Rimu.jl: Random integrators for many-body quantum systems

Matija Čufar, C. J. Bradly, Ray Yang +2 more

Rimu$.$jl is a Julia package for solving many-body quantum problems. The core of the package is a matrix-free implementation of Hamiltonians and other operators and compact representation of Fock states, which together allow for efficient methods suitable for high-performance computing. Rimu$.$jl includes a Julia implementation of the full configuration interaction quantum Monte Carlo (FCIQMC) algorithm which is a type of projector QMC algorithm for stochastically solving the time-independent Schrödinger equation. It also includes many well-known model Hamiltonians, and an interface for exact diagonalisation based on external eigenvalue solvers. Both the stochastic and exact diagonalisation methods are accessed with a CommonSolve$.$jl interface. We describe the FCIQMC algorithm and how to obtain estimators of observables as well as the key features of the implementation.

CoupledDipoles.jl: a Julia package for cold atoms

Noel Araujo Moreira

Modern physics includes theoretical, experimental, and numerical approaches that often overlap. One such field exemplifying this integration is Cold Atoms, which has witnessed a surge in intriguing discoveries over the past few decades. Not surprisingly, its numerical aspects, such as convergences tolerances, or fastest algorithms, have been largely absent from the literature, with the prevailing notion that equations can be effortlessly solved using conventional techniques. This perception, however, cannot align with reality.Computer simulations in this field have boundaries that are not documented and can affect physical outcomes, but pinpointing them is challenging. We introduce CoupledDipoles.jl,a specialized Julia Package designed for simulating interacting cold atoms through various mathematical models. Our package offers a flexible infrastructure that allows for different models (e.g.2D models, where the effective physics is constraint into a plane) to be incorporated and, in addition, brings guarantees that its core methods have optimal performance.By addressing this unconventional gap in the literature, we aim to shed light on the numerical methods in the field, often overlooked, providing a valuable resource for both newcomers seeking an entry point and experts aiming to enhance their productivity in this domain.

SmoQyElPhQMC.jl: An open-source Julia package for efficient and scalable quantum Monte Carlo simulations of electron-phonon coupled models

Benjamin Cohen-Stead, James Neuhaus, Kipton M. Barros +2 more

We introduce version 1.0 of the SmoQyElPhQMC.jl package, an open-source Julia code for performing scalable quantum Monte Carlo simulations of electron-phonon coupled model Hamiltonians. SmoQyElPhQMC.jl is built upon the SmoQyDQMC.jl codebase and implements improved versions of the algorithms presented in [B. Cohen-Stead \textit{et al}., Phys. Rev. E 105, 065302 (2022)] to enable (near-linear) scalable simulations of a broad class of uncorrelated $e$-ph models both in system size and inverse temperature. By extending the functionality of the flexible scripting interface introduced in SmoQyDQMC.jl, the SmoQyElPhQMC.jl package continues to allow users to adapt it to different workflows and interface with other software packages in the Julia ecosystem. The code for this package can be downloaded from our GitHub repository at https://github.com/SmoQySuite/SmoQyElPhQMC.jl or installed using the Julia package manager. The online documentation, including examples, can be obtained from our documentation page at https://smoqysuite.github.io/SmoQyElPhQMC.jl/stable/.
