Abstract

In this article, author investigated the dynamics of entanglement of two dipole-coupled natural or artificial two-level atoms (qubits) interacting nonresonantly with the intensive one-mode cavity thermal field. Author found an exact solution of the quantum Liouville equation for the full density matrix of the system two atoms + field mode for a coherent initial state of atoms in the dressed states representation. The full system density matrix is used to calculate the two-atom reduced density matrix and to calculate the quantitative criterion for atom-atom entanglement ‒ negativity. The results of computer simulation of the time dependence of negativity showed that in the case of a model with nonresonant interaction, the presence of initial atomic coherence leads to a significant decrease in the maximum degree of atomic entanglement, in contrast to the model with resonant interaction of atoms and a field. For the resonance model, the initial atomic coherence greatly enhances the degree of atomic entanglement.

Thermal entanglement of two atoms with dipole-dipole and Ising interactions

Eugene K. Bashkirov

In this paper, we investigated the entanglement dynamics between two two-level natural or artificial atoms interacting with a thermal one-mode field of lossless cavity taking into account the direct dipole-dipole and Ising coupling. We obtained the exact solution for time-dependent density matrix and calculated atom-atom negativity. The results showed that for dipole-uncoupled atoms and resonant atoms-field interaction the entanglement greatly enhances with Ising coupling increasing. In contrast, for model with non-zero detuning the Ising coupling has almost no effect on the degree of entanglement. We also derived that for resonant interaction and dipole-coupled atoms the anti-Ferromagnetic coupling produces a slightly higher degree of entanglement in comparison with the Ferromagnetic coupling. For entangled initial atomic states we obtained that Ising coupling interaction has effect on entanglement behavior only for a model with large detuning values.

Entanglement of two dipole-coupled qubits interacting with a detuned cavity thermal field

Eugene K. Bashkirov

This paper studies the entanglement properties in a system of two dipole-coupled natural or artificial two-level atoms not-resonantly interacting with an intensive single-mode thermal field for coherent initial atomic states. The results show that the entanglement is weaken due to the initial atomic coherence for model with detuning in contrast to the model with resonant atom-field interaction. For non-dissipative model under consideration the detuning results also in decreasing of the atom-atom entanglement in time for separable initial atomic state and intensive cavity thermal field.

Thermal entanglement in two-atom Tavis–Cummings model with taking into account the dipole-dipole interaction

Background. Interest in the study of entangled states of systems of natural and artificial atoms (qubits) interacting with selected modes of microwave resonators is associated with their use as logic elements of quantum computers. At the same time, the most important task of the physics of quantum computing is the choice of the most effective mechanisms for manipulating and controlling the entangled states of qubits in such devices. Aim. The dynamics of the entanglement of two dipole-coupled superconducting Josephson qubits induced by a thermal noise of a coplanar resonator is studied for various initial states of the qubits. Methods. Based on the exact solution of the quantum Liouville equation for the whole density matrix of the system under consideration, the time behavior of the qubit entanglement parameter (negativity) is found for chaotic thermal, pure separable, and entangled initial states of qubits. Results. It is shown that the entanglement of qubits induced by the thermal noise of the resonator is possible for both the chaotic thermal states and separable states of qubits, except the case when both qubits are excited. It has also been found that, for small values of the dipole–dipole interaction parameter, taking this interaction into account leads to an increase in the degree of entanglement. For values of the dipole-dipole interaction parameter greater than some limit value, the opposite effect takes place. It is found that for entangled initial states of qubits, the inclusion of direct interaction has a small effect on the entanglement dynamics. It is shown that the initial coherence of qubit states can lead to a significant increase in the degree of their entanglement in the presence of a dipole–dipole interaction. Conclusion. The dipole-dipole interaction can be used as an effective mechanism for qubits entanglement manipulation and controlling.

The system consisting of two identical artificial atoms (qubits), resonantly interacting with the mode of quantum field of an ideal microwave cavity in the presence o Abstract The system consisting of two identical artificial atoms (qubits), resonantly interacting with the mode of quantum field of an ideal microwave cavity in the presence of Kerr nonlinearity, is considered. For the considered model, an exact solution of the quantum Liouville equation for the full density matrix of the system two qubits + resonator field mode is obtained. To solve the quantum equation of evolution, the representation of dressed states, that is, the eigenfunctions of the Hamiltonian, was used. A complete set of dressed states of the considered model is found. With its help, the solution of the evolution equation was initially found for coherent initial states of qubits and Fock states of the field, that is, states with a certain number of photons in the resonator mode. Then, the above solution was generalized to the case of the thermal state of the resonator field. A reduced density matrix of two qubits is found by averaging over the field variables. The two-qubit density matrix is used to calculate the parameter of qubit entanglement in the analytical form. Concurrence was chosen as a quantitative criterion for qubit entanglement. A numerical simulation of the time dependence of the consistency of qubits for various parameters of the model and the initial states of qubits was carried out. The most interesting result seems to be that taking into account the initial coherence of qubits in the model with Kerr nonlinearity leads to a significant increase in the maximum degree of entanglement of qubits induced by the thermal field, even in the case of high intensities of the resonator field. f Kerr nonlinearity, is considered. Atom–Atom Entanglement in a Nonresonant Two-Photon Tavis–Cummings Model

Maria O. Guslyannikova, Eugene K. Bashkirov

Abstract Entanglement between two identical two-level atoms (qubits) that interact nonresonantly with the thermal field of a single-mode ideal resonator via effective degenerate two-photon transitions is studied. Based on an exact solution for the time-dependent density matrix, negativity is calculated as a measure of atom entanglement. The effect detuning between the atomic frequencies and the doubled frequency of the resonator field has on the dynamics of qubit entanglement in cases of separable and entangled initial atomic states is investigated.

Dynamics of entanglement of qubits in not-resonant two-qubit Jaynes — Cummings model in the presence of dipole-dipole and Ising interactions

Башкиров Е. К

In this paper, we study the dynamics of a system consisting of two identical qubits interacting non-resonantly with a single-mode field of an ideal resonator in the presence of direct dipole-dipole and Ising interactions between the qubits. In the representation of "dressed" states, we find an exact solution of the quantum time Liouville equation for the full density matrix of the system under consideration for the initial separable and entangled states of the qubits and the thermal initial state of the resonator field. Based on the exact solution, the criterion for qubit entanglement, negativity, is calculated. The results of numerical modeling of negativity show that the inclusion of dipole-dipole and Ising coupling in the case of separable initial states of qubits can lead to a significant increase in the maximum degree of their entanglement, and in the case of entangled initial states of qubits, to stabilization of the initial entanglement. For the model with resonant interaction of qubits and the resonator field, direct interaction of qubits can also lead to the disappearance of the sudden death of entanglement effect.
