Battery capacity in tripartite quantum systems under local Pauli noise

Hanqi Wang, Helin Gong, Bo Li

Abstract Pauli noise, typically represented by Pauli operators ( X , Y , Z ), is a prevalent type of disturbance in quantum batteries. Its primary characteristic is inducing quantum state flips, which significantly interfere with the charging and discharging processes, as well as the energy storage capacity of the battery. This paper investigates the impact of local Pauli noise on regulating battery capacity in a quantum battery composed of a tripartite quantum system. Specifically, we analyze the variation trends of battery capacity under the influence of noise for three-qubit Bell-diagonal states and X-states. Furthermore, we derive the minimum value of the maximum ergotropy under the effect of local Pauli noise.

Improving Quantum Battery Capacity in Tripartite Quantum Systems by Local Projective Measurements

Yiding Wang, Hui Liu, Shao‐Ming Fei +1 more

Abstract The impact of local von Neumann measurements on quantum battery capacity is investigated in tripartite quantum systems. Two measurement‐based protocols are proposed and the concept of optimal local projective operators is introduced. Specifically, explicit analytical expressions are derived for the protocols when applied to general three‐qubit ‐states. Furthermore, the negative effects of white noise and dephasing noise on quantum battery capacity are analyzed, proving that optimal local projective operators can improve the robustness of subsystem and total system capacity against both noise types for the general tripartite ‐state. The performance of different schemes in capacity enhancement are numerically validated through detailed examples and it is found that these optimized operators can effectively enhance both subsystem and total system battery capacity. The results indicate that the local von Neumann measurement is a powerful tool to enhance the battery capacity in multipartite quantum systems.

Enhancing quantum battery capacity through local bipartite projective measurement

Xie Chuanmei, Senbo Tian, Jianlan Chen +1 more

Abstract Quantum batteries, as an important energy storage system in the future, are of vital importance to practical applications. However, due to the interaction between the quantum battery system and the environment, the battery capacity will decline. Then how to increase the capacity of quantum batteries becomes crucial. In this paper, we propose a new scheme via a local bipartite projective measurement to enhance the quantum battery capacity (QBC). Initially, two Werner states are taken as the carriers of the quantum batteries. Performing a local bipartite projective measurement performed on the two initially Werner states, a final state as a new quantum battery carrier can be realized. It is found that the QBC in the final state can be larger than those in the two initial states. That is to say, the enhancement of QBC can be realized via the local bipartite projective measurement.
