Abstract

Quantum teleportation (QT) provides a useful way to securely transfer unknown quantum state between distant nodes without physically sending the states themselves. In this paper, we present a teleportation scheme of the most general hybrid multi-qudit state via EPR pairs with different dimensions in the chain network. In this structure, the EPR channels shared between neighbor nodes could be distinct, which means that the shared EPR pairs could be different in dimension and the parameters with each other, demonstrating a universality scenario in realistic transmission. In addition, we discuss the condition that can ensure the integrity of the transmitted information with available channel resource, and our scheme could provide a method to solve the resemble problem in the construction of future quantum network.

Quantum state propagation in quantum wireless multi-hop network based on EPR pairs

Kan Wang, Xutao Yu, Shengli Lu

Quantum wireless multi-hop network (QWMN) is one emerging area which is relative to quantum communication and information. Long distance delivery of quantum information in network is an important problem in future. This results in our study on quantum state propagation in QWMN by using EPR pairs. In this paper, we present and prove method to transfer quantum state in QWMN. With this method, quantum state can be teleported from source to destination and intermediate nodes can complete teleportation in parallelism and independently in QWMN. The time complexity of this method is independent of number of hops. In addition, we verify that EPR-pair bridging is still applicable for transmitting quantum state in n-hop routing and extend the logical relation of result to n-hop case. Based on these studies, we can propagate quantum states instantaneously in QWMN and destination node can recover the state only with the measurement outcomes of intermediate nodes.

Bilateral fault-tolerant qudit teleportation in multi-hop quantum networks

Zongyi Li, Yuzhen Wei, Shibei Xue +2 more

Abstract In this paper, we present one general fault-tolerant multi-hop teleportation scheme for arbitrary unknown qudit system, exploring a strategy for distilling high-dimensional EPR pairs within the operational errors channel, where the introduced auxiliary pairs don’t have to be in high-fidelity. These errors can be detectable and traceable in quantum networks, promising that the accumulation of the operational errors can be rectified by the final receiver during the teleportation, avoiding the error correction implemented by the intermediate nodes. Moreover, we extend the strategy to the non-maximally entangled EPR channels. In the end, we discuss the potential strategy to improve our scheme including eliminating the encoding step for the error correction codes. Even through the operational errors may occur at the repeater nodes, the performance analysis demonstrates that the scheme significantly preserves the valuable entangled resources and reduces the operational complexity, illustrating the robustness to against the operational errors in repeater nodes.

Multi-hop teleportation based on W state and EPR pairs

Hai-Tao Zhan, Xutao Yu, Pei-Ying Xiong +1 more

Multi-hop teleportation has significant value due to long-distance delivery of quantum information. Many studies about multi-hop teleportation are based on Bell pairs, partially entangled pairs or W state. The possibility of multi-hop teleportation constituted by partially entangled pairs relates to the number of nodes. The possibility of multi-hop teleportation constituted by double W states is after n -hop teleportation. In this paper, a multi-hop teleportation scheme based on W state and EPR pairs is presented and proved. The successful possibility of quantum information transmitted hop by hop through intermediate nodes is deduced. The possibility of successful transmission is after n -hop teleportation.

Multi-hop teleportation of unknown qutrit state based on the GHZ channels

Yi Ding, Min Jiang

The combination of quantum communication technology and wireless networks brings a flexible and secure communication method, which adapts to a more complex network environment. In this paper, a new multi-hop teleportation scheme is investigated for transferring an unknown qutrit state between distant parties. The intermediate nodes are introduced and linked with each other via partially entangled Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) states as quantum channels. In this multi-hop teleportation protocol, the source node and all the intermediate nodes can perform the entanglement measurement and transmit the measurement results simultaneously. Furthermore, we find the relationship between the measurement results and the receiver’s state, which is given as the matrix form. Compared with previous protocols for multi-hop transmission, our scheme can reduce the transmission delay and save the transmission overhead.

Multi-hop teleportation in a quantum network based on mesh topology

Xiaoqin Gao, Zaichen Zhang, Bin Sheng

In this paper, we propose a mesh-topology-based multi-hop teleportation scheme for a quantum network. By using the proposed scheme, quantum communication can be realized between two arbitrary nodes, even when they do not share a direct quantum channel. Einstein–Podolsky–Rosen pairs are used as quantum channels. The source node (initial sender) and all intermediate nodes make Bell measurements independently. They send the results to the destination node (final receiver) by classical channels. The quantum state can be determined from the Bell measurement result, and only the destination node is required for simple unitary transformation. This method of simultaneous measurement contributes significantly to quantum network by reducing the hop-by-hop transmission delay.

Many studies about multi-hop teleportation are based on Bell pairs, partially entangled pairs or W state. The possibility of multi-hop teleportation constituted by partially entangled pairs relates to the number of nodes. The possibility of multi-hop teleportation constituted by double W states is (4/9)~n after n-hop teleportation. The successful possibility of quantum information transmitted hop by hop through intermediate nodes is deduced. The possibility of successful transmission is (2/3)~n after n-hop teleportation.
