Abstract

We explore the non-local correlation dynamics in a Graphene sheet of disordered electrons in a two-dimensional honeycomb lattice, containing two sublattices, induced by the interaction range of impurity potentials of two Dirac points. The Bell function, uncertainty-induced non-locality, and concurrence are used to investigate the formation and robustness of the non-local correlation between the honeycomb lattice and the Dirac point. The generated lattice-point non-local correlations are explored when the lattice-point system is initially in the uncorrelated state. Due to the lattice-point interaction, the resulting Bell-function non-locality and entanglement concurrence satisfy the hierarchy principle. The generated uncertainty-induced non-locality correlation has a higher degree of stability and robustness than the Bell non-locality and concurrence. We analyze the robustness of the initial maximal non-local correlations under the effects of the band parameter, the intravalley scattering processes, the wave numbers, and the intrinsic decoherence. The formation and stability of lattice-point correlations are highly dependent on the honeycomb lattice and Dirac point characteristics.

Effects of intrinsic decoherence on quantum coherence and correlations between spins within a two-dimensional honeycomb lattice graphene layer system

Zakaria Bouafia, Samira Elghaayda, Mostafa Mansour

This research delves into the influence of intrinsic decoherence on the behavior of quantum correlations and coherence between two interacting qubits in a graphene-based system. To evaluate the amount of nonclassical correlations in the system, we employ local quantum uncertainty (LQU), and to assess quantum coherence we use the relative entropy of coherence [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text]-norm [Formula: see text]. We assume that the system is initially prepared in an extended-Werner-like (EWL) state, and we investigate how these quantifiers evolve over time and examine their sensitivity to various graphene layer system parameters, mixture parameter of the initial state and the intrinsic decoherence rate. Our results indicate that by adjusting the wave number operators, decreasing the intrinsic decoherence rate, and increasing the initial state mixing parameter, it is possible to enhance both quantum correlations and coherence within the two-dimensional honeycomb lattice system. In addition, we found that quantum coherence is more resilient to intrinsic decoherence than LQU, moreover, the [Formula: see text]-norm is more robust than the relative entropy of coherence.

Dynamics of quantum-memory assisted entropic uncertainty and entanglement in two-dimensional graphene

We explore the quantum-memory assisted entropic uncertainty (QMA-EU), Jensen-Shannon coherence and entanglement dynamics in a Graphene sheet of disordered electrons in the presence of the intrinsic decoherence. The Graphene sheet containing two sublattices in a two-dimensional honeycomb lattice, which results due to the impurity-potentials interaction of two Dirac points. Entropic uncertainty and logarithmic negativity are used to investigate the generation and preservation of QMA-EU and entanglement under the major factors of Graphene material, including the band structure parameter, the wave numbers as well as the decoherence effect. For the initial uncorrelated two-lattice-point-qubit state, it is found that the lattice-point interactions have high capacity to generated partially/maximally two-lattice-point-qubit entangled and hence the partial/perfect Bob’s ability to guessing the outcome of Alice’s measurement. The increase of the graphite band structure parameter, the wave numbers enhance the generated lattice-point entanglement and Jensen-Shannon coherence, and hence the quantum memory game has a high prediction accuracy. For the intrinsic decoherence, the ability to generate entanglement, Jensen-Shannon coherence. and guessing the Alice’s measurement outcomes weakens. The sudden death-birth phenomenon in the logarithmic-negativity dynamics appears. The increase of the graphite band structure parameter weakens the robustness dynamics against the decoherence effect, while the increase of the wave number operators enhances this robustness. For initial maximally correlated state, the robustness dynamics of the QMA-EU, Jensen-Shannon coherence, and logarithmic-negativity entanglement is very sensitive to the increase of the band structure, wave numbers, and intrinsic decoherence.

Investigation of the Bosonic Spectrum of Two-Dimensional Optical Graphene-Type Lattices. Normal Phase

Ihor V. Stasyuk, I. R. Dulepa, O. V. Velychko

The band spectrum of bosonic atoms in two-dimensional honeycomb optical lattices with the graphene-type structure has been studied. The dispersion laws in the bands and the one-particle spectral densities are calculated for the normal phase in the random phase approximation. The temperature-dependent gapless spectrum with Dirac points located at the Brillouin zone boundary is obtained for the lattice with energetically equivalent sites, with the corresponding chemical potential lying outside the allowed energy band. Different on-site energies in the sublattices are shown to induce the appearance of a gap in the spectrum, so that the chemical potential can be located between the subbands, which gives rise to a substantial reconstruction of the band spectrum. The frequency dependences of the one-particle spectral density for both sublattices are determined as functions of the chemical potential level, the spectral gap magnitude, and the temperature.

Dynamics of Quantum Correlations in Coupled Double Quantum Dots with Intrinsic Decoherence

Abdel‐Haleem Abdel‐Aty, Tahani A. Alrebdi, Fatemah Homoud Alkallas +1 more

This work explores the generation and robustness dynamics of coupled double quantum dots using uncertainty-induced (UI) nonlocality, maximum Bell-CHSH inequality, and log-negativity with intrinsic-decoherence. This study examines the generation of Bell-CHSH nonlocality, UI-nonlocality, and log-negativity entanglement using a separable two-double-quantum-dots state. Enhancing these features is achieved by tuning intrinsic decoherence and dot interaction strengths, highlighting their potential for creating robust quantum correlations. The two-double-quantum-dots correlated states can be produced and enhanced by increasing the pair-dots tunneling couplings and Coulomb-two-electrons interactions. The decoherence effect acceleration depends on Coulomb-two-electrons interactions and the pair-dots tunneling coupling. For a maximally entangled state, the robustness dynamics of the initial maximal Bell-CHSH-nonlocality, UI-nonlocality, and log-negativity’s entanglement, is explored against the two-double-quantum-dots interactions and the decoherence effects.

Coherence and Non-classical Correlations within a Graphene Layer System Subjected to Intrinsic Decoherence

Zakaria Bouafia, Mostafa Mansour

Abstract This study explores the dynamic evolution of non-classical correlations and coherence within a two-dimensional graphene layer, examining its vulnerability to intrinsic decoherence. We use local quantum uncertainty (LQU) to quantify the level of quantum correlations, while assessing quantum coherence using the $$l_1$$ l 1 -norm ( $$C_{l_1}$$ C l 1 ) and relative entropy of coherence ( $$C_r$$ C r ). We investigate how these quantum estimators respond to various parameters of the graphene system, including wavenumber operators, the initial-state mixing parameter, and intrinsic decoherence factor. Our results demonstrate that adjusting the wavenumber operators, increasing the purity parameter, and reducing the intrinsic decoherence rate can enhance both quantum coherence and correlations in the graphene layer system. Furthermore, we observe that $$C_{l_1}$$ C l 1 and $$C_{r}$$ C r exhibit greater resilience to intrinsic decoherence compared to LQU.

Matter waves in atomic artificial graphene

Nicola Bartolo, Mauro Antezza

We present a new model to realize artificial 2D lattices with cold atoms investigating the atomic artificial graphene: a 2D confined matter wave is scattered by atoms of a second species trapped around the nodes of a honeycomb optical lattice. The system allows an exact determination of the Green function, hence of the transport properties. The inter-species interaction can be tuned via the interplay between scattering length and confinements. Band structure and density of states of a periodic lattice are derived for different values of the interaction strength. Emergence and features of Dirac cones are pointed out, together with the appearance of multiple gaps and a non-dispersive and isolated flat band. Robustness against finite-size and vacancies effects is numerically investigated.
