Abstract

The theory of quantum computing is being actively developed. Despite the fact that quantum computing device has some peculiarities, any task designed for a classical computer can be reproduced on a quantum system. The aim of the research is to develop a methodology for constructing models of quantum systems simulators using hardware simulators. The subject of this research is methods for constructing quantum computing devices and systems. In the course of the research, the system analysis methods and computer modeling, methods of object-oriented design were used. Modern high-level languages were used to solve the problems of constructing a modular quantum system with an open architecture. The work of a quantum microarchitecture using an algorithm for optimizing a quantum computational process has been developed and modeled. A universal methodology for modeling algorithms of a quantum nature using the hardware core and requirements for the mutual operation of software and hardware components for the efficient operation of a quantum system is derived.

Development and Research of a Quantum Control System for the Computational Process and the Execution of Algorithms

Sergey M. Gushanskiy, Viktor Potapov, Н М Коробейникова

Currently, the theory of quantum computing is actively developing. Despite the fact that a quantum computer has some features, any algorithm designed for a classical computer can be implemented for a quantum one. The relevance of the topic of quantum computers is confirmed by the fact that even now banking systems, cryptography and encryption of information require enormous resources of computing systems, these are just some examples, but the most important and vivid ones that relate to the everyday life of a huge part of the world's population. A hardware computing core has been developed and simulated, which is the main part of an accelerator based on field-programmable gate array with computer aided design Altera Quartus. Considering the obtained time dependence of the number of cycles required for the impact of a single-qubit quantum gate on a quantum register on the number of qubits and parallel arithmetic logic units in the hardware computing core, when simulating quantum computing, a method was developed to determine the increase in hardware performance and ways to improve the performance of an accelerator based on a hardware computing core were developed. based on field-programmable gate array.

At all stages of the development of information technology, much attention has been paid tothe issues of modeling functioning specialized high-performance computing systems, which make itpossible to provide the necessary performance indicators in combination with minimized costs ofsoftware resources and energy consumption. The developed information system, focused on human-machine interaction, allows you to clearly see the strengths and weaknesses of the developedquantum computing device, to prove the advantages of its use. The developed modeling informationsystem is a visual aid for understanding the main methods of interaction between informationprocesses and information resources. A number of the most important problems cannot besolved using classical computers, including classical supercomputers, in a reasonable time. Recently, there has been a surge in interest in quantum computers. This article is devoted to solvingthe problem of research and development of a circuit and a simulation technique for a hardwareaccelerator of quantum computing. The work touches upon the problems of research and development of methods for the functioning of quantum circuits and models of quantum computing devices. The relevance of these studies lies in the mathematical and software modeling and implementationof the fundamental components of quantum computing models. The scientific novelty ofthis direction is expressed in the optimization of the quantum computational process. The scientificnovelty of this area is primarily expressed in the constant updating and supplementing of the fieldof quantum research in a number of areas. The aim of this work is to implement a technique forconstructing a hardware accelerator. The technical support of the information quantum systemand processes has been implemented, including new software for the transmission and presentationof information. The use of a quantum computing information system differs from its counterpartsby a significant increase in the speed of solving computational problems and, most importantly,by an exponential increase in the speed of solving NP-complete problems that can besolved on classical machines in unacceptable time. Due to the fact that the class of NP problems iswide, the applicability and significance of the developed method for constructing a modular systemof quantum computing is beyond doubt.

The Methodology of Implementation and Simulation of Quantum Algorithms and Processes

Sergey M. Gushanskiy, Maxim Polenov, Victor Potapov

This paper describes a detailed analysis of the fundamental components involved in the quantum algorithms design in accordance with the narrowly defined software and hardware for the implementation of quantum algorithms and the stages of their design. A modular development and subsequent simulation of the process of super dense quantum coding and quantum teleportation was realized. In accordance with the use of vector and matrix algebra, within the framework of quantum algorithms, the “quantum” software is defined. This software consists of quantum intermediate representation of information, quantum language of physical operations and quantum assembler. The software environment for quantum algorithms design and further implementation according to the defined stages is proposed and considered.

A software methodology for compiling quantum programs

Thomas Häner, Damian S. Steiger, Krysta M. Svore +1 more

Abstract Quantum computers promise to transform our notions of computation by offering a completely new paradigm. To achieve scalable quantum computation, optimizing compilers and a corresponding software design flow will be essential. We present a software architecture for compiling quantum programs from a high-level language program to hardware-specific instructions. We describe the necessary layers of abstraction and their differences and similarities to classical layers of a computer-aided design flow. For each layer of the stack, we discuss the underlying methods for compilation and optimization. Our software methodology facilitates more rapid innovation among quantum algorithm designers, quantum hardware engineers, and experimentalists. It enables scalable compilation of complex quantum algorithms and can be targeted to any specific quantum hardware implementation.

A quantum computer architecture perspective: executing quantum applications on real quantum processors

Carmen G. Almudéver

Building a quantum computer is not only about having qubits or quantum processors, analogously to classical computers are not only based on transistors or integrated circuits. Accordingly, in the very recent times, a few unique research groups in academia and companies have been exploring and proposing high-level and low-level programming languages, compilers, microarchitecture and instruction set architectures for quantum computation as well as different computer architecture approaches. In other words, developing a quantum computer requires bridging quantum applications and quantum devices. This talk will address the main challenges of building a scalable full-stack quantum computing system followed by a discussion on its architecture focusing on fault tolerance and compilation of quantum algorithms on NISQ devices. I will also provide my vision on how the research community could accelerate the process towards building such a scalable quantum machine, potentially through vertical cross-layer co-design structured methodologies.

Development and research of software and methods for constructing quantum algorithms for solving NP class problems

In modern science and technology, there is a constant need to solve such strategically important tasks as predicting the weather and calculating climatic changes, creating cancer drugs, processing signals from the Universe to search for extraterrestrial civilizations, processing symbolic information, cryptanalysis, and anticipatory calculation of the trajectories of moving air and space objects, etc. The practical implementation of the listed tasks on modern, even supercomputer systems requires an unacceptably long period of time or is impossible at all. The scientific novelty of this direction is expressed in the development of a methodology for constructing a modular modeling system of quantum computing with an open architecture, as well as a modeling system for executing quantum algorithms. The aim of the work is to consider techniques for modeling quantum computations and implementing algorithms for solving NP class problems.
