YANG–BAXTER EQUATION, MAJORANA FERMIONS AND THREE BODY ENTANGLING STATES

Mo‐Lin Ge, Li-Wei Yu, Kang Xue +1 more

In this paper, we review some results obtained in our works with extension. The new type of braiding matrices called type-II has been extended to the solutions of Yang–Baxter equations (YBE). It is related to quantum entangling states. The four-dimensional realization is connected with Majorana fermions and the two-dimensional realization for the topological basis is the wigner DJ-function with J = 1/2. The YBE leads to the conclusion that the additivity rule of velocities for two anyons obeys Lorentz rather than Galilean. The discussion is extended to three body S-matrix formed by three two-body S-matrices. The three-qubit entanglement based on two-qubit entanglements is discussed.

INTERACTING MULTI-COMPONENT FERMIONS AND THE YANG-BAXTER EQUATION: FUTURE PROSPECTS

Murray T. Batchelor

The remarkable exact solution of 1D interacting fermions heralded a new era in the study of quantum many-body problems. The mathematical structure of the underlying Yang-Baxter equation led to profound advances in other fields. Recently there has been a significant revival of interest in 1D quantum many-body problems due to the striking and ongoing experimental developments in the study of cold quantum matter. In particular, through the trapping and cooling of interacting systems of atomic bosons and fermions in low dimensions. There is, e.g., already rather spectacular agreement between theory and experiment for 1D interacting bosons. This includes an experimental test of Yang-Yang thermodynamics for bosons on a chip...
