Abstract

The protection of the entanglement between two V-atoms (EBTVA) in a multi-cavity coupling system is studied. The whole system consists of two V-atoms. The two V-atoms are initially in the maximum entangled state and interacts locally with its own dissipative cavity which is coupled to the external cavities with high quality factor (ECWHQF). The results show that, when there is no ECWHQF, the EBTVA can be protected effectively in the case where the V-atom and the dissipative cavity are weak coupled in large detuning, while when there are different numbers n of ECWHQF coupled to two dissipative cavities, by adjusting the parameters of the number n of ECWHQF and the coupling strength k between cavities, the EBTVA can be protected perfectly and continuously. Our result provides an effective method for protecting entanglement resources of three-level system.

Protection of entanglement between two qubits trapped in coupled cavities via cavity architecture

Abdul Basit, Hamad Ali, Fazal Badshah +3 more

Abstract Harnessing and protecting quantum entanglement from the detrimental effects of local environments is essential for quantum information and computation. With this aim, we present a simple scheme to preserve and control the quantum entanglement. The scheme consists of two coupled single-mode lossy cavities, each containing a qubit, which are in turn connected simultaneously with another two lossy cavities. We examine the protection of entanglement for initially maximal entangled state in both weak and strong coupling regimes. It is found that one can enhance the survival time of the entanglement expeditiously by adjusting the coupling strengths between the relevant cavities and increasing the number of auxiliary cavities. In addition, if the cavities without qubits do not lose photons then after certain damping oscillations the entanglement between two qubits becomes stable. Interestingly, the magnitude of the stable quantum entanglement depends not only on the hopping strengths but also on the number of contributing auxiliary cavities.

Modulating Entanglement Dynamics of Two V-type Atoms in Dissipative Cavity by Detuning, Weak Measurement and Reversal

Fuhua Li, Jia Wang, Hong‐Mei Zou +3 more

In this paper, how to modulate entanglement dynamics of two V-type atoms in dissipative cavity by detuning, weak measurement and weak measurement reversal is studied. The analytical solution of this model is obtained by solving Schrodinger Equation after diagonalizing Hamiltonian of dissipative cavity. It is discussed in detail how the entanglement dynamics is influenced by cavity--environment coupling, spontaneously generated interference (SGI) parameter, detuning between cavity with environment and weak measurement reversal. The results show that the entanglement dynamics of different initial states obviously depends on coupling, SGI parameter, detuning and reversing measurement strength. The stronger coupling, the smaller SGI parameter, the larger detuning and the bigger reversing measurement strength can all not only protect but also generate the entanglement, and the detuning is more effectively in tne strong coupling regime than the weak measurement reversal, which is more effectively than the SGI parameter. We also give corresponding physical interpretations.

Entanglement properties in the system of atoms interacting with three coupled cavities which are in weak coherent states

LU Dao-ming

We study the entanglement dynamics of the system comprising three two-level atoms resonantly interacting with three coupled cavities which are in weak coherent states initially. The atom-atom entanglement and cavity-cavity entanglement are investigated. The influences of coupling constant between cavities and intensity of the cavity field on entanglement properties are discussed. The results obtained using the numerical method show that atom-atom entanglement and cavity-cavity entanglement are both strengthened with the increase of intensity of the cavity field; on the other hand, atom-atom entanglement is weakened and the entanglement between cavity A and cavity B is strengthened with the increase of the coupling constant between cavities, and the entanglement between cavity B and cavity C has a nonlinear relation with the increase of the cavity-cavity coupling coefficient. These results are different from those in the case that cavity field is in vacuum state initially.

Strong-Driving-Assisted Multipartite Entanglement in Cavity QED

E. Solano, G. S. Agarwal, HERBERT WALTHER

We propose a method of generating multipartite entanglement by considering the interaction of a system of N two-level atoms in a cavity of high quality factor with a strong classical driving field. It is shown that, with a judicious choice of the cavity detuning and the applied coherent field detuning, vacuum Rabi coupling produces a large number of important multipartite entangled states. It is even possible to produce entangled states involving different cavity modes. Tuning of parameters also permits us to switch from Jaynes-Cummings to anti-Jaynes-Cummings-like interaction.

Generation of multipartite entangled states by cavity QED

Zhang Ying-Jie, Ren Ting-Qi, Yun‐Jie Xia

We propose the methods of generating multipartite entanglement by considering the interaction of a system of N two-level atoms in M cavities of high quality factor with a strong classical driving field. It is shown that, with the cavity detuning, the applied driving field detuning and vacuum Rabi coupling, we can produce an entangled coherent state in two single-mode cavities and generate the entangled coherent cluster states in two bimodal vacuum cavities. Tuning these parameters also allows us to acquire the anti-Jaynes–Cummings (AJC) interaction, with which we can generate the maximally two-photon entangled states, and the two-atom and the two-photon entangled cluster states.
