The industrial wireless sensor network (IWSN) is a surface-type of wireless sensor network (WSN) that suffers from high levels of security breaches and energy consumption. In modern complex industrial plants, it is essential to maintain the security, energy efficiency, and green sustainability of the network. In an IWSN, sensors are connected to the Internet in a non-monitored environment. Hence, non-authorized sensors can retrieve information from the IWSN. Therefore, to ensure that data access between sensors remains sustainable and secure, energy-efficient authentication and authorization are required. In this article, a novel Quantum Readout Gradient Secured Deep Learning (QR-GSDL) model is proposed to ensure that only trustworthy sensors can access IWSN data. The major objective of this QR-GSDL model is to create secure, energy-efficient IWSN to attain green sustainability and reduce the industrial impact on the environment. First, using the quantum readout and hash function, a registration method is designed to efficiently perform the registration process. Next, a gradient secured deep learning method is adopted to implement the authentication and authorization process in order to ensure energy-saving and secure data access. Simulations are conducted to evaluate the QR-GSDL model and compare its performance with that of three well-known models: online threshold anomaly detection, machine learning-based anomaly detection, and dynamic CNN. The simulation outcomes show that the proposed model is secure and energy-efficient for use in the IWSN. Moreover, the experimental results prove that the QR-SGDL model outperforms the existing models in terms of energy consumption, authentication rate, authentication time, and false acceptance rate.

Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are the foundation for Internet of Things (IoT) applications, facilitating paramount applications in smart cities, industrial automation, and healthcare. WSNs in dynamic resource-constrained environments, nevertheless, continue to lag in energy efficiency, adaptability, and security. In this paper, we present a new architecture that combines Federated Reinforcement Learning (FRL) and Distributed Quantum Cryptography (DQC) to break through these constraints. FRL module endows sensor nodes with decentralized, privacy-preserving intelligence for adaptive energy consumption control, routing, and transmission power control. DQC module uses Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) for securing communications against classical and quantum eavesdroppers. The FRL-DQC solution is extensively verified by large-scale simulations under diverse network topologies, traffic models, and threat scenarios. Experimental results are accompanied by significant gains in energy efficiency, communication delay, and quantum-resistant security over traditional WSNs and centralized learning. As an open and dynamic solution, the FRL-DQC solution facilitates the deployment of secure, energy-efficient, and future-proof WSN infrastructures with the ability to provide resilient performance in dynamic and smart environments.
Wireless Sensor Network (WSN)-assisted Internet of Things (IoT) systems have revolutionized modern healthcare by enabling real-time medical image acquisition, transmission, and remote diagnostics. However, these systems face critical challenges such as limited energy resources, bandwidth constraints, and degradation of image quality during transmission and processing. Ensuring energy-efficient computation while preserving diagnostic image quality is therefore essential for reliable medical decision-making. Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven approaches, particularly Quantum Convolutional Neural Networks (QCNNs) integrated with attention-based models, have emerged as promising solutions to address these challenges. Quantum Convolutional Neural Networks leverage principles of quantum computing such as superposition and entanglement to process high-dimensional data more efficiently than classical convolutional neural networks. QCNN architectures can significantly reduce model parameters and computational complexity while maintaining high accuracy, making them suitable for resource-constrained WSN environments. Studies indicate that QCNNs can outperform classical CNNs in terms of efficiency and scalability, especially in complex image classification tasks. Additionally, hybrid quantum-classical models further enhance performance by combining classical feature extraction with quantum optimization capabilities. Attention-based models play a vital role in improving medical image diagnostics by focusing on relevant regions of interest and suppressing noise. Deep learning techniques, particularly CNN-based models, have demonstrated superior performance in medical image understanding tasks such as classification, segmentation, and detection. Attention mechanisms enhance these capabilities by improving feature representation and preserving critical diagnostic information, thereby improving overall image quality.

Smart agriculture has emerged as a transformative approach to enhance crop productivity, resource efficiency, and environmental sustainability using advanced sensing and computational technologies. Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) enable real-time monitoring of agricultural parameters such as soil moisture, temperature, humidity, and crop health. However, traditional machine learning models struggle to efficiently process high-dimensional, noisy, and heterogeneous agricultural sensor data. The framework is suitable for precision agriculture, automated irrigation systems, and smart farming applications.
Energy-efficient healthcare systems are becoming increasingly critical for Industry 5.0 as the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) expands, particularly with the integration of 5G technology. 5G-enabled IoMT systems allow real-time data collection, high-speed communication, and enhanced connectivity between medical devices and healthcare providers. However, these systems face energy consumption and data security challenges, especially with the growing number of connected devices operating in Industry 5.0 environments with limited power resources. Quantum computing integrated with machine learning (ML) algorithms, forming quantum machine learning (QML), offers exponential improvements in computational speed and efficiency through principles such as superposition and entanglement. In this paper, we propose and evaluate three QML algorithms, which are UU, variational UU, and UU-quantum neural networks (QNN) for classifying data from four different datasets: 5G-South Asia, Lumos5G 1.0, WUSTL EHMS 2020, and PS-IoT. Our comparative analysis, using various evaluation metrics, reveals that the UU-QNN method not only outperforms the other algorithms in the 5G-South Asia and WUSTL EHMS 2020 datasets, achieving 100% accuracy, but also aligns with the human-centric goals of Industry 5.0 by allowing more efficient and secure healthcare data processing. Furthermore, the robustness of the proposed quantum algorithms is verified against several noisy channels by analyzing accuracy variations in response to each noise model parameter, which contributes to the resilience aspect of Industry 5.0. These results offer promising quantum solutions for 5G-enabled IoMT healthcare systems by optimizing data classification and reducing power consumption while maintaining high levels of security even in noisy environments.
