Abstract

In this paper, we investigate the geometric phase of the field interacting with a moving four-level atom in the presence of Kerr medium. The results show that the atomic motion, the field-mode structure and Kerr medium play important roles in the evolution of the system dynamics. As illustration, we examine the behavior of the geometric phase and entanglement with experimentally accessible parameters. Some new aspects are observed and discussed.

A nonlinear quantum scheme of a single mode optical field and a four-level atom under energy dissipation effect

Abstract In this interferometry the geometrical phase, von-Neumann entropy, and non-classical features of a field interacting with a four-level moving atom in the presence of a Kerr medium were investigated. We highlight the influence of intensity-dependent coupling and energy dissipation to examine the temporal behavior of the geometrical phase, the statistical properties of the field as well as the von-Neumann entropy. The results show that the evolution of system dynamics, atomic von-Neumann entropy, and geometrical phase are strongly influenced by the Kerr medium, field mode structure, and atomic motion. Using empirically available parameters, we test this result, and many new items are discovered.

Quantum Entanglement and Geometric Phase of Two Moving Two-Level Atoms

S. Abdel‐Khalek

An important kind of interaction between two moving two-level atoms and a field mode, where the coupling parameter is taken to be time-dependent, is presented in this paper. Nonlocal correlations between the atoms and the field have been investigated by means of concurrence and von Neumann entropy in terms of the involved parameters of the system. The results show that the atomic motion plays an essential role in the evolution of system dynamics, its nonlocal correlations and geometric phase. Moreover, an interesting correlation between the entanglement and the geometric phase during the evolution was observed. The presented system can be very useful for generating and maintaining high amount of entanglement by means of controlling the parameters of atomic motion.

A deformed model for N-type four-level atom and a single mode field system in the presence of the Kerr medium

N. H. Abdel-Wahab, S. Abdel‐Khalek, Eied Mahmoud Khalil +2 more

Abstract The aim of this paper is to study the interaction between a single mode field and four-level atom in N - configuration under nonlinear medium effect. The non-resonance case and the deformation forms in the coupling interaction between the field and the atom are included. The wave function of the proposed system is obtained when the atom is prepared initially in its excited state while the field is prepared in a coherent state. The effect of the deformation and nonlinear medium on the temporal behavior of collapse-revival, field entropy and geometric phase of the system are examined. The results show that the presence of the intensity of the coupling interaction and the non-linear medium have an important influence on the properties of these phenomena.

Dynamical evolution of a five-level atom interacting with an intensity-dependent coupling regime influenced by a nonlinear Kerr-like medium

N. H. Abdel-Wahab, S. M. Zangi, Tamer A. Seoudy +1 more

We present an analytical solution for a quantum system characterized by a double $$\Lambda$$ five-level atom interacting with an intensity-dependent coupling regime, influenced by a nonlinear Kerr-like medium. We also derive the constants of motion through Heisenberg’s equations. Furthermore, the dynamical evolution of the entanglement and quantum coherence between the atom and the field is discussed using linear entropy and $$l_{1}$$ -norm of coherence. Through a comprehensive examination of the quantum system, it is observed that both the detuning and the Kerr-like parameters exert a significant impact on the degree of entanglement and coherence. However, the impacts of detuning and the Kerr effect become less pronounced when the photon multiplicity is high. In addition, we conduct a comparison between the five-level atomic system and a four-level system, revealing that the number of energy levels has a profound impact on the behavior of entanglement and coherence. These findings highlight the importance of atomic structure and photon multiplicity in controlling and optimizing quantum processes, particularly in applications involving quantum communication and information processing.

A MOVING RUBIDIUM ATOM INTERACTING WITH A SINGLE MODE CAVITY FIELD IN THE PRESENCE OF KERR MEDIUM

R. A. Zait, N. H. Abd El-Wahab

We study the interaction between a moving four-level rubidium atom and a single mode cavity field in the presence of a nonlinear Kerr-like medium. We derive the basic equations of motion for the atomic system and show that it is exactly solvable in the rotating wave approximation. The momentum increment, the momentum diffusion and the quasi-probability distribution Q-function of this system are studied. We investigate numerically the influence of the Kerr medium on the evolution of the previous statistical properties in the exact resonant and nonresonant cases where the atom is initially in the ground state and the field is in a coherent state. It is found that the Kerr medium has an important effect on their evolutions. Finally, conclusions and discussion are given.

Entanglement and geometric phase of the coherent field interacting with a three two-level atoms in the presence of non-linear terms

Eman M. A. Hilal, Sadah Abdullah Alkhateeb, S. Abdel‐Khalek +2 more

We study the interaction of a three two-level atoms (3-2LA) with a one-mode op?tical coherent field in coherent state in the presence of non-linear Kerr medium. The three atoms are initially prepared in upper and entangled states while the field mode is in a coherent state. The constants of motion, 3-2LA and field density matrix are obtained. The analytic results are employed to perform some investigations of the temporal evolution of the von Neumann entropy as measure of the degree of entanglement between the 3-2LA and optical coherent field. The effect of the detuning and the initial atomic states on the evolution of geometric phase and en?tanglement is analyzed. Also, we demonstrate the link between the geometric phase and non-classical properties during the evolution time. Additionally the effect of detuning and initial conditions on the Mandel parameter is studied. The obtained results are emphasize the impact of the detuning and the initial atomic states of the feature of the entanglement, geometric phase and photon statistics of theoptical coherent field.
