Quantum synchronization and entanglement of two magnon modes in a magnomechanical system

Hamza Harraf, Mohamed Amazioug, Rachid Ahl Laamara

We investigate theoretically the improvement of the entanglement between the indirectly coupled two magnon modes in a magnomechanical system with magnon squeezing. We quantify the degree of entanglement via logarithmic negativity between two magnon modes. We show a significant enhancement of entanglement via magnon squeezing. Additionally, the entanglement of two magnons decreases monotonically under thermal effects. We demonstrate that with an increasing photon tunneling rate, entanglement is robust and resistant to thermal effects. We use purity as a witness to the mixing between the two magnon modes. We show that synchronization and purity are very robust against thermal effects rather than entanglement. We examine the relationship between quantum entanglement, purity, and quantum synchronization in both steady and dynamic states. According to our results, this scheme could be a promising platform for studying macroscopic quantum phenomena.

Measurement-Based Control of Quantum Entanglement and Steering in a Distant Magnomechanical System

Huatang Tan

In this paper, we propose a scheme for measurement-based control of hybrid Einstein–Podolsky–Rosen (EPR) entanglement and steering between distant macroscopic mechanical oscillator and yttrium iron garnet (YIG) sphere in a system of an electromechanical cavity unidirectionally coupled to an electromagnonical cavity. We reveal that when the output of the electromagnonical cavity is continuously monitored by homodyne detection, not only the phonon–magnon entanglement and steering but also the purities of the phononic, magnonic and phonon–magnon states are considerably enhanced. We also find that the measurement can effectively retrieve the magnon-to-phonon steering, which is not yet obtained in the absence of the measurement. We show that unconditional phonon–magnon entanglement and steering can be achieved by introducing indirect feedback to drive the magnon and mechanical subsystems. The long-distance macroscopic hybrid entanglement and steering can be useful for, e.g., fundamental tests for quantum mechanics and quantum networks.

Nonreciprocal magnon-magnon entanglement in a spinning cavity-magnon system

Zhisheng Xu, Mengxue Li, Chunfang Sun +1 more

Cavity-magnon systems, combining magnons and photons, offer a versatile platform for studying quantum entanglement and advancing quantum information science. In this work, we propose a scheme for generating nonreciprocal magnon-magnon entanglement in a hybrid system consisting of two yttrium iron garnet spheres coupled to a spinning whispering-gallery-mode cavity. By leveraging the magnon Kerr nonlinearity and the Sagnac effect arising from the cavity rotation, we show that the entanglement can be substantially enhanced, and the resulting entanglement exhibits pronounced nonreciprocal characteristics. Furthermore, our scheme demonstrates that the entanglement remains robust against thermal noise and persists at bath temperatures up to 100 mK. This work underscores the potential of spinning cavity-magnon systems as a versatile platform for realizing nonreciprocal quantum devices and facilitating the development of quantum technologies.
