Stationary state entanglement and total correlation of two qubits or qutrits

Abstract

We investigate the mutual information and entanglement of stationary state of two locally driven qubits under the influence of collective dephasing. It is shown that both the mutual information and the entanglement of two qubits in the stationary state exhibit damped oscillation with the scaled action time $\\gamma{T}$ of the local external driving field. It means that we can control both the entanglement and total correlation of the stationary state of two qubits by adjusting the action time of the driving field. We also consider the influence of collective dephasing on entanglement of two qutrits and obtain the sufficient condition that the stationary state is entangled.

We investigate the mutual information and entanglement of stationary states of two locally driven qubits under the influence of collective dephasing. It is shown that both the mutual information and the entanglement of two qubits in the stationary state exhibit damped oscillation with the scaled action time γT of the local external driving field. Quantum control of entanglement and information of two solid state qubits: remote control of dephasing

Shangbin Li, Jing‐Bo Xu

We investigate the scheme for controlling information characterized by Von-Neumann entropy and the stationary state entanglement characterized by concurrence of two solid state qubits in the collective dephasing channel. It is shown that the local maximal value of the stationary state concurrence always corresponds to the local minimal value of information. We also propose a scheme for remotely controlling the entanglement of two solid state qubits against the collective dephasing. This idea may open a door to remotely suppress the detrimental effects of decoherence.

Quantum correlations of qubit-qutrit systems under general collective dephasing

Mazhar Ali

Most studies of collective dephasing for bipartite as well as multipartite quantum systems focus on a very specific orientation of magnetic field, that is, z-orientation. However, in practical situations, there are always small fluctuations in stochastic field and it is necessary that more general orientations of fields should be considered. We extend this problem to qubit-qutrit systems and study correlation dynamics for entanglement and local quantum uncertainty for some specific quantum states. We find that certain quantum states exhibit freezing dynamics both for entanglement and local quantum uncertainty. We analyze the asymptotic states and find the conditions for having non-zero entanglement and local quantum uncertainty. Our results are relevant for ion-trap experiments and can be verified with current experimental setups.

Decay of two-qubit correlation in correlated stochastic dephasing

Masashi Ban

Time evolutions of quantum correlation, classical correlation and total correlation of two qubits are investigated when the two qubits are placed under the influence of classical phase fluctuations with correlation. Stochastic variables that describe the phase fluctuations are correlated and subject to the stationary Gauss–Markov process. The model includes the local and global dephasing models. It is shown that the quantum correlation measured by the quantum discord is increased by the correlation between the stochastic variables in the initial time region while the classical correlation and the total correlation are not. Furthermore the entanglement, the optimal fidelity of the quantum teleportation and the violation of the Bell inequality are investigated.

Stationary discord and non-local correlations via qubit damping

A.‐S. F. Obada, H. A. Hessian, A.‐B. A. Mohamed +1 more

By using quantum discord (QD), measurement induced non-locality (MIN) and negativity (QE), quantum correlation and entanglement are investigated for two qubits in two different cases for the initial two qubit Werner states, taking into account the influence of qubit damping. It is shown that there is no asymptotic decay for MIN while asymptotic decay exists for QD and QE. Quantum correlations cannot be strengthened by introducing the damping. The appearance time of stationary correlations gets shorter with the increase in the damping parameter. Finally, a uniform damping qubit can affect the stationary correlations when the qubits are initially in an entangled state.

Stationary Entanglement of Two Charge Qubits Induced by a Damped and Driven Cavity

Li Jun-Gang, Zou Jian, Cai Jin-Fang +1 more

Two charge qubits located inside a damped driven cavity is considered. The dynamical evolution of the entanglement between the two qubits is demonstrated analytically or numerically. It is found that with the cavity dissipation, the steady entanglement between the two qubits is sensitive to the initial state of the qubits, but independent of the cavity field's initial state. The two qubits initially in the separable and most mixed state can be more easily entangled. The external field can be used to enhance the steady entanglement between the two charge qubits.
