Abstract

In this work we considered temporal behavior of squeezing and amplitude-squared squeezing of a two two-level atoms in a finite-Q cavity with atom dissipation. The analytic expressions for mean photon number and squeezing parameters are obtained on the basis of master equation solution for coherent input. Squeezing generation conditions are considered for various dissipation parameters values and coherent initial input.

Amplitude squeezing of coherent light in a high-Q cavity by regular injection of atoms of two-photon transition

Chang-qi Cao

The amplitude squeezing of coherent light in a high-Q cavity by interaction with atoms entering regularly one by one is studied. The interaction is assumed to be of two-photon transition type, and the mean photon number N of the initial coherent light is assumed to be large. The interaction interval tau for an individual atom is taken as the favourable value pi /g, where g denotes the effective coupling constant. This value makes an incoming atom in the upper level change to the lower level at the exit. The Golubev-Sokolov equation for the density matrix of photons and generating function approach are utilized without any approximation. From this equation, the variance squared of photon number av as a function of t is derived. Over a certain range of parameters, av/ av may have a minimum value much lower than its steady-state value 1/2 at some moment. The correlation functions and power spectrums of the photon number noise and of the output photon current noise are also investigated.

Eugene K. Bashkirov

On the basis of the master equation for the density matrix the dynamics of the three-level atom interacting with two mode of quantum electromagnetic field in the damped cavity has been considered. The behavior of the mean populations of the atomic levels and photon numbers in modes has been investigated.

Analytical solution for entanglement and dissipative dynamics of two identical two-level atoms in cavity

Alexander V. Gorokhov, Ilya E. Sinaiski

It is considered dynamics of two identical two-level atoms in non-ideal cavity. Using approach developed before by us for case of one two-level atom, analytical expression for density matrix of the system is presented. Dynamics of level populations, mean number of photons and correlation function for photons are considered. Using Peres-Horodecki criteria exact expression for entanglement dynamics of two identical two-level atoms in cavity is given. Influence of detuning and damping constants are considered.
