Thus, threaten the insurance of Blockchain-based application including critical applications such as Smart Cities. In this paper, we demonstrate the Blockchain-based Smart Cities’ framework and we present an understanding overview that encloses the menaces of a Quantum computer on Blockchain and Blockchain-based applications essentially Smart City. We explain as well some Post-Quantum solutions concerning the security of Blockchain-based Smart City.
The emergence of quantum networked AI has revolutionised city planning, resource management, and social functioning, thereby establishing an unprecedented turning point in numerous domains. Quantum computing and AI-driven networks offer unparalleled processing capabilities, which facilitate real-time data analysis, decision-making, and optimisation. This research implies that the integration of artificial intelligence and quantum computation has the potential to facilitate the creation of intelligent infrastructure systems that are more environmentally friendly, secure, and efficient. Intelligent transportation systems, smart infrastructure, dynamic urban landscapes, and enhanced communication networks are among the most notable applications. Quantum networked AI has the potential to substantially impact infrastructure development in a variety of sectors, including energy management, traffic flow, public safety, and environmental monitoring.
This paper explores the integration of quantum computing and blockchain technology to develop a quantum blockchain network architecture specifically designed for transportation services. The convergence of these technologies addresses critical challenges in the transportation sector, such as data security, transaction speed, and scalability. Quantum computing, with its principles of superposition and entanglement, offers unprecedented computational capabilities, while blockchain technology provides a decentralized and secure ledger system. The proposed architecture leverages quantum cryptographic protocols to ensure secure communication channels and data integrity. The framework for transportation services facilitates secure and efficient data exchange between various stakeholders, enhances transaction processing speeds, and supports autonomous operations through smart contracts. These contracts automate tasks such as fare payments, cargo deliveries, and vehicle maintenance scheduling, reducing administrative overhead and improving service quality. Implementing innovative architecture involves addressing several technical challenges, such as scaling quantum hardware, developing robust quantum error correction methods, and integrating quantum and classical systems. Cost and resource considerations are also critical, given the substantial investment required for quantum hardware and the need for specialized expertise. As the technology matures, it promises to provide a secure and efficient foundation for modern transportation services, benefiting stakeholders across the industry.
The increasing complexity of urban environments necessitates computational advancements beyond the capabilities of classical systems. Traditional computing frameworks, grounded in a Newtonian worldview, face significant limitations in addressing critical urban challenges such as traffic optimization, energy distribution, and governance. Emerging technological paradigms seek to overcome these constraints by integrating quantum computing, quantum theory, and artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance urban intelligence and efficiency. One such paradigm is “Quantum AI Urbanism,” an interdisciplinary approach that leverages quantum principles such as superposition and entanglement to enable faster data processing, enhanced machine learning capabilities, and quantum-secure cryptography. By unlocking new computational potentials, this approach offers transformative possibilities for reimagining city infrastructure, governance, and citizen engagement. This article introduces the layered framework of quantum AI urbanism, outlining its core components, applications, and implications for city management. It highlights the transformative potential of quantum AI in reshaping urban infrastructure, governance, and citizen engagement while acknowledging the barriers that must be addressed for large-scale implementation. By establishing a foundational understanding of quantum AI urbanism, this study contributes to the ongoing discourse on the future of smart cities and provides insights into the pathways for integrating quantum computing and AI into urban systems.
The rapid accumulation of big data in the Internet era has gradually decelerated the progress of Artificial Intelligence (AI). As Moore's Law approaches its limit, it is imperative to break the constraints that are holding back artificial intelligence. Quantum computing and artificial intelligence have been advancing along the highway of human civilization for many years, emerging as new engines driving economic and social development. This article delves into the integration of quantum computing and artificial intelligence in both research and application. It introduces the capabilities of both universal quantum computers and special-purpose quantum computers that leverage quantum effects. The discussion further explores how quantum computing enhances classical artificial intelligence from four perspectives: quantum supervised learning, quantum unsupervised learning, quantum reinforcement learning, and quantum deep learning. In an effort to address the limitations of smart cities, this article explores the formidable potential of quantum artificial intelligence in the realm of smart cities. It does so by examining aspects such as intelligent transportation, urban operation assurance, urban planning, and information communication, showcasing a plethora of practical achievements in the process. In the foreseeable future, Quantum Artificial Intelligence (QAI) is poised to bring about revolutionary development to smart cities. The urgency lies in developing quantum artificial intelligence algorithms that are compatible with quantum computers, constructing an efficient, stable, and adaptive hybrid computing architecture that integrates quantum and classical computing, preparing quantum data as needed, and advancing controllable qubit hardware equipment to meet actual demands. The ultimate goal is to shape the next generation of artificial intelligence that possesses common sense cognitive abilities, robustness, excellent generalization capabilities, and interpretability.
The internet of things (IoT) has been used in a wide range of applications since its emergence, including smart cities, intelligent systems, smart homes, smart agriculture, and healthcare. IoT systems rely on information processing and sharing, where data leakages may jeopardize their security and privacy. On the other hand, quantum computers are poised to solve complex problems that traditional computers cannot. However, due to the fact that the majority of cyber algorithms are based on significant computational complexity, quantum computing poses a substantial threat to the cyber security of global digital infrastructure, including IoT networks, smart cities, banking, and intelligent infrastructure. This chapter discusses potential security and privacy measures for a post-quantum world against threats posed by quantum computing, including post-quantum cryptography, quantum software testing, post-quantum blockchain technology, and architectural considerations for creating post-quantum secure IoT systems.
