Controller independent controlled bidirectional quantum secure direct communication

Ying Chen, Xiangfu Zou, Xin Wang +6 more

Abstract Controlled bidirectional quantum secure direct communication (CBQSDC) is an important research direction in quantum secure direct communication. It can enable two legitimate users to confidentially exchange secret messages only with the permission of the controller. In many practical scenarios, CBQSDC needs to avoid the controller from obtaining useful information on the secret messages. Therefore, in this paper, we introduce the concept of controller independent controlled bidirectional quantum secure direct communication (CICBQSDC) that has a controller to control the communication but restricts the controller to obtain useful information on the secret messages. In other words, we only require the controller of CICBQSDC to cooperate, not to be trusted. In addition, a novel CICBQSDC protocol is constructed. To make CICBQSDC protocols have broad application scenarios, we point out that they need to avoid four security problems: the information leakage problem, the problem of violating simultaneity, the problem of communication not being controlled, and the problem of controllers stealing secret information. Furthermore, we show that the constructed CICBQSDC protocol can avoid the four security problems. Moreover, the unconditional security of the constructed CICBQSDC protocol is demonstrated in the asymptotic scenario.

Multiparty-controlled quantum secure direct communication

Xiao‐Ming Xiu, Li Dong, Yajun Gao +1 more

A theoretical scheme of a multiparty-controlled quantum secure direct communication is proposed. The supervisor prepares a communication network with Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen pairs and auxiliary particles. After passing a security test of the communication network, a supervisor tells the users the network is secure and they can communicate. If the controllers allow the communicators to communicate, the controllers should perform measurements and inform the communicators of the outcomes. The communicators then begin to communicate after they perform a security test of the quantum channel and verify that it is secure. The recipient can decrypt the secret message in a classical message from the sender depending on the protocol. Any two users in the network can communicate through the above processes under the control of the supervisor and the controllers.

A new controlled quantum secure direct communication protocol based on a four-qubit cluster state

Meiling Wang, Wenping Ma, Dongsu Shen +1 more

A new controlled quantum secure direct communication (CQSDC) protocol is presented by using a four-particle cluster state as quantum channel and the physical characteristics of controlled quantum teleportation to implement the transmission and the control. In this scheme, the receiver can receive the secret message from the sender and recover the secret message under the permission of the controller. According to the security analysis, the communication is secure against both participant and outside attacks, so this CQSDC protocol is secure and feasible.
