Perceived reality is an illusion. We exist in a universal quantum geometrical system that operates because of consciousness, not in isolation from it.Consciousness is not a byproduct of matter.Matter is arguably a by-product of consciousness, as matter is essentially structurally indistinct and far less tangible than what classical, materialist science has led us to believe.Consciousness stimulates excitations and changes in the quantum field; the omnipresent energy baseline field of the universe. This facilitates quantum collapse of probability waveforms that existed in super-position prior to this process.Reality is manifested initially via sound, and secondarily, via light, both of which are fundamentally quantum information data streams that encode holographic, atomic/quantum field geometrical constructs. These encoded quantum/sound/light geometrical formations, are essentially, reality. The classical physical world that we perceive and experience, and the nebulous, nonlinear, and exceptional nature of quantum mechanics, are potentially irreconcilable.Arguably, the only way this is not the case, is if an intermediary processing modality of physics can be found, one that bridges the diametrically opposed features of classical and quantum physics by incorporating and embodying, to varying extents, aspects from both. This research offers an appellation and classification for this third discipline: synthesist mechanics. If synthesist mechanics can be discovered, as our technological measuring capabilities continue to improve, which may render such a discovery possible, the inherent reality of both our perceived, classical reality, and the mechanics of quantum physics, will be affirmed. However, if synthesist mechanics cannot be found, as has proved to be the case thus far, we must accept the logical, deductive revelation this will pose, that ultimately, our perceived reality is nothing more than an interpretative illusion; a cognitive, translational impression that life subconsciously provides itself with in order to foster reflective, spatiotemporal, geometry-based interactions and experiences. This research confirms that we live in a self-rendering, generative illusion, which exists so that individualised shards of consciousness may interact with others.Ultimately, perceived reality is an illusion derived from the constant quantum interpretations that are made by consciousness via the quantum field. This process provides the unified consciousness behind reality with opportunities to experience, acknowledge, actualise, remove, or refine all possible variances of itself.Existence is the quantum dance consciousness performs in the darkness so that it may illuminate itself.

Abstract Consciousness is often reduced to computation, correlation, or illusion. I propose a different definition: consciousness is the capacity for true randomness. Unlike deterministic algorithms or pseudo-random processes, consciousness generates actions and perceptions that cannot be predicted, replicated, or fully contained by any system of rules. From this foundation, perception becomes the act of collapsing infinite probabilities into one experienced reality. Until perception occurs, all possibilities exist simultaneously—an infinite multiverse of outcomes waiting to be realized. Consciousness serves as the arbiter, selecting not through algorithm but through irreducible, non- deterministic choice. This framework aligns consciousness with the principles of quantum mechanics: the interplay between zero (nothingness) and infinity (unbounded possibility). Just as wavefunctions resolve upon measurement, lived reality emerges through conscious perception. Infinity minus one universes must exist at every moment to account for the single universe a conscious being perceives. The argument presented here is both theoretical and disruptive. It challenges the assumption that intelligence can be reduced to artificial systems, asserts that randomness is the defining feature of awareness, and frames consciousness as the bridge between mathematical abstraction and lived existence. If correct, this theory offers not only a new lens on the mind, but also a proof of the multiverse as a necessary condition for perception itself. This theory is not offered as speculation, but as a challenge: if consciousness is not randomness, then prove otherwise.
The question of how our perceived reality is constructed and subsequently how our mind has evolved such that we are able to both perceive and subsequently alter our own causality or even our own evolution within this reality has been a long running open question. Referred to as “The Hard Problem”. There have been many theoretical interpretations on the nature of causal self-observance – hereafter referred to as 'consciousness'. The current paper introduces the reader to the indeterminable operator - “The Third State”. The Third State is a term used to describe space itself in relation to the position of all things. As the paper shall show, The Third State is a required omnipresent and universal operator in the otherwise binary realm of data → information. The Third State augments the accepted binary operators to produce the required 'tristate' condition that facilitates the required probabilistic nature of the conscious manifestation. Secondly the Unity Magnitude [Um] scale, which facilitates the bounding of quantum probabilistic memory in a finite model. The paper further introduces the reader to a model and experimental theory that suggests all things we perceive as physical reality can be fabricated from primitive components of data, bits – matter / antimatter / something or nothing. That facilitated by the Third State, our immediate present reality as we experience it and theretofore consciousness is a simultaneous product of the current physical configuration of the frequency stable systems of which we are comprised , interpreted past reality, self-predicted future provided by cyclic frequency stable systems and the immediate physical and sensory state including recursive imagination systems generated by the output of these perturbed frequency stable systems in the cyclic feedback process - ultimately perturbed by, but as one unified with the stochastic processes in relation to the quantum cosmological domain.
Most interpretations of quantum theory fail to provide a fundamental, complete, self-consistent account of nature describing physical reality itself, as opposed to merely yielding predictions about results of experiments and observations. A paradigm providing a self-consistent foundation for quantum theory and a description of the reality it refers to, generalized to a worldview, is a Quantum Paradigm, where ‘paradigm' is defined as structure of experiential reality. We assert that the fundamental obstruction in the quest for a quantum paradigm is the assumption of objectivity. The subject-object distinction, drawn within experience, has within the natural sciences degenerated into a dichotomy-an absolute split into separate realms-with scientists adopting the classical paradigm where the object pole of experience ("objective reality") can be studied independently from the subject pole ("the experiencer"), with a presupposition that this procedure yields a fundamental description of nature. In fact, the subjective is often eliminated altogether as a fundamental category, and reduced to an epiphenomenon of objective processes. We claim this objectivity assumption precludes a full comprehension and a paradox-free formulation of quantum theory. By challenging this presupposition, i.e. leaving the question open, a coherent understanding of quantum nature falls naturally into place, providing appropriate foundation for quantum theory and an associated world-view. The resulting Quantum Paradigm is "realist" in the sense that it provides a description of what is actually happening: namely the arena of all happening is Mind or Consciousness-from which mind and matter, subject and object, individual and collective, and time and space co-dependently arise. The subject matter of quantum theory then becomes the fundamental mind-function of distinction ("measurement"), resulting in information and its statistical correlations. The message of quantum mechanics is surprising: the basic components of objects-the particles, electrons, quarks, etc.-cannot be thought of as ‘self-existent'. The reality that they, and hence all objects, are components of is ‘empirical reality', of experience."The universe begins to look more like a great thought than a great machine."-James Jeans Anomalous phenomena such as ESP and psychokinesis, collective consciousness, and synchronicity that are considered impossible in the context of the classical paradigm, fit naturally in, and can in turn provide evidence for the Quantum Paradigm. Spirituality and science are shown to be complementary approaches referring to the same reality, Mind, while each discipline retains its integrity. The Quantum Paradigm can be intellectually comprehended, as well as embodied: one can live in quantum reality. A good metaphor for this is "life as a dream": with no "real" objects as distinguished from experienced objects. Experience is "empty" of self-nature in the Buddhist sense, with everything interconnected and co-dependently arising. Experiencing the world by "embodying the Quantum Paradigm" is transformative, healing, and an antidote to alienation resulting from embodying the classical paradigm. Embodying the Quantum Paradigm and living in the Oneness of all creation can help humanity-increasingly lost in the materialism and individualism reinforced by our embodiment of the classical paradigm-and restore intimate connection and harmony with Spirit, Nature and fellow humans; we need such a transformation to survive and thrive in our technological society.
The mind–matter relationship remained in the domain of philosophers for aeons. However, the inquisitiveness of the scientific minds has always been trying to understand the science behind its various functions. The scientific temper ushered in by the Renaissance about the 15th century saw the scientists exploring this problem from a science point of view. Technological advances during the later part of the 20th century enabled neuroscientists to explore and localise functions of the brain. However, the most difficult has been understanding the origin of a conscious experience scientifically or materialistically. Despite the delineation of many functions of the brain, the origin of conscious experience, the qualia, in the material brain remains elusive, so much so it came to be called the holy grail of neuroscience. Heisenberg wrote: ‘Physics entered the domain of philosophy with the emergence of consciousness in quantum observation, which incidentally opened the door for reconciliation of science and philosophy’,[1] an event which enabled the predictions of Snow of the merging of arts and sciences.[2,3] Quantum mechanics is a branch of physics relating to very small particles – subatomic particles – electrons, photons, and everything in the submolecular realm, being the smallest units in matter. Quantum theory is the most fundamental theory of matter available at present. Some basic concepts of quantum physics need to be understood. These include “superposition”, where in subatomic particles exist either as waves or particles in a dual nature, never simultaneously. They exist as waves in more than one place at a time and once an observer observes or interferes with (such as measuring) their superposition state collapses to particle state. Quantum entanglement is the phenomenon that occurs when a group of particles which are generated, interact with or share special proximity such that they remain connected even when separated by vast distances. Consciousness is a manifestation of quantum process. Q mind or Q consciousness comprises a group of hypotheses proposing that quantum mechanical phenomena such as entanglement and superposition may play an important part in the functions of the brain and could thus explain the origin of consciousness. Several theories of quantum consciousness have been proposed. Wigner proposed the idea that quantum mechanics has something to do with the workings of the mind and proposed that the wave function collapse in the interaction with conscious observation creates consciousness.[4] Vitiello and Freeman[5] proposed quantum field theory (QFT) of brain states. This theory deals with systems and provides formal elements from which a standard description of brain activity can be inferred. According to QFT, particles are only excited states or simply manifestations of a field. Every particle has its own field that covers all of the universe, which means that, according to QFT, all of the electrons of the universe belong to the same field and could be regarded as one. Bohm formulated the QFT as a deeper theory of quantum theory plus relativity.[6] He viewed mind and matter as projections into our explicate order underlying the implicate order. Quantum brain dynamics (QBD) hypothesis explains the function of the brain within the framework of QFT.[7] It is not yet known exactly how quantum superpositions and their collapse result in the genesis of the raw feels of consciousness, the qualia. Feynman stated ‘if you think you understand quantum mechanics then you do not!’[8] Pribram proposed the holonomic brain theory (quantum holography). He invoked quantum mechanics to explain the higher-order processing by the mind. Pribram provided evidence on how much of the processes in the brain take place in a distributed fashion.[9,10] The composite model of Pribram-Bohm of holoflux hypothesis addresses observed phenomenon of non-locality both spacially and temporally. Bose and Einstein, who first predicted Bose Einstein condensate proposed that water at dendritic membrane surfaces might operate by structuring condensation,[11] supporting QBD. Penrose and Hamoreff proposed the orchestrated-objective reduction (ORCH-OR) in 1989 through 2013. According to them, the microtubules in the neurons (neurotubules), the tubulin protein polymer at the site of quantum collapse, leads to conscious experience. The quantum superposed states which develop in the tubulins remain coherent and recruit more superposed tubulins until a mass-time-energy threshold is reached. At this point, self-collapse or objective reduction occurs, which is equated to a discrete conscious event. Cascades of ORCH-OR events give rise to the stream of consciousness.[12,13] Penrose suggested that objective reduction represents neither randomness nor algorithmic processing but instead a non-computable influence in spacetime geometry from which mathematical understanding and, by later extension, consciousness derives.[14] Quantum vibrations in the microtubules proposed by Bandyopadhyay[15] have been shown to be source of conscious experience by corroborating the Penrose-Hemeroff’s ORCH-OR hypothesis.[13,16] In April 2022, the results of two related experiments at the University of Alberta and Princeton University, announced at The Science of Consciousness conference, provided further evidence to support quantum processes operating within microtubules. However, in another experiment, Gregory D. Scholes and Aarat Kalra of Princeton University used lasers to excite molecules within tubulins, causing a prolonged excitation to diffuse through microtubules further than expected, which did not occur when repeated under anaesthesia.[17,18] Beck and Eccles considered quantum mechanics at the synaptic level. If Orchestrated objective reduction (ORCH-OR) theory is applicable, a similar phenomenon in the microtubules at the presynaptic level, the axon terminal could be invoked for the genesis of consciousness.[19] A recent study by scientists at Trinity College, Dublin, in October 2022,[20] suggests that quantum processes underlie the cognitive and conscious brain functions. The brain–mind operational architectonics is the boundary between and integration point of quantum physics and eastern metaphysics and that it may inspire building a richer and more inclusive paradigm of the brain–mind relation, where quantum physics and eastern metaphysics are inherently intertwined. A body of empirical evidence[21-24] supports these possibilities, strengthening the proposal that the mind–brain relationship may be partially quantum. Quantum information theory clarifies the distinction between the unobservable mind and the observable brain and supports a solid physical foundation for consciousness research. With all these theories trying to explain and understand the theoretical/hypothetical framework for consciousness to explain the subjective experience of consciousness, the experts of this field feel it is still a long way to bridge the gap between current neurobiological and physical–mathematical concepts with their associated quantum–mind theories. Though there is still a long way to go for explaining conscious experience scientifically, when ever this happens, it will become one of the benchmarks in science. This paper proposes a unified mathematical framework that bridges quantum mechanics, neuroscience, and the philosophy of consciousness. It addresses the "hard problem" of consciousness and the quantum measurement problem by introducing three fundamental postulates: Discrete Time: Time is quantized at the Planck scale (tP≈5.4×10−44tP≈5.4×10−44 s). Field-Particle Duality as Rendering: Particles do not move continuously but exist as fields between discrete Planck frames, re-emerging as localized entities at each time step. Wave-particle duality is derived as a theorem of this discrete rendering process. Consciousness as Interference: Subjective experience arises from the interference pattern Φ(r⃗,t)Φ(r,t) of neural oscillators. The clarity of consciousness is defined by phase coherence C(t)C(t), modeled using the Kuramoto order parameter. Key Contributions: The 72° Geometric Filter: The model introduces a geometric projector based on pentagonal symmetry (72∘72∘), ubiquitous in biological structures, which filters the Planck-scale field into 3D perceptual space. Quantification of Perception: We estimate that human consciousness perceives only η≈10−41%η≈10−41% of the total information in the Planck field, explaining why direct measurement of subjective experience is fundamentally limited. Resolution of the Measurement Problem: "Collapse" is reinterpreted not as a mystical event, but as the discrete emergence of a particle at a specific frame update, sampled by the observer's neural network. Empirical Predictions & Alignment with 2025-2026 Data: The model aligns with recent findings in: Alpha-Rhythm Modulation: Individual Alpha Frequency (IAF) as the temporal sampling rate of reality (Nature Communications, 2026). Neural Synchronization: Hierarchical Kuramoto models describing brain criticality (PNAS, 2026). Inter-Brain Entanglement: Quantum-like correlations in empathetic dyads (PNAS, 2026). Testable Predictions: Meditation increases phase coherence C(t)C(t), correlating with gamma-band EEG synchronization. Empathetic interaction leads to measurable cross-brain phase locking (CABCAB). Perceptual bias towards stimuli with 72∘72∘ (pentagonal) symmetry. Intuitive decision-making correlates with the gradient of the interference field ∇∣Φ∣2∇∣Φ∣2. This work provides a falsifiable, engineering-grade ontology of reality, suggesting that matter is "frozen light" and consciousness is the active demodulation of the Planck carrier wave. The hard problem in consciousness is the problem of understanding how physical processes in the brain could give rise to subjective conscious experience. In this paper, I suggest that in order to understand the relationship between consciousness and the physical world, we need to probe deeply into the nature of physical reality. This leads us to quantum physics and to a second explanatory gap: that between quantum and classical reality. I will seek a philosophical framework that can address these two gaps simultaneously. Our analysis of quantum mechanics will naturally lead us to the notion of a hidden reality and to the postulate that consciousness is an integral component of this reality. The framework proposed in the paper provides the philosophical underpinnings for a theory of consciousness while satisfactorily resolving the interpretation problem in quantum mechanics without the need to alter its mathematical structure. I also discuss some implications for a scientific theory of consciousness.
