The interpretation of quantum mechanics on the basis of independence from the background

Abstract

In this paper we consider the interpretation of quantum mechanics on the basis of independence from the background. Spin and tensor networks provide a clear geometric interpretation of quantum entanglement. Also the energy of the particles treated as elements of the spin volume.

Towards a new interpretation of quantum mechanics?

André Julg, Pierre Julg

Abstract Quantum mechanics is a remarkable formalism for studying problems in the microscopic domain, and nobody has reasonably contested its power. Nevertheless, in spite of the many interpretations which have been proposed, its true meaning is far from being clear. The aim of this preliminary paper is to show that it is possible to conceive within a classical framework an interpretation of quantum mechanics and to make its limits of validity precise.

The_Geometry_of_information_How_Reality_Emerges_from_Quantum_Choice

Nesterenko, Vladimir

Background: This paper expands the "Information-Geometric Structure of Reality" framework, bridging fundamental physics and the cognitive aspects of perception. Spacetime is treated as an emergent property of a static 4D block universe (the Everettian Multiverse), where the subjective arrow of time arises from memory and prediction dynamics within the observer's cognitive system. Methods: Expanding upon the author's previous work on the informational and geometric interpretation of radioactive decay (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.17137287), this research synthesizes Loop Quantum Gravity, Superstring Theory, and the Many-Worlds Interpretation to introduce a quantum resonance mechanism between spin network nodes and vibrational string modes. Results: The problem of free will is resolved not as a violation of determinism, but as a structural selector of consciousness states within Hilbert space. Utilizing quantum Darwinism and the free energy principle, it is shown that high cognitive coherence naturally aligns the observer’s trajectory with thermodynamically stable branches of the Multiverse. Conclusions: Consciousness operates as a fundamental informational pattern independent of its biological substrate, serving as a primary driver within the cosmic structure.

The non-individuals interpretation of Quantum Mechanics

Décio Krause, Jonas R. Becker Arenhart, Otávio Bueno

The non-individuals interpretation of quantum mechanics is presented with the aim of clarifying it and highflying some of its salient features. Alternative formulations of it are proposed and examined.

The interpretation of quantum mechanics through1935

James T. Cushing

Abstract I first define what I mean by the term ‘interpretation’, then trace some of the major developments in attempts to fashion an interpretation of quantum mechanics from its early mathematical formulation ( ca . 1925) up through the Einstein‐Podolsky‐Rosen paper, Bohr's response to it, and Schrödinger's insights on entanglement, in 1935. In the process, I question some of the conventional wisdom about how a unified interpretation emerged.

Hand-waving and interpretive dance: an introductory course on tensor networks

Jacob C. Bridgeman, Christopher T. Chubb

The curse of dimensionality associated with the Hilbert space of spin systems provides a significant obstruction to the study of condensed matter systems. Tensor networks have proven an important tool in attempting to overcome this difficulty in both the numerical and analytic regimes. These notes form the basis for a seven lecture course, introducing the basics of a range of common tensor networks and algorithms. In particular, we cover: introductory tensor network notation, applications to quantum information, basic properties of matrix product states, a classification of quantum phases using tensor networks, algorithms for finding matrix product states, basic properties of projected entangled pair states, and multiscale entanglement renormalisation ansatz states. The lectures are intended to be generally accessible, although the relevance of many of the examples may be lost on students without a background in many-body physics/quantum information. For each lecture, several problems are given, with worked solutions in an ancillary file.
