The discipline of quantum computing, a cutting-edge area at the nexus of computer science and quantum physics, has the potential to revolutionize computation. Quantum computers employ quantum bits, also known as qubits, as opposed to classical computers, which use bits as the lowest unit of information. Utilizing the core concepts of quantum mechanics—superposition and entanglement—these qubits are able to conduct calculations that are not possible for conventional computers. To fully appreciate the possibilities and difficulties of quantum computing, one must comprehend these ideas. Superposition is a fundamental idea in quantum computing. A bit in classical computing can be in one of two states: either 0 or 1. A qubit, on the other hand, is capable of being in both states simultaneously in superposition. The computing capacity of quantum systems is increased exponentially by this capability. For example, a quantum computer offers huge processing parallelism since it can process several possibilities at once, but a classical computer can only process one possible answer at a time. Quantum computing also relies on entanglement. When qubits entangle, their states are directly correlated with one another, independent of their distance from one another. Quantum computers can now do intricate computations at previously unheard-of rates because to this phenomena. Quantum computers can factor enormous numbers, optimize intricate systems, and simulate chemical structures for drug development thanks to entanglement and superposition, which are currently impossible for conventional computers.
Quantum computing is emerging as a revolutionary paradigm in the field of computing, promising an exponential leap in computing power and problemsolving that challenges even the most advanced supercomputers of the classical era.At the heart of this revolution lies the peculiarity of the quantum world, where subatomic particles can exist in multiple states simultaneously, a phenomenon known as superposition, and entangle their states in a way that defies classical logic. It is this capacity for superposition and entanglement that gives quantum computing its disruptive power. One of the most intriguing properties of quantum computing is its ability to process information using Qubits, the quantum analogues of classical bits. While a classical bit can only be in a single 0 or 1 state, a Qubit can simultaneously represent a 0, a 1, or any superposition of these states, allowing multiple calculations to be performed in parallel. This massively parallel processing capability is the basis for the potential superiority of quantum computers over their classical counterparts in a wide range of applications. The architecture of quantum computers is inherently different from classical computers. While the latter use transistors to store and manipulate information in bits, quantum computers use Qubits, which can be implemented in a variety of physical systems, such as atoms, ion traps, photons, superconductors or nuclear magnetic resonance. The manipulation of the Qubits is carried out through quantum gates, fundamental operations that transform the quantum state of the Qubits and allow quantum calculations to be carried out.Furthermore, to maintain quantum coherence, the control and isolation of the quantum system from its environment is crucial, posing significant challenges in terms of designing and building scalable and robust quantum systems.
Abstract: Quantum computing is a modern calculation method that is based on the science of quantum mechanics. These phenomena include the bizarre behavior of particles at the atomic and subatomic levels, and the way that these particles can be in multiple states simultaneously. The field of computer science is a great mix of physics, math, and information theory. This technology provides high computing power, low power consumption, and exponential speed by controlling the behavior of small physical objects, such as atoms. Atoms, electrons, photons, etc. are all elements of the physical world. We would like to introduce the basics of quantum computing, and some of the ideas behind it. This article begins with the origins of the classical computer and discusses all the improvements and transformations that have been made due to its limitations thus far, then moves on to the basic operations of quantum computing and results in quantum properties such as superposition, entanglement, and interference.
Abstract: Quantum computing is a new type of computing that uses the principles of quantum physics to perform calculations in ways that are not possible with traditional computers. Unlike classical computers, which process information using bits that are either 0 or 1, quantum computers use quantum bits (qubits) that can exist in multiple states at the same time. This ability allows quantum systems to solve certain complex problems much faster than classical machines. This paper presents a simple and human-centered explanation of quantum computing, focusing on how it works, why it matters, and how it can be applied in real-world situations. The study discusses key concepts such as superposition, entanglement, and quantum gates using easy-to-understand language. It also explores practical applications including cryptography, optimization, drug discovery, and material simulation. In addition, this paper examines the current challenges in quantum computing, such as hardware instability, error correction, limited qubit scalability, and high implementation cost. A conceptual hybrid classical–quantum system model is proposed to show how quantum and classical computers can work together to solve complex problems more efficiently. The goal of this research is to make quantum computing more understandable to students, educators, and decision-makers, and to encourage early awareness and responsible development of this powerful technology. In the twentieth century, quantum physics is one of the most successful approaches in scientific progress. To theorize the concept of quantum computing Max Planck's idea of the existence of energy in individual units like matter was used. Since then, the idea of manufacturing quantum computers for everyday use is becoming more plausible with technological advances in quantum theory. A classical computer carries out logical operations using a bit which is either 1 or 0. In contrast to a classical computer, a quantum computer works with a quantum bit or qubit, which is not limited to two states only. Qubits can exist in a superposition of the two states creating parallelism. Qubit represents the state of atoms, ions, photons or electrons. These qubits which work together with a control device act as a computer memory.Quantum computers have the potential to become million times more potent than present-day supercomputers due to the presence of these multiple states simultaneously. Concepts and ideas of quantum computing have been demonstrated by different methods like Ion Trap, Quantum Dot methods etc. However, the actual realization of such a superior system is still in the future. A strategy must be formulated to maintain decoherence and other potential sources of error at a permissible level.Astonishingly, quantum computing took a long time to take off, even though the physicists have known about the world of subatomic particles. Even so, it took computer scientists another half-century to consider harnessing quantum effects for computation. Also, it was later discovered that quantum computers could solve quantum mechanical many-body problems that are impractical to solve on a classical computer. The foundations of the subject of quantum computation may have become well-published, but the knowledge is still growing. Hence here is a research paper based on the study of quantum computation.
Quantum computing is a Technology that is frantically growing. It revolutionizes many industries for all different types of things and will solve problems that transpositional computers have not thought of yet. Quantum computing is the marriage of quantum mechanics, computer science, and information theory to process and store data using quantum bits known as qubits. Unlike classical bits, which are bound to exist exclusively in the 0 or 1 state, qubits capitalize on the principle of superposition, allowing them to live in several states simultaneously. This distinction permits quantum computers to simultaneously perform computations on a massive amount of data, substantially improving classical computers’ speed and efficiency. In addition to superposition, another essential characteristic of qubits that contributes to quantum computers' substantial lead over classical computers is entanglement, which allows two or more particles to connect and share information instantaneously, no matter how far apart. This property can improve our communications security and data transfer.
