Abstract

Based on the maximum entropy principle, we present a density matrix of mesoscopic RLC circuit to make it possible to analyze the connection of the initial condition with temperature. Our results show that the quantum state evolution is closely related to the initial condition, and that the system evolves to generalized coherent state if it is in ground state initially, and evolves to squeezed state if it is in excited state initially.

Thermodynamics of squeezed states in mesoscopic circuits

Yinghua Ji, Haimei Luo, Liu Qing +1 more

Based on the information theory, we present a density matrix to discuss coherent and squeezed states in a mesoscopic LC circuit with time-dependent frequency. With the relevant operators included in the density matrix, a connection between the appearance of coherent and squeezed states is established, i.e., the quantum state evolution of the system is closely related to the initial state. Generally speaking, due to the effect of environment temperature, the mesoscopic LC circuit will evolve to a squeezed state when it initially lies in an excited state. In particular, at a low temperature, step changes of circuit parameters will result in a squeezed minimum uncertainty state if the resonance frequency remains the same after the change.

Time evolution of mesoscopic RLC circuit under a alternating voltage source

Zou Dan

The mesoscopic RLC circuit with a alternationg voltage source was discussed by quantum invariant theory. The mutual-couple energe and the dissipation were also taken into account. The Hamiltonian of the mesoscopic system was derived from Lagrangian function. The wave function of the system will evolve to a squeezed state as time elapses. In conclusion, the state of the system will evolve from a arbitrary initial state to a general squeezed state.

Time evolution of mesoscopic RLC circuit driven by an alternating current source

Qing Liu, Zou Dan, Ji Ying-Hua +1 more

According to the LR invariant theory, the mesoscopic RLC circuit driven by a alternating current source was discussed. The mutual coupling of electron wave functions between the two plates of capacitor and the resistance of the circuit were taken into account. In our conclusion, the quantum states which dominate the dynamic property of the system and the time evolution operator of the mesoscopic circuit were obtained. The wave function of the mesoscopic RLC system will evolve from an arbitrary initial state to a generalized squeezed state.

Quantum dissipation of the density matrix of mesoscopic RLC circuit

Fan Hong‐Yi, He Rui

For the first time, as far as we know, we use the approach of solving the amplitude-decaying master equation of density matrix to study the quantum dissipation of a mesoscopic RLC circuit, and thus find out the attenuation law of circuit energy. We then use the entangled state representation and the technique of integration within an ordered product of operators to explore this problem.
