха

Abstract In the Zero‑Entropy Basic Theory of Substance (ZEBTS), information is elevated from a descriptive or statistical quantity to a genuine physical substance—χ‑information—capable of generating time, geometry, matter, interactions, and cosmological evolution. This article develops a unified framework in which χ‑information serves as the ontological foundation of physical reality, preceding spacetime and matter and determining their structure through its spectral, geometric, and thermodynamic properties. We introduce the χ‑operator Ω as the fundamental carrier of informational substance and derive its dynamics from a generalized χ‑Dirac operator Dχ. The χ‑metric, χ‑curvature, and χ‑geodesics emerge naturally from variations of Ω, establishing χ‑geometry as the pre‑spacetime structure from which classical geometry arises in the limit of weak χ‑curvature. χ‑entropy, defined as Sχ=−Tr(Ωlog⁡Ω), obeys a reversed second law dSχ/ds≤0, reflecting the intrinsic tendency of χ‑information to self‑organize and reduce uncertainty. This leads to a new χ‑thermodynamics, where χ‑temperature, χ‑energy, and χ‑flows govern the evolution of informational structures. We show that quantum mechanics emerges as a limiting case of ZEBTS: χ‑quantization explains the discreteness of physical spectra, χ‑wave functions generalize the Schrödinger formalism, and χ‑uncertainty relations introduce a minimal length scale tied to χ‑curvature. χ‑entanglement and χ‑measurement acquire a geometric and informational interpretation, resolving conceptual tensions in standard quantum theory. At cosmological scales, χ‑information provides natural explanations for dark matter (as virtual χ‑density), dark energy (as χ‑topological tension), inflation (as χ‑vacuum expansion), and the multiverse (as a spectral hierarchy of χ‑branches). We derive χ‑Friedmann equations, construct PDE models of cosmic self‑regulation, and show how spectral action minimization leads to large‑scale harmonization of the Universe. This work positions ZEBTS as a unified physical theory in which information is not encoded in matter but creates matter, geometry, and dynamics. χ‑information becomes the fundamental substance of Being, and the Universe emerges as a self‑organizing χ‑system governed by spectral, geometric, and thermodynamic principles.

Boundary Compression and the Origin of Classical Reality: A Resolution of the Quantum Measurement Problem

Mark E. Mala

Convergence Codex — Stage A Capstone Paper Tier: meta | Cascade Level: 5 The deepest structures of physical reality—from quantum measurement to spacetime geometry—exhibit a profound commonality that has eluded unified description. Across disparate domains, fundamental properties emerge only through measurement contexts, suggesting that reality's architecture operates through principles more fundamental than the specific laws governing each domain. The structural content of physical reality is determined by information-theoretic compression that occurs precisely at dimensional boundaries where global constraints meet local measurement contexts. This compression mechanism manifests wherever higher-dimensional possibilities must be encoded into lower-dimensional observations: quantum states collapsing to measurement outcomes, gauge symmetries breaking to observable forces, and gravitational horizons encoding bulk information on boundaries. If correct, this principle predicts that any sufficiently complex physical system will exhibit maximum information compression at its dimensional boundaries, with the compression ratio determined by the mismatch between global and local degrees of freedom. New phases of matter should emerge at critical compression thresholds. Black hole interiors should contain precisely the information content that saturates their boundary encoding capacity. Most radically, the principle suggests that physical laws themselves emerge from optimal compression schemes at cosmic boundaries—making the universe's fundamental constants consequences of its global encoding constraints rather than arbitrary parameters. Geometry of Quantum Information: A Unified Framework for Double-Slit Interference, Black Hole Entropy, and the Holographic Universe

zhengda li

Abstract The wave-particle duality, delayed-choice paradox, quantum entanglement, black hole information paradox, and cosmic holography in quantum mechanics have long been regarded as independent fundamental puzzles. Based on a discrete geometric framework (Cantor set topological gluing and recursive folding), this paper derives their unified origin——higher-order noise correlations. We demonstrate that the higher-order correlations of defect points, , constitute a universal geometric carrier of information encoding: In double-slit interference, it naturally resolves the "future determining the past" paradox of delayed-choice experiments, reveals entangled states as macroscopic manifestations of inseparable higher-order correlations, and leaves behind an entanglement residue --- under strong measurement; on the black hole event horizon, it forms a classical-quantum duality with the Heisenberg algebra of soft hair, providing a microscopic statistical interpretation for the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy and naturally truncating the infinite soft degrees of freedom; in the holographic universe, it serves as the boundary condition for generational memory, enabling information transfer across generations through bounce-surface freezing. This unified framework places quantum phenomena, black hole thermodynamics, and cosmic evolution under the same geometric language, proposes four core predictions testable through tabletop experiments, and establishes the quantitative relationship between higher-order correlation entropy and horizon area . If the predictions are confirmed, it will establish discrete geometry as the underlying origin of quantum information and provide the first empirically testable physical support for the holographic universe.
