Ladder operators for isospectral oscillators

Abstract

We present, for the isospectral family of oscillator Hamiltonians, a systematic procedure for constructing raising and lowering operators satisfying any prescribed `distorted' Heisenberg algebra (including the $q$-generalization). This is done by means of an operator transformation implemented by a shift operator. The latter is obtained by solving an appropriate partial isometry condition in the Hilbert space. Formal representations of the non-local operators concerned are given in terms of pseudo-differential operators. Using the new annihilation operators, new classes of coherent states are constructed for isospectral oscillator Hamiltonians. The corresponding Fock-Bargmann representations are also considered, with specific reference to the order of the entire function family in each case.

Distorted Heisenberg algebra and coherent states for isospectral oscillator Hamiltonians

C D J Fernandez, L M Nieto, O Rosas-Ortiz

The dynamical algebra associated with a family of isospectral oscillator Hamiltonians is studied through the analysis of its representation in the basis of energy eigenstates. It is shown that this representation becomes similar to that of the standard Heisenberg algebra, and it is dependent on a parameter omega >or=0. We call it the distorted Heisenberg algebra, where omega is the distortion parameter. The corresponding coherent states for an arbitrary omega are derived, and some particular examples are discussed in detail. A prescription to produce the squeezing, by adequately selecting the initial state of the system, is given.

Linearized coherent states for Hamiltonian systems with two equidistant ladder spectra

David Bermúdez, Alonso Contreras-Astorga, David J. Fernández C.

A simple way to construct exactly solvable Hamiltonians whose spectra contain two equidistant ladders, one finite and another infinite, appears when applying supersymmetric quantum mechanics to the harmonic oscillator. Some of those supersymmetric partners have third order differential ladder operators, although the order of the transformation is higher than one. In this work the linearized coherent states for these specific Hamiltonians are studied. To each SUSY partner Hamiltonian corresponds two families of linearized coherent states: one inside the subspace associated with the isospectral part of the spectrum and another one in the finite subspace generated by the states inserted through the SUSY technique.

Barut—Girardello and Gilmore—Perelomov coherent states for pseudoharmonic oscillators and their nonclassical properties: Factorization method

Mohammad Kazem Tavassoly, H R Jalali

In this paper we try to introduce the ladder operators associated with the pseudoharmonic oscillator, after solving the corresponding Schrödinger equation by using the factorization method. The obtained generalized raising and lowering operators naturally lead us to the Dirac representation space of the system which is much easier to work with, in comparison to the functional Hilbert space. The SU (1, 1) dynamical symmetry group associated with the considered system is exactly established through investigating the fact that the deduced operators satisfy appropriate commutation relations. This result enables us to construct two important and distinct classes of Barut—Girardello and Gilmore—Perelomov coherent states associated with the system. Finally, their identities as the most important task are exactly resolved and some of their nonclassical properties are illustrated, numerically.
