Abstract

Abstract In this interferometry the geometrical phase, von-Neumann entropy, and non-classical features of a field interacting with a four-level moving atom in the presence of a Kerr medium were investigated. We highlight the influence of intensity-dependent coupling and energy dissipation to examine the temporal behavior of the geometrical phase, the statistical properties of the field as well as the von-Neumann entropy. The results show that the evolution of system dynamics, atomic von-Neumann entropy, and geometrical phase are strongly influenced by the Kerr medium, field mode structure, and atomic motion. Using empirically available parameters, we test this result, and many new items are discovered.

GEOMETRIC PHASE AND DISENTANGLEMENT OF A MOVING FOUR-LEVEL ATOM IN THE PRESENCE OF NONLINEAR MEDIUM

Nour Zidan, S. Abdel‐Khalek, Mahmoud Abdel‐Aty

In this paper, we investigate the geometric phase of the field interacting with a moving four-level atom in the presence of Kerr medium. The results show that the atomic motion, the field-mode structure and Kerr medium play important roles in the evolution of the system dynamics. As illustration, we examine the behavior of the geometric phase and entanglement with experimentally accessible parameters. Some new aspects are observed and discussed.

Dynamics of Entropy and Nonclassicality Features of the Interaction between a ⋄-type Four-Level Atom and a Single-Mode Field in the Presence of Intensity-Dependent Coupling and Kerr Nonlinearity

Hamid Reza Baghshahi, Mohammad Kazem Tavassoly, Abbas Behjat

The interaction between a $\diamondsuit$-type four-level atom and a single-mode field in the presence of Kerr medium with intensity-dependent coupling involving multi-photon processes has been studied. Using the generalized (nonlinear) Jaynes-Cummings model, the exact analytical solution of the wave function for the considered system under particular condition, has been obtained when the atom is initially excited to the topmost level and the field is in a coherent state. Some physical properties of the atom-field entangled state such as linear entropy showing the entanglement degree, Mandel parameter, mean photon number and normal squeezing of the resultant state have been calculated. The effects of Kerr medium, detuning and the intensity-dependent coupling on the temporal behavior of the latter mentioned nonclassical properties have been investigated. It is shown that by appropriately choosing the evolved parameters in the interaction process, each of the above nonclassicality features, which are of special interest in quantum optics as well as quantum information processing, can be revealed.

A deformed model for N-type four-level atom and a single mode field system in the presence of the Kerr medium

N. H. Abdel-Wahab, S. Abdel‐Khalek, Eied Mahmoud Khalil +2 more

Abstract The aim of this paper is to study the interaction between a single mode field and four-level atom in N - configuration under nonlinear medium effect. The non-resonance case and the deformation forms in the coupling interaction between the field and the atom are included. The wave function of the proposed system is obtained when the atom is prepared initially in its excited state while the field is prepared in a coherent state. The effect of the deformation and nonlinear medium on the temporal behavior of collapse-revival, field entropy and geometric phase of the system are examined. The results show that the presence of the intensity of the coupling interaction and the non-linear medium have an important influence on the properties of these phenomena.

Eman M. A. Hilal, Sadah Abdullah Alkhateeb, S. Abdel‐Khalek +2 more

We study the interaction of a three two-level atoms (3-2LA) with a one-mode op?tical coherent field in coherent state in the presence of non-linear Kerr medium. The three atoms are initially prepared in upper and entangled states while the field mode is in a coherent state. The constants of motion, 3-2LA and field density matrix are obtained. The analytic results are employed to perform some investigations of the temporal evolution of the von Neumann entropy as measure of the degree of entanglement between the 3-2LA and optical coherent field. The effect of the detuning and the initial atomic states on the evolution of geometric phase and en?tanglement is analyzed. Also, we demonstrate the link between the geometric phase and non-classical properties during the evolution time. Additionally the effect of detuning and initial conditions on the Mandel parameter is studied. The obtained results are emphasize the impact of the detuning and the initial atomic states of the feature of the entanglement, geometric phase and photon statistics of theoptical coherent field.
