Abstract

Abstract This paper is concentrated on one-step transferring four-dimensional atomic states between atoms trapped in distant cavities connected by an optical fiber. Compared with the conventional schemes, one-step transferring four-dimensional atomic states means higher efficiency in preparing quantum network. In addition, we also calculate the effects of photon leakage out of cavity and fiber in this quantum process. The result shows the high fidelity can be reached based on the current experimental conditions.

Quantum state transfer between distant nodes of a quantum network via adiabatic passage

Yan‐Li Zhou, Yimin Wang, Long-Long Liang +1 more

A scheme is presented to realize transfer of a three-dimensional quantum state between two atoms trapped in distant cavities connected by an optical fiber, whose mode is resonant with the polarization cavity modes. Performing an adiabatic passage along dark states, the fiber mode remains in the vacuum state and the population of the cavities being excited can be negligible under certain conditions. In addition, atomic transitions in our scheme are largely detuned from cavity modes. As a consequence, the atomic spontaneous emission and the fiber decay can be effectively eliminated. Furthermore, we give some discussions about the fidelity of our scheme.

Quantum state transfer between three ring-connected atoms

Yan-Qing, Guo, Yao Deng, Pei Pei +1 more

A robust quantum state transfer scheme is discussed for three atoms that are trapped by separated cavities linked via optical fibers in ring-connection. It is shown that, under the effective three-atom Ising model, arbitrary quantum state can be transferred from one atom to another deterministically via an auxiliary atom with maximum unit fidelity. The only required operation for this scheme is replicating turning on/off the local laser fields applied to the atoms for two steps with time cost $\frac{\sqrt{2}π}{Γ_{0}}$. The scheme is insensitive to cavity leakage and atomic position due to the condition $Δ\approx κ\gg g$. Another advantage of this scheme is that the cooperative influence of spontaneous emission and operating time error can reduce the time cost for maximum fidelity and thus speed up the implementation of quantum state transfer.

Robust generation of a four-dimensional entangled state in separate cavities via quantum Zeno dynamics

Li-Tuo Shen, Huai‐Zhi Wu, Rongxin Chen

We propose a scheme for generating a four-dimensional entanglement between two atoms trapped in two separate cavities connected by an optical fiber. Based on quantum Zeno dynamics, the entangled state is obtained only in one step. We also numerically investigate the influence of photon leakage and atomic spontaneous emission on the fidelity of the entangled state. The result shows that our scheme is robust against the cavity decay and very promising for realization with current experimental technology.

A scheme for quantum state transfer between distant atoms

Yong-Cheng Ou, Zhiming Zhang

A scheme is proposed to implement quantum state transfer between two distant atoms through sending the atoms across two distant cavities connected via an optical fiber. The field state, which preserves the information of the first atom, is transmitted from one cavity to the other along the fiber. After the field interacts with the second atom for a defined time, the state transfer can be accomplished with unit efficiency. The realization of this scheme is within current experiment technology.

Quantum State Transfer among Three Ring-Connected Atoms

A robust quantum state transfer scheme is discussed for three atoms that are trapped by separated cavities linked via optical fibers in a ring connection. It is shown that, under the effective three-atom Ising model, an arbitrary unknown quantum state can be transferred from one atom to another deterministically via an auxiliary atom with maximum unit fidelity. The only required operation for this scheme is replicating turning on/off the local laser fields applied to the atoms for two steps with time cost . The scheme is insensitive to cavity leakage and atomic position due to the condition Δ ≈ κ ≫ g. Transferring Multi-Dimensional Quantum States and Preparing Quantum Networks in Cavity QED

Zi-hong Chen, Zheng Xiao-Lan, Chang-Geng Liao

In this paper we propose a scheme for transferring quantum states and preparing quantum networks. Compared with the previous schemes, this scheme is more efficient, since three or four-dimensional quantum states can be transferred with a single step and information interchange of three-dimensional quantum states can be realized, which is a significant improvement. It is based on the resonant interaction of a three-mode cavity field with an atom. As a consequence, the interaction time is shortened greatly. Furthermore, we give some discussions about the feasibility of the scheme.
