Abstract

The three-parameter two-mode squeezed number state is proposed by the technique of integration in an ordered product of operators. Its squeezing, antibunching effect and Cauchy-Schwartz inequality are analysed. The conditions under which squeezing or antibunching effect is displayed, are given. The effects of the complex parameter and photon number on squeezing , antibunching effect and Cauchy-Schwartz inequality of the field are discussed. The results indicate that its squeezing, antibunching effect and the degree of violation of Cauchy-Schwartz inequality of two-mode field are all weakened with the increase of photon number; on the other hand, its antibunching effect and the degree of violation of Cauchy-Schwartz inequality of two-mode field are weakened with the increase of the complex parameter modulus, while its squeezing is strengthened with the increase of the complex parameter modulus.

Wu Yan

A new three-mode squeezed vacuum state is proposed by the technique of integration with in an ordered product of operators. Its squeezing, antibunching and Cauchy-Schwartz inequality are analysed. The results indicate that it displays squeezing effect, but it does not play antibunching effect,sub-Poissonian of the field and the violation of Cauchy-Schwartz inequality of two-mode field.

Coherence Properties of Light Field Interacting with Two Different Atoms

Shou Zhang

The coherence properties of light in the system of two different atoms interacting with two-mode squeezing vacuum field were studied. The effect of the relative coupling constant (R=g1/g2) and initial squeezed parameter on the second-order coherence,mode-correlation properties and Cauchu- Achwartz inequality were discussed. The results show that when the initial squeezed parameter is smaller, the phone bunching and antibunching are appearing by turns, and the dgree of mode-correlation property is more stronger. When the initial squeezed parameter is bigger, the photons are appearing bunching and the degree of mode-correlation propertity is weaken. The variation of second-order coherence,mode-correlation properties and Cauchy-Schwartz inequality versus time is affected by the relative coupling constant R,but the relative coupling constant can′t change the non-classical properties of light.

Quantum properties in the system of atom interacting with twomode cavity

LI Rui-q

We consider the system which is composed of a two-level atom and a two-mode cavity, and two modes are coupled in the cavity. The evolution of the state vector of the system is given. The squeezing, antibunching effect and the photon number statistical distribution of two-mode field are investigated.First, through calculating the fluctuations of two quadrature components of the field,we get that a-mode and b-mode of two-mode field do not both display squeezing.Second,by calculating second-order correlation function of two-mode field, the results show that a-mode and b-mode of two-mode field both display antibunching effects, and there is anti-correlation between the two modes.Third,by means of the numerical calculations,we plot evolution curves of Mandel Q function for different values of the coupling constants between two modes.Through comparing these curves, the influence of coupling constant between two modes on the photon number statistical distribution of the field is discussed. The evolution curves of Mandel Q function show that the two-mode cavity field displays sub-Poisson distribution. Moreover, the sub-Poisson distribution is weakened with increasing of the coupling constant between two modes.

By means of numerical calculations, squeezing effect of the field in the system of two-mode entangled coherent states interacting with a Λ-type three-level atom is investigated. The influences of the degree of entanglement of two-mode entangled coherent state optics field and mean photon numbers of two-mode optics field on squeezing effect are discussed. The results show that squeezing effect strengthens with increasing of the the degree of entanglement of two-mode entangled coherent state optics field and weakens with increasing of mean photon numbers of two-mode entangled coherent state optics field.

Quantum properties of a superposition of squeezed displaced two-mode number states

Faisal A. A. El-Orany, A.‐S. F. Obada, Zafer M. Asker +1 more

In this paper, we study some quantum properties of a superposition of displaced squeezed two-mode vacuum and single-photon states, such as the second-order correlation function, the Cauchy-Schwartz inequality, quadrature squeezing, quasiprobability distribution functions and purity. This type of states includes two mechanisms, namely, interference in phase space and entanglement. We show that these states can exhibit sub-Piossonian statistics, squeezing and deviate from the classical Cauchy-Schwartz inequality. Moreover, the amount of entanglement in the system can be increased by increasing the squeezing mechanism. In the framework of the quasiprobability distribution functions we show that the single-mode state can tend to thermal state based on the correlation mechanism. Generation scheme for such states is given.

Two-mode Squeezed Pair Coherent States

Christopher C. Gerry

The properties of states generated by the application of the two-mode squeeze operator to the pair coherent states are studied. These states are the two-mode analogues of the single-mode squeezed states generated by the application of the single-mode squeeze operator to an ordinary coherent state. In the present case there are correlations between the modes and strong non-classical properties are to be expected. We study the statistical properties of the photon number distributions, squeezing, violations of the Cauchy-Schwartz inequality, quasiprobability distributions and the phase distributions.
