The issue of retrodiction in Bohm's theory: Y. Aharonov and D. Albert

Basil J. Hiley, F. David Peat

Bohm's pathbreaking hidden variable theory of 1952 1 is often accused of artificiality and inelegance, and doubtless it is guilty of both. But to make such accusations, and to leave it at that, is to entirely miss the point. What Bohm was after in his theory was not elegance and not naturalness; Bohm's intentions were simply to produce a theory which, whatever its other characteristics, had logically clear foundations. It is for that clarity which Bohm's theory is highly and rightly praised.

ボーム理論の現代的形式とその世界観について

森川, 亮

Abstract: In this paper the criticism to the Bohm's quantum theory has been discussed in the beginning. Then a formalism change of this theory from its original form to recent one is shown. The differences between the normal Copenhagen interpretation and that of Bohm's quantum theory are possible to be seen. Bohm's new idea and new terms such as implicate and explicate order, process, unfold and enfold are discussed to give an interpretation to the theory. This is also able to show that Bohm theory requests the radical change about our world-picture. Key words; Bohm theory, The implicate & explicate order, Quantum potential and Information.

AN ALTERNATIVE THEORY FOR THE BOHMIAN MECHANICS

MohammadJavad Kazemi, Mohammad Hosein Barati, Meysam Mashhadi

In this article, a causal model on the basis of trajectory is introduced for description of quantum systems. This theory is structurally very similar to Bohme mechanics, and like Bohme theory reproduces all statistical consequences of standard quantum mechanics. Particle trajectories in this model are different from anticipated ones by Bohme model. Quantum potential (force) form, which is given, is different from Bohme theory. Actually, this model will convert to Bohme theory by annihilating the free parameter ( μ ). Theoretical properties of this model are investigated in the same way as Galilean invariance. Also, a precise comparison between this theory and Bohme mechanics is made, and some suggestions are presented (through transit time distribution) for experimental distinction between these two models. Finally, extension of this theory is investigated
