On integrable Hamiltonians for higher spin XXZ chain

Abstract

Integrable Hamiltonians for higher spin periodic XXZ chains are constructed in terms of the spin generators; explicit examples for spins up to 3/2 are given. Relations between Hamiltonians for some U_q(sl_2)-symmetric and U(1)-symmetric universal r-matrices are studied; their properties are investigated. A connection with open chain Hamiltonians is discussed.

On integrable Hamiltonians for higher spin XXZ chain

Andrei G. Bytsko

Integrable Hamiltonians for higher spin periodic XXZ chains are constructed in terms of the spin generators; explicit examples for spins up to 32 are given. Relations between Hamiltonians for some Uq(sl2)-symmetric and U(1)-symmetric universal r-matrices are studied; their properties are investigated. A certain modification of the higher spin periodic chain Hamiltonian is shown to be an integrable Uq(sl2)-symmetric Hamiltonian for an open chain.

INTEGRABILITY OF OPEN SPIN CHAINS WITH QUANTUM ALGEBRA SYMMETRY

Luca Mezincescu, Rafael I. Nepomechie

We construct an open quantum spin chain from the “twisted” [Formula: see text]R matrix in the fundamental representation which has the quantum algebra symmetry Uq[ su (2)]. This anisotropic spin-1 chain is different from the Uq[ su (2)]-invariant chain constructed from the “untwisted” [Formula: see text] spin-1 R matrix (namely, the spin-1 XXZ chain of Fateev-Zamolodchikov with boundary terms) but, nevertheless, is also completely integrable. We discuss the general case of an R matrix of the type g(k), where k∈{1, 2, 3}, and g is any simple Lie algebra.

Quantum Group U q (sl(2)) Symmetry and Explicit Evaluation of the One-Point Functions of the Integrable Spin-1 XXZ Chain

Tetsuo Deguchi

We show some symmetry relations among the correlation functions of the integrable higher-spin XXX and XXZ spin chains, where we explicitly evaluate the multiple integrals representing the one-point functions in the spin-1 case.We review the multipleintegral representations of correlation functions for the integrable higher-spin XXZ chains derived in a region of the massless regime including the anti-ferromagnetic point. Here we make use of the gauge transformations between the symmetric and asymmetric R-matrices, which correspond to the principal and homogeneous gradings, respectively, and we send the inhomogeneous parameters to the set of complete 2s-strings.We also give a numerical support for the analytical expression of the one-point functions in the spin-1 case.

ALGEBRAIC ASPECTS OF THE CORRELATION FUNCTIONS OF THE INTEGRABLE HIGHER-SPIN XXZ SPIN CHAINS WITH ARBITRARY ENTRIES

TETSUO DEGUCHI, Chihiro Matsui

We discuss some fundamental properties of the XXZ spin chain, which are important in the algebraic Bethe-ansatz derivation for the multiple-integral representations of the spin-s XXZ correlation function with an arbitrary product of elementary matrices. For instance, we construct Hermitian conjugate vectors in the massless regime and introduce the spin-s Hermitian elementary matrices.

Rational $Q$-systems for integrable spin chains without $U(1)$ symmetry

Yunfeng Jiang, Yichao Liu, Yuan Miao +1 more

The Q Q -system is an efficient method for finding complete physical solutions of Bethe Ansatz equations, but so far its application has been confined to systems possessing U(1) U ( 1 ) symmetry. We extend the rational Q Q -system framework to integrable spin chains without U(1) U ( 1 ) symmetry, exemplified by the closed XXZ model with anti-diagonal twists and the open XXZ model with non-diagonal boundary fields. We demonstrate that the Q Q -system can be derived by combining TQ T Q -relation with fusion relations of higher-spin transfer matrices. This yields QQ Q Q -relations analogous to the U(1) U ( 1 ) symmetric case but incorporating additional inhomogeneous terms. We present numerical solutions that are validated against exact diagonalization, confirming that it generates all and exclusively physical solutions.

Construction of Integrable Spin Systems with Long-Range Interactions

Kazuhiro Hikami, P. P. Kulish, Miki Wadati

Presented is a general method to construct quantum spin Hamiltonians with long-range pairwise interactions. The Hamiltonian is given explicitly in terms of the R -matrices on an inhomogeneous lattice. Applications to spin-1/2 chains, higher spin chains and Z n models are shown.
