Abstract

One introduces the phase state as a nonlinear coherent state. Some of its properties, such as the sub-Poissonian statistics, the squeezing effects, the phase properties in the Pegg-Barnett formalism and the quasiprobability function of the nonlinear coherent states, are calculated and discussed in this paper. The results show that the phase states are squeezed.

Phase distribution of nonlinear coherent states

Barnana Roy, P Roy

Using the Pegg-Barnett formalism we study phase properties of nonlinear coherent states. We compute the Pegg-Barnett phase probability distribution of nonlinear coherent states and compare it with phase distributions associated with the Q function and the Wigner function. Squeezing properties of nonlinear coherent states with respect to the number and the phase operator are also studied.

Nonclassical Properties of a Class of Nonlinear Pair Coherent State

H. H. Salah

In the present work a class of nonlinear pair coherent state introduced depending on the form of the nonlinearity function with examining some of its nonclassical properties. In particular, it is shown that such state exhibits nonclassical properties such as squeezing and sub-Poissonian behaviour. Also, the quasiprobability distribution functions (Wigner-function, Q-function) are discussed. Finally, the phase properties in Pegg-Barnett formalism is considered.

Nonclassical properties such as the autocorrelation function, quadrature and amplitude-squared squeezing, the phase properties in the Pegg–Barnett formalism, the Husimi–Kano Q function and the Wigner–Moyal ( W ) function of a wider class of nonlinear coherent states, are calculated and discussed in this paper.

Squeezing Properties of Measured Phase Operator in a New Kind of Nonlinear Coherent State

Chao Dong

The squeezing properties in a new kind of nonlinear coherent states are discussed via the measured phase operators introduced by Barnett and Pegg. The conditions of squeezing are found and the relations between the squeezing and the coherent parameters are shown by numerical calculation.

Phase properties of a new nonlinear coherent state

B Roy, P Roy

We study phase properties of a displacement operator type nonlinear coherent state. In particular we evaluate the Pegg-Barnett phase distribution and compare it with phase distributions associated with the Husimi Q function and the Wigner function. We also examine number-phase squeezing of this state.
