Abstract

There is a strong consensus that quantum computers are likely to solve previously intractable problems, especially in data science and AI. Nowadays, processing power of machine learning algorithms is limited by that of conventional computers. Quantum computing (QC) is one of the digital trends with the quickest rate of growth, and it seems to provide an answer to large data problems. It is a combination of the fields of computer science, information theory, and quantum physics. Quantum computers use the ability of subatomic particles to exist in more than one state at once to solve complex problems. In spite of its recent origin, quantum computing is already being used in the field of data analytics. QC can process huge datasets at much quicker rates and can provide data to AI models. By comparing schemas to swiftly assess and comprehend the link between two counterparts, QC can also aid in the integration of data. The ability to perform more sophisticated analysis and build machine learning models is a benefit of employing quantum computers.

Role of Artificial Intelligence in Quantum Computers

Sandeep Chouhan, Ramandeep Sandhu, Chandani Bhasin

The union of artificial intelligence (AI) and quantum computing (QC) is set to revolutionize computational power, ushering in a new era of technology. While machine learning (ML) revolutionized industries with the capability of making intelligent predictions based on data processing, it is circumscribed by the constraints of classical computer science. QC, which can process massive data concurrently with the aid of quantum bits (qubits), solves these limitations. Quantum machine learning (QML) involves QC but adds traditional ML algorithms to make the processing of complex data sets faster and efficient. Taking advantage of quantum properties like superposition and entanglement, QML can advance model training, speed up pattern recognition, and solve large-scale issues that classical ML cannot do or is impossible. This technology will see phenomenal advances in health care, cryptography, financial analysis, and drug development. The combination of AI and quantum computing will dramatically speed up the scope and scale of ML operations and open up new avenues to accomplish things in ways that were previously impossible. Although challenges exist in creating stable quantum systems and scalable algorithms, the pairing of AI, ML, and QML is a watershed moment in computational science.

Quantum Computing in Artificial Intelligence

V. Shanmugavalli, A. S. Renugadevi, R. Jayavadivel +1 more

The goal of quantum computing is to perform tasks with much more precision and efficiency than conventional computers. In the immediate term, quantum computers are unlikely to replace their regular counterparts. To calculate machine learning (ML) algorithms, “Quantum artificial intelligence (Quantum AI)” leverages the processing capability of quantum computing to produce outcomes that are not possible with traditional computers. The technologies of intelligent machines and quantum technology are both revolutionary. Using traditional computers, AI develops practical applications, but it is limited by the computers’ processing power. Quantum computing is based on the nature and behavior of a collection of fundamental particles known as a qubit. The two most fundamental ideas in quantum physics are superposition and entanglement. (1) Superposition: The element enters a superposition state, causing it to act as if it were in each state at the exact same time. (2) Entanglement: Nanoparticles that previously came into contact retain a type of bond and can become twisted in groups, which is known as entanglement. In contrast, quantum computers are designed to handle enormous volumes of data and swiftly identify trends and abnormalities. Using AI and quantum technologies to process massive volumes of data and expedite the resolution of complex algorithms, gain better insight into models, and integrate multiple sets of data. This chapter discusses the benefits of quantum computing, AI, technological challenges, fraud detection, mistake correction, and more.

Quantum Computing: Applications and Future Importance

W. Sarada, N. Rajalaxmi, Suchitha Reddy G.

Quantum computing is a fantastic technology that has been evolved throughout time and is 100 trillion times quicker than a supercomputer. It is based on quantum theory, which can do calculations using probability theory and linear algebra. These two disciplines of research are involved in all sub-areas of Data Science and other contemporary technology domains, and can answer a wide range of complex problems which even the most powerful supercomputer cannot carry out. Instead of just 0's and 1's where the classical computers encipher the data or convert the information, it works on qubit that is, it can hold up to two bits which is called as Quantum superposition where it has two different states zero or one in which it can be defined and is also possible for it to exist in both, i.e. a superposition of the two states. Light based quantum computer outperforms the classical super computer by exceeding its performance speed. Quantum computing can solve known problems such as encryption and cyber security. Quantum computing has the ability to process quickly to arrive at a solution and offers well and more computing power to the world of Artificial Intelligence systems and efficient Machine learning systems by solving small and large problems much faster. The main aim or objective of this paper is to discuss about the applications and importance of quantum computing in future which is very helpful to the people who are associated with cryptography, Aviation, Data Analytics, Forecasting, Medical research, Pattern matching, self-driving cars and so on.
