In the field of healthcare, the development of artificial intelligence (AI) gives a tremendous opportunity for improving patient care and medical diagnostics. However, the safety of these artificial intelligence systems continues to be a major worry. There is a possibility that traditional encryption methods will not be able to withstand advanced cyber threats. This research proposes to improve the safety of artificial intelligence systems in the healthcare industry by utilizing the power of Quantum networks. Because quantum networks are based on the principles of quantum mechanics, which are comparable to those of traps and superpositions, they provide security in previously unforeseen conditions. It is possible to have sensitive case data transferred securely by implementing Quantum communication protocols into healthcare AI systems. This will protect the data from being intercepted and from being accessed by unwanted parties. When it comes to protecting AI operations in the healthcare industry, ensure patient sequestration, and the integrity of medical data.

Healthcare powered by artificial intelligence is revolutionising the way patients are treated: AI helps diagnose intelligently and lets one manage data intelligently. Nevertheless, this is under threat with the emergence of quantum computing, which threatens to crack all established cryptographic protection in these systems. Currently, this study aims to explore how ready AI-powered healthcare security systems are to counter attacks based on quantum computing. It discusses present vulnerabilities, and considerations of post-quantum cryptographic protections and provides quantum resilience strategic measures. Based on secondary data analysis, literature review, and case studies, the study highlights the major gaps and offers a road map to make safe AI applications in healthcare. Research results underline the importance of implementing quantum-resistant technologies in the short term to maintain long-term data integrity and protection against the system.
Quantum networks, on the other hand, might help make hospital AI systems safer. Principles from the field of quantum physics are used by quantum networks to create communication channels that can't be changed or listened to. In this research, how healthcare workers are using quantum networks to make AI systems safer is looked into. The research talks about the main ideas behind quantum cryptography, such as quantum entanglement, quantum teleportation, and QKD methods. Integration issues and practical problems that come up when adding quantum networks to healthcare systems that are already in place are also talked about. When healthcare groups use quantum networks, they can make their defences stronger against cyber threats and data breaches. This will make people believe AI-powered healthcare solutions even more. In a world where healthcare is becoming more and more digital, our research adds to the ongoing conversation about cyber security in healthcare by suggesting quantum networks as a useful and effective way to keep private and sensitive patient data safe.
Applying quantum artificial intelligence (QAI) to protect healthcare systems includes several technologies that improve data security and protect against threats. The chapter emphasizes the need for advanced cybersecurity techniques in healthcare, integrating QAI to protect sensitive data. Traditional defense frameworks are insufficient, and QAI, a combination of quantum computing and artificial intelligence (AI), is needed to address the complexities of cyber threats and establish enduring cybersecurity frameworks. The chapter describes the cybersecurity problems of the healthcare sector. Digital transformation has revolutionized the healthcare sector by introducing electronic health records, connected medical devices, and telemedicine which now provide a bigger target for cyber adversaries. The delicacy of health data is the reason why it is the major target of ransomware, data breaches, and other hacking techniques. As the threats grow more complicated, traditional security solutions may become less effective. This chapter presents QAI as a novel technique for taking care of these issues using the incredible computational power of quantum computing combined with the pattern recognition and decision-making skills of AI. Furthermore, the chapter reviews the field of quantum resistance, which is defined as the capability of algorithms to deliver secure encryption even in the face of quantum computers; under this context, the chapter presents lattice-based and hash-based cryptography as critical to protecting healthcare data from future quantum cyberattacks. These encryption techniques protect against threats from quantum computing and most of today’s common encryption methods such as the Rivest-Shamir-Adleman (RSA) and Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) are vulnerable to breakage by quantum machines.
The combination of Quantum Networks and Artificial Intelligence is increasingly seen as a potent force that has the potential to drastically alter the provision of healthcare services. With an emphasis on topics including precision medicine, drug discovery, predictive analytics, telemedicine, and improving healthcare infrastructure, this study explores the relationships between artificial intelligence and quantum networks and how they are used in the healthcare industry. Healthcare providers can utilize advanced computational power, improve data security, and enable secure and efficient data sharing and analysis by integrating AI algorithms with Quantum Networks. Yet, the incorporation of these technologies also brings about difficulties, such as technical obstacles, ethical concerns, and regulatory intricacies. The article emphasizes the significance of teamwork among healthcare, AI, and Quantum Networks stakeholders to tackle obstacles and unlock the complete capabilities of these technologies.
Aim/Purpose: Medical images are very sensitive data that can be transferred to medical laboratories, professionals, and specialist for referral cases or consultation. Strict security measures must be utilized to keep these data secured in computer networks when transferred to another party. On a daily basis, unauthorized users derive ways to gain access to sensitive patient medical information. Background: One of the best ways to which medical image could be kept secured is through the use of quantum cryptography Methodology : Applying the principles of quantum mechanics to cryptography has led to a remarkable new dimension in secured network communication infrastructure. This enables two legitimate users to produce a shared secret random bit string, which can be used as a key in cryptographic applications, such as message encryption and authentication. Contribution: This paper can make it possible for the healthcare and medical professions to construct cryptographic communication systems to keep patients’ transferred data safe and secured. Findings: This work has been able to provide a way for two authorized users who are in different locations to securely establish a secret network key and to detect if eavesdropping (a fraudulent or disruption in the network) has occurred Recommendations for Practitioners: This security mechanism is recommended for healthcare providers and practitioners to ensure the privacy of patients’ medical information. Recommendation for Researchers: This paper opens a new chapter in secured medical records Impact on Society Quantum key distribution promises network security based on the fundamental laws of quantum mechanics by solving the problems of secret-key cryptography . Future Research: The use of post-quantum cryptography can be further researched.
Using quantum cryptography can significantly support cybersecurity in healthcare, paving the way for safer digital environments. As the sector evolves, ongoing research and innovation in quantum technologies will be essential for ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of patient information, ultimately enhancing the quality of care delivered in an increasingly interconnected world. The chapter explores the evolution of quantum cryptography to strengthen cybersecurity in the healthcare sector. As reliance on digital technology increases, protecting sensitive patient information becomes more important. Quantum cryptography offers a new way to create secure communication using the principles of quantum mechanics.
