Based on electron spin in semiconductor quantum dot,we implement a quantum control-NOT gate without using spin-spin interaction. The electron spin state is selected as qubit state, and only the single qubit operation is used in our scheme.

Entangling spin and charge degrees of freedom in semiconductor quantum dots

Marko J. Rančić

In this theoretical manuscript I propose a scheme for entangling a single-electron-semiconductor spin qubit with a single-electron-semiconductor charge qubit in a triangular triple-quantum-dot configuration. Two out of three quantum dots are used to define a single-electron-semiconductor charge qubit. Furthermore, the spin qubit is embedded in the Zeeman sublevels of the third quantum dot. Combining single-qubit gates with entangling controlled-not gates allows one to construct a swap gate and therefore to use the semiconductor spin qubit as a long-lived memory for the semiconductor charge qubit.

Tomography of the two-electron spin qubits in semiconductors

Zhan Su, Tu, Tao, Cao, Gang +2 more

We propose an approach to reconstruct two-electron spin qubit states in semiconductor quantum dots by employing tomographic techniques. This procedure exploits the combination of fast gate operations on electron spins trapped in dots and dynamical nuclear polarization of the underlying Ga and As nuclei. The presented method can be an important tool in solid state quantum computation for complete characterization of qubit states and theirs correlations.
