Abstract

The important applications of quantum dot system are to implement logic operations and achieve universal quantum computing based on different quantum nonlocalities. Here, we characterize the quantum steering, Bell nonlocality, and nonlocal advantage of quantum coherence (NAQC) of quantum dot system suffering nonunital and unital channels. The results reveal that quantum steering, Bell nonlocality, and NAQC can display the traits of dissipation, enhancement, and freezing. One can achieve the detections of quantum steering, Bell nonlocality, and NAQC of quantum dot system in different situations. Among these quantum nonlocalities, NAQC is the most fragile, and it is most easily influenced by different system parameters. Furthermore, considering quantum dot system coupling with amplitude damping channel and phase damping channel, these quantum nonlocalities degenerate with the enlargement of the channel parameters t and Γ. Remarkably, measurement reversal can effectively control and enhance quantum steering, Bell nonlocality, and NAQC of quantum dot system suffering from decoherence, especially in the scenarios of the amplitude damping channel and strong operation strength.

Witnessing quantum steering and nonlocal advantage of quantum coherence via quantum steering ellipsoid

Huan 欢 Yang 杨, Ling-Ling Xing, Zong Xue Xu +1 more

Abstract An arbitrary bipartite state can be visually characterized through a quantum steering ellipsoid (QSE), and different nonclassical correlations can be visually revealed via the geometric traits of the QSE. Here, we characterize the QSE of bipartite Bell diagonal states subject to the influences of the bit flip (BF), the depolarizing (DP), and the phase damping (PD) channels, and ascertain the influences of various noise channels on the QSE. By employing nonlinear asymmetric quantum steering criterion (NAC), linear asymmetric quantum steering criterion (LAC), quantum steering criterion from the entropic uncertainty relation (SCEUR), and the shape of the QSE, we reveal and witness the quantum steering and the nonlocal advantage of quantum coherence (NAQC) of the system under these noise channels. It turns out that noise channels can significantly affect the shape of the QSE, one can effectively capture quantum steering and the NAQC via the QSE. Among the NAC, LAC, and SCEUR, the LAC (the NAC) is the most promising avenue for detecting the quantum steering under the DP and PD channels (under the the BF channels). It is particularly important to note that the shape of the QSE can visually display the abilities of these criteria in witnessing quantum steering. Moreover, based on the ${l_1}$ norm of coherence, the NAQC can be achieved under the BF, DP, and PD channels if the sum of three semiaxis lengths of the QSE can surpass $\sqrt 6 $.

Quantum steering and nonlocal advantage of quantum coherence in non-Markovian environment

Su-Wan Tu, De-Feng Liu, Cheng‐Cheng Liu +3 more

In the field of quantum information science, quantum steering (QS) and nonlocal advantage of quantum coherence (NAQC) are the core quantum resources, while their practical applications are often limited by the decoherence effect caused by environmental noise in open quantum systems. In this study, we explore the dynamic characteristics of QS and NAQC in non-Markovian environment. It is shown that both QS and NAQC exhibit oscillatory revival, and the amplitude is positively correlated with the purity of the initial state. It is worth mentioning that QS shows greater robustness during recovery, while NAQC decays more significantly under the same conditions. Furthermore, we propose a quantum control strategy based on weak measurement operation and demonstrate that this operation effectively suppresses the decoherence of QS and NAQC in non-Markovian environment.

Skew information-based nonlocal advantage of quantum coherence in amplitude damping channels

Lei-Xin Dong, Hao Yuan, Zhe Xu +2 more

Abstract We study the dynamics of skew information (SI)-based nonlocal advantage of quantum coherence (NAQC) in amplitude damping channels. For Bell states used as initial states, it is shown that the dynamics of SI-based NAQC is very similar, namely, it decreases monotonically and exists in finite time. To enhance SI-based NAQC for further applications, weak measurements and quantum measurement reversals (QMRs) are jointly performed for the initial Bell states | ϕ ± ⟩ = ( | 00 ⟩ ± | 11 ⟩ ) / 2 . While for the initial Bell states | φ ± ⟩ = ( | 01 ⟩ ± | 10 ⟩ ) / 2 , SI-based NAQC can be remarkably enhanced only by QMRs. Finally, an all-optical experimental proposal is presented, and the experimental feasibility is also analyzed.

Recovering nonlocal advantage of quantum coherence by weak measurement reversal

Guanghao Xue, Liang Qiu

Abstract We consider the scheme to recover nonlocal advantage of quantum coherence (NAQC) for two-qutrit system which suffer from the amplitude damping noises by using weak measurement reversal. The scope of the decay rate of the noise to achieve NAQC can be obviously extended after the application of weak measurement reversal, i.e. NAQC can be recovered in the region that there is no NAQC. The physical reason for the recovery may be attributed to the probabilistic nature of the scheme as well as the shrinking of the range for the state parameter to achieve NAQC.

Hierarchy of the nonlocal advantage of quantum coherence and Bell nonlocality

Ming‐Liang Hu, Xiaomin Wang, Heng Fan

Quantum coherence and nonlocality capture the nature of quantumness from different aspects. For the two-qubit states with a diagonal correlation matrix, we prove strictly a hierarchy between the nonlocal advantage of quantum coherence (NAQC) and Bell nonlocality by showing geometrically that the NAQC created on one qubit by local measurement on another qubit captures quantum correlation which is stronger than Bell nonlocality. For general states, our numerical results present strong evidence that this hierarchy may still hold. So the NAQC states form a subset of the states that can exhibit Bell nonlocality. We further propose a measure of NAQC that can be used for a quantitative study of it in bipartite states.

Nonlocal advantage of quantum coherence in a double-quantum-dot system

Xiu-Qin Wei, Cui-Yuan Yang, Zhao Zhang +1 more

Abstract Nonlocal advantage of quantum coherence (NAQC) characterizes the nonlocal property of a bipartite system. We investigate NAQC in the thermal state of a double-quantum-dot system for which there are adjustable parameters such as the interdot energy detuning, the tunneling coupling, and the externally applied transverse and longitudinal magnetic fields. We identified the parameter regions in which NAQC exists for different cases, and showed that a small interdot energy detuning, a moderate tunneling coupling, and finite but not very strong transverse and longitudinal magnetic fields are beneficial for generating NAQC in this system.
