Abstract

Quantum Computing is an emerging technology. Quantum Computer will mainly focus on the principles of quantum theory. We design some major data processing circuits like encoder and decoder i.e.,$16\times 4$encoder and$4\times 16$decoder using decimal to binary conversion method and vice versa. Where an encoder is used to encode an incoming signal into an encoded value. A decoder is used in conjugation with the encoder to the decoder, the encoded signals, and recover the original signal. For all the given possible inputs we got probability=1.

Designing quantum circuits for decoding binary linear codes

Hyungkee Yoo, Whan-Hyuk Choi, Yoonjin Lee

Abstract In the coding theory, it is one of the most important research problems to find an efficient algorithm for the decoding process. A quantum computer is an innovative computing device that performs calculations using the principles of quantum mechanics. In this paper, we find a decoding algorithm for binary linear codes using quantum circuits; this is the first time that quantum circuits are used as a main tool for decoding binary linear codes. Our decoding algorithm is mainly based on Grover’s search algorithm. In detail, we study the process of implementing the exhaustive search using quantum circuits for decoding binary linear codes. For our purpose, we design a modified Grover’s algorithm (algorithm 1) using three tools: the matrix multiplier, the Hamming weight counter, and the state indicator. We present algorithm 2, which is a quantum decoding algorithm for binary linear codes. We illustrate algorithm 1 using the [7, 4, 3] Hamming code, and algorithm 2 is implemented by IBM Quantum Composer.

From Qubits To Bits Logic Conversion For Mixed Circuits Design

Faten Ouaja Rziga, Kamel Besbes

Quantum mechanics is the revolution in thinking of the 20th century and will be the revolution in various applications in the 21st century. The world's powers-that-be each have their own particular or common quantum plans to access these new technologies. Indeed, emerging quantum computing technologies are poised to replace classical binary logic. The development of new integrated operators, on subatomic circuits, will benefit from an exponential reduction in size, power consumption and fantastic computing capacity. Indeed, the quantum circuit is proving day by day a very high level of numerical computation disrupting communication, encryption and modelling algorithms. However, what about the reversibility of quantum operators in order to adapt them to our already widely used classical computers?Current design flows will be challenged at various levels both in terms of computer-aided design (CAD) methods and in all major aspects of quantum computing circuit design, including logic synthesis, simulation, verification and testing. On the other hand, quantum technology remains dependent on access to integrated photonics and probably on the integration of algorithms in hyper-flexible photon electron hardware. Our paper intends to present the possibility of designing classical operators based on quantum operators in order to explain and explore the mixed Qbit-Bit Using the IBM simulator, to analyse their functions, to design new electronic functions and to implement them in quantum circuits.

A Novel Design of Quantum 3:8 Decoder Circuit using Reversible Logic for Improvement in Key Quantum Circuit Design Parameters

Seyyed Mohammad Amir Mirizadeh, Mohammad Mahdi Emadi Kouchak, Mohammad Mehdi Panahi

quantum computing is the emerging technology in the new era and is very promising, not only quantum computers substantially accelerate what classical computers are able to do nowadays but they are also capable of providing answers that classical computers never could. Using reversible logic in designing quantum circuits has many advantages such as lowering power consumption, reducing heat dissemination, and decreasing quantum cost, ancilla inputs, and garbage outputs that lead to even higher performance in quantum computers. Decoders have many utilizations in digital circuits any function in form of SOP or POS can be implemented using decoders, counters, and ROMs have also used decoder modules in their designs in this article two novel designs for 2:4 and 3:8 decoder have been proposed that has been proved to have less quantum cost, unused outputs, and ancilla inputs when it comes to comparison with recent researches that have been done concerning this field.

Gudipati Nikhil, Balkonda Sharanya, P. Bharath Reddy +1 more

The technologies like quantum computing, Nanotechnology is emerging due to the greater research in reversible logic. It has the power reduction capability the same mechanism is also having in the quantum computing. Designing a quantum circuit among various combinational circuits the decoder has capability to change binary information of input lines to distinct output lines and also there are many applications where decoder is the main basic component. In this paper a comprehensive introduction of basic gates used to design n to 2nUniversal Quantum decoder, here n represents the no of inputs are mentioned. The proposed 2:4 decoder circuit is designed using a universal reversible Fredkin gates and Feynman gate. The proposed work is simulated using IBM Quantum Composer. In comparison to existing quantum decoders the proposed decoder design has optimum values in all the parameters considered.

Design and analysis of a novel reversible encoder/decoder

Michael Nachtigal, Nagarajan Ranganathan

Reversible computation differs from traditional computation in that it preserves information while manipulating it. This new design paradigm has very attractive thermodynamic consequences and holds many applications in current and emerging technologies. Modern computers can reduce power consumption by taking advantage of reversibility, and quantum computers operate reversibly. Researchers have already proposed reversible designs of many common arithmetic and logical units, including adders, multipliers, shifters, and even registers. Very little focused work has been done specifically on reversible encoder/decoder design. In this paper we propose a novel reversible encoder/decoder design and analyze it in terms of its quantum cost, garbage outputs, constant inputs, and quantum delay.

Reducing Quantum Cost for Reversible Realization of Densely-packed-decimal Converters

Sheba Diamond Thabah, Prabir Saha

At present, the reduction of circuit design power is a prime research topic. The reversible computation satisfies the criteria of the power consumption reduction compared to the traditional logic design. Thereby, reversible computation is gaining much attention in recent decades. Two reversible design approaches of binary-coded-decimal (BCD) to densely-packed-decimal (DPD) converter (encoder) and two design approaches of DPD to BCD converter (decoder) are proposed in this paper. The designs are carried out through the appropriate selection of the gates and further proper organization of such gates with parallel implementation. The proposed design approaches offer a low quantum cost implementation compared to state-of-the-art design. The cost results analysis of reversible DPD encoder shows appreciable reduction by at least ~23%, and that of decoder by at least ~62% compared to the state-of-art design found in the literature. Furthermore, the structures are decomposed into the primitive-quantum-gates and compressed in compact form for delay calculation
