Abstract

The paradigm of quantum computing is a new frontier of computation based on phenomena of quantum physics. Quantum computing offers a gateway to the realm of scientific exploration that is inaccessible to conventional computing. But to fully realize this capability, we often have to deal with roadblocks due to inherent problems such as the fragile nature of qubits, which makes them highly susceptible to noise from the external environment and within. Therefore, an in-depth understanding of various types of noise in qubits and the possible ways to tackle them is vital and indispensable for devising a solution. In this work, we explore the different kinds of noise that plague a quantum computing system. In addition, it contains a discussion on the techniques to suppress them, which are open for further investigation.

Survey on Quantum Noise-aware Machine Learning

Chao Lu, Shamik Kundu, Ayush Arunachalam +1 more

Quantum Computing demonstrates potential exponential speedup over classical computing in a plethora of tasks including chemistry simulation, linear algebra, and large integer factorization. Machine learning is one such popular application that benefits from this advantage of quantum computers to facilitate speedup. However, due to the inherent noise in quantum computers, machine learning algorithms encounter problems relating to fidelity and accuracy. Existing research has addressed these issues pertaining to the unreliable execution of machine learning models in noisy quantum computers. In this paper, we explore the effects of noise in quantum machine learning and demonstrate approaches to mitigate this issue.

Shaping the Future with Quantum Computing: An Exploration of its Emerging Field and Revolutionary Potential

Siddharth Rana, Hari Mohan Rai, Khuramov Latif Yоkubboevich +1 more

The field of Quantum Computing opens up multiple doors to various problems simultaneously, by going through all the possible solutions at the same time. It incorporates multiple phenomena from the realm of quantum mechanics and channelizes them into various aspects of a problem. It takes a unique approach to tackle a problem, by identifying and simultaneously working on the solution in every possible way or approach. The major leap of quantum computing is in the field of cryptography, it incorporates various rules from quantum mechanics and provides a secure data transmission using quantum channels – Fiber Optical Cable. Further, the integrity of the data can be enhanced by using quantum entanglement to provide an extra layer of security to the data transmission. A different approach can be put forward by making use of teleportation in the quantum realm, allowing the particles to be transmitted from one location in space to another, instantly, thus transmitting the data by surpassing the speed limit of the Universe – the speed of light and thus, achieving the fastest data transmission. This paper encompasses studies of various intriguing phenomena that have been discovered in the quantum realm, along with their explanations and examples. The potential future of the emerging domain of quantum computing has also been discussed thus establishing a profound connection between the human understanding of the universe with the quantum understanding of the universe, providing an idea that the true universe emerges from the deep realm of quantum mechanics.

Quantum Entanglement Non-Linear Computation: Adaptive Noise Injection

Jincheng Zhang

Quantum entanglement, a cornerstone of quantum mechanics, offers unprecedented computational capabilities. However, its delicate nature makes it susceptible to decoherence, leading to errors in computations. This paper investigates a novel approach to mitigate these vulnerabilities through the implementation of adaptive noise injection within a quantum computation framework. We propose a system where the rate and type of noise injected are dynamically adjusted based on the state of the entangled qubits, effectively enhancing the stability and accuracy of the resulting quantum state. The core mechanism centers around leveraging the inherent fragility of entanglement to guide its evolution. This research explores the potential of this self-adaptive strategy to significantly improve the performance of quantum computations.
