Abstract

In the coherent thermal state representation we introduce thermal Wigner operator and find that it issqueezed under the thermal transformation. The thermal Wigner operator provides us with a new direct and neatapproach for deriving Wigner functions of thermal states.

The Applications of Coherent State Representation on the Distribution Functions of the Quantum Phase Space

Shuai Wang

By means of the coherent state representation and the IWOP technique, the density matrix of free thermal state can be written as normal product form. And then the Wigner function of free thermal state and the thermal coherent state are reproduced by using the wigner function in coherent state representation. It is found that it is easy to obtain the Wigner function of some quantum states by using the Wigner function defined in terms of the coherent state and the normal product form of operators.

Wigner Function of Thermo-Invariant Coherent State

Xuefen Xu, Zhu Shi-Qun

By using the thermal Winger operator of thermo-field dynamics in the coherent thermal state |ξ) representation and the technique of integration within an ordered product of operators, the Wigner function of the thermo-invariant coherent state |z,ℵ〉 is derived. The nonclassical properties of state |z,ℵ〉 is discussed based on the negativity of the Wigner function.

NEW APPLICATION OF THERMO FIELD DYNAMICS IN SIMPLIFYING THE CALCULATION OF WIGNER FUNCTIONS

Hong-Yi Fan

We find that the Thermo Field Dynamics, invented by Takahashi and Umezawa, can simplify calculations of Wigner functions for density matrices ρ. Using the coherent thermal state representation (Phys. Lett.A246, 242 (1998)), we show that the Wigner function W = Tr (Δρ) (an ensemble average of the Wigner operator Δ) can be expressed as a matrix element of ρ in the pure coherent thermal states. Wigner functions for some complicated density matrices are derived in this way.

Application of Weyl-Wigner Method in Calculating Thermal Averages

Fan Hong-Yi

The Weyl-Wigner correspondence between quantum operators and their classic analogues is employed in calculating thermal averages, which enables one to treat the Wigner function of mixed states on the same footing as that of the thermal vacuum state which plays an essential role in thermodynamics. Both the bosonic and fermionic cases are considered in this work by virtue of the coherent state representation of the Wigner operators.

New Approach for Introducing Wigner Function,Weyl Correspondence and the Coherent State Representation of Wigner Operator

Fan Hong‐Yi

By using the normal ordering form of the coordinate, momentum completeness,we directly and concisely introduce the Wigner operator and then illustrate its relation with the Weyl correspondence. The coherent state representation of the Wigner operator is also neatly derived.
