Abstract

In this article, we study the evolution of the two-qubit system with Ising spin-chain environment by choosing the Lindblad equation to describe this process. First, we expand the Hamiltonian of a two-qubit system with its eigenstates and give the Lindblad equation for the evolution of the two-qubit system with Ising spin-chain as the environment. Compared with directly calculating the differential equation between elements of density matrix, we choose a method to solve the Lindblad equation with a smaller calculation dimension. Finally, by constructing an operator solution with operators, we obtain the dynamics of the two-qubit system with Ising spin-chain environment.

Quantum dynamics of two-spin-qubit systems

Văn Hiếu Nguyễn

The aim of this topical review is a systematic and concise presentation of the results of a series of theoretical works on the quantum dynamics of two-spin-qubit systems towards the elaboration of a physical mechanism of the quantum information transfer between two spin-qubits. For this purpose the main attention is paid to exactly solvable models of two-spin-qubit systems, since the analytical expressions of the elements of their reduced density matrices explicitly exhibit the mutual dependence of the quantum information encoded into the spin-qubits. The treatment of their decoherence due to the interaction with the environment is performed in the Markovian approximation. Rate equations for axially symmetric systems of two coupled spin-qubits non-interacting, as well as interacting, with the environment are exactly solved. It is shown how the solutions of rate equations demonstrate the physical mechanism of the quantum information exchange between the spin-qubits. This mechanism holds also in all two-spin-qubit systems whose rate equations can be solved only by means of numerical calculations. Exact solutions of rate equations for two uncoupled spin-qubits interacting with two separate environments reveal an interesting physical phenomenon in the time evolution of the qubit-qubit entanglement generated by their interaction with the environments: the entanglement sudden death and revival. A two-spin-qubit system with an asymptotically decoherence free subspace was also explicitly constructed. The presented calculations and reasonings can be extended for application to the study of spin-qubit chains or networks.

Dynamic Entanglement Evolution of Two-qubit XYZ Spin Chain in Markovian Environment

Ren Yi-Chong, Fan Hong-Yi

We propose a new approach called Ket-Bra Entangled State (KBES) Method for converting master equation into Schrödinger-like equation. With this method, we investigate decoherence process and entanglement dynamics induced by a $2$-qubit spin chain that each qubit coupled with reservoir. The spin chain is an anisotropy $XYZ$ Heisenberg model in the external magnetic field $B$, the corresponding master equation is solved concisely by KBES method; Furthermore, the effects of anisotropy, temperature, external field and initial state on concurrence dynamics is analyzed in detail for the case that initial state is Extended Wenger-Like(EWL) state. Finally we research the coherence and concurrence of the final state (namely the density operator for time tend to infinite)

Entanglement dynamic of arbitrary number qubit in the open quantum systems

Zahra Bakhshi, E. Morsheddoost, Zeynali, A.

We study the entanglement dynamics of multi-qubit systems coupled to a common dissipative environment, focusing on systems with one or two initially excited qubits. Using the Lindblad master equation, we derive the time evolution of the density matrix and analyze the entanglement between qubit pairs via the concurrence measure. The solution method involves applying the Lindblad super-operator to the initial density matrix, generating a subspace of non-duplicate states. We extend our analysis to $n$-qubit systems, including three-qubit and four-qubit configurations, and explore the effects of thermal noise on entanglement dynamics. Our results demonstrate how initial conditions, system size, and environmental interactions shape entanglement, providing valuable insights for quantum information processing applications.

Dynamics of quantum coherence and correlations in a transverse Ising spin chain environment

Qi Han, Huan Wang, Shuai Wang +2 more

In this paper, we study the dynamical processes of quantum coherence and correlations for two central qubits system coupled with a transverse Ising spin chain. Suppose the initial state of quantum system is the Werner state and the initial state of environment is the ground state of spin chain, and the corresponding time evolution operator, decoherence factor and reduced density matrix are given. We deduce the analytical expressions of evolution of quantum coherence, entanglement and quantum discord. We find that when the spin chain undergoes quantum phase transition (QPT), the entanglement vanished at time [Formula: see text], and the coherence and discord vanished when the decoherence factor decayed to zero. Besides, we also find that the environmental scale N, coupling strength g and parameter P of Werner state do not change the evolution rules of quantum correlation, but accelerate their decay rate with these parameters’ increase.

Quantum transport in the Ising chain: global vs local approach

Azam Mani

We study energy and spin transport in a one-dimensional Ising chain which is connected to two separate heat baths on both sides. By applying the Born-Markov approximation, within the global approach, we derive the Markovian master equation of the system, and also the explicit form of the Lindblad operators and the steady state. Thereafter, we investigate the behavior of energy and spin dynamics of the system in the global regime. Finally, we solve the problem with the local approach, and we show that the results are not the same for both approaches.

Entanglement transitions in the quantum Ising chain: A comparison between different unravelings of the same Lindbladian

G. Piccitto, Angelo Russomanno, Davide Rossini

We study the dynamics of entanglement in the quantum Ising chain with dephasing dissipation in a Lindblad master equation form. We consider two unravelings which preserve the Gaussian form of the state, allowing us to address large system sizes. The first unraveling gives rise to a quantum-state-diffusion dynamics, while the second one describes a specific form of quantum-jump evolution, suitably constructed to preserve Gaussianity. In the first case we find a crossover from area-law to logarithm-law entanglement scaling and draw the related phase diagram. In the second case we only find logarithm-law scaling, remarking on the different entanglement behavior for different unravelings of the same Lindblad equation. Finally, we compare these outcomes with the predictions of a non-Hermitian Hamiltonian evolution, finding conflicting results.
