Abstract

Abstract We propose a quantum coherence protection scheme for a two-qubit system by considering the exact evolution of multi-interacting qubits in a common reservoir. We find that the l 1 norm of coherence and the relative entropy of coherence can be noticeably enhanced by increasing the number of qubits in the weak/strong system-environment coupling regime, which contrasts sharply with the impact of coupling between qubits. Moreover, in the infinite-time limit, all the coherence measures reach their steady values which are determined only by the number of qubits.

Enhancing two-qubit quantum coherence in a correlated dephasing channel

Ming‐Liang Hu, Wu Zhou

Abstract We investigate how the classical correlations between successive actions of a colored dephasing channel affect the decoherence of a two-qubit system. Our calculation shows that the l 1 norm of coherence, the relative entropy of coherence, and the robustness of coherence can be noticeably enhanced by increasing the strength of classical correlations in the whole time interval during which the two qubits pass through the channel, while the coherence weight is enhanced only when exceeds a critical value. Moreover, in the infinite-time limit, all the coherence measures reach their steady values which are determined only by .

Quantum speedup dynamics process in multiqubit-interacting system

Ji-Yang Sun, Kai Dong Xu, Zai-Dong Li

We investigate the dynamics of an N -qubit interacting system coupled to a common reservoir. In the weak system-environment coupling regime, the crossovers from Markovian to non-Markovian and from no speedup to speedup can be realized by adjusting the controllable parameters (i.e., the coupling strength between qubits and the number of the qubits). However, in the case of strong coupling, the multiple transitions from non-Markovian regime to Markovian regime and from speedup to no speedup can be induced by manipulating controllable parameters. In addition, a phenomenon can be noticed that the number of qubits and the coupling strength between the qubits have the different effect on the non-Markovian dynamics and speedup evolution of the system in the above weak- and strong-coupling regimes. Our results provide an effective theoretical scheme for the realization of non-Markovian speedup dynamic processes. Published by the American Physical Society 2024

Protecting coherence by weak measurement and quantum measurement reversal

Qiong Wang, Zhi He

Abstract The dynamic behavior of the relative entropy of coherence for a two-level system is systematically investigated in different regimes. We derive the exact expressions of relative entropy quantifying coherence for an exactly solving model consisting of single qubit interacting with independent structured reservoir, show explicitly that the weak measurement (WM) and quantum measurement reversal (QMR) operation indeed help for protecting the coherence. In addition, the freezing phenomenon of the coherence can be detected by using the optimal WM and QMR operation.

Extracting work from multiqubit-interacting system coupled to a common environment

Maryam Hadipour, Soroush Haseli

Abstract We consider the task of extracting work from multiqubit-interaction system coupled to a common non-Markovian environment. By adjusting various parameters such as the number of qubits and the strength of interaction between qubits, the environment can be made non-Markovian in both strong coupling and weak coupling states. It will be shown that the number of qubits and the coupling strengthbetween the qubits have a positive role for enhancing the process of extracting work from the quantum system.

Enhancement of coherence in qubits due to interaction with the environment

V. V. Ignatyuk, V. G. Morozov

The influence of the initial preparation on dephasing in open quantum dynamics is studied using an exactly solvable model of a two-level system (qubit) interacting with a bosonic bath. It is found that, for some classes of nonselective preparation measurements, qubit-bath correlations lead to a significant enhancement of coherence in the qubit at the initial stage of evolution. The time behavior of the qubit purity and entropy in the regime of enhancement of coherence is considered for different temperatures and coupling strengths.

Coherence Trapping in Open Two-Qubit Dynamics

Mariam Algarni, K. Berrada, S. Abdel‐Khalek +1 more

In this manuscript, we examine the dynamical behavior of the coherence in open quantum systems using the l1 norm. We consider a two-qubit system that evolves in the framework of Kossakowski-type quantum dynamical semigroups (KTQDSs) of completely positive maps (CPMs). We find that the quantum coherence can be asymptotically maintained with respect to the values of the system parameters. Moreover, we show that the quantum coherence can resist the effect of the environment and preserve even in the regime of long times. The obtained results also show that the initially separable states can provide a finite value of the coherence during the time evolution. Because of such properties, several states in this type of environments are good candidates for incorporating quantum information and optics (QIO) schemes. Finally, we compare the dynamical behavior of the coherence with the entire quantum correlation.
