Abstract

The main purpose of this paper is to examine some (potential) applications of quantum computation in AI and to review the interplay between quantum theory and AI. For the readers who are not familiar with quantum computation, a brief introduction to it is provided, and a famous but simple quantum algorithm is introduced so that they can appreciate the power of quantum computation. Also, a (quite personal) survey of quantum computation is presented in order to give the readers a (unbalanced) panorama of the field. The author hopes that this paper will be a useful map for AI researchers who are going to explore further and deeper connections between AI and quantum computation as well as quantum theory although some parts of the map are very rough and other parts are empty, and waiting for the readers to fill in.

Comprehensive Review on Quantum Computation

B Jayaprakash

Quantum theory is without doubt one of the 20th century's best technological accomplishments. It provides a coherent structure on which many existing physical theories may be developed. Other major scientific triumphs of the 20th century and a modern field of quantum computing are brought in after more than 50 years of the beginning date. The quantum theory is coupled with computer science. The key aim of this paper is to research some (potential) Artificial Intelligence (AI), quantum computation applications and to investigate the interplay between quantum theory and AI. A brief perspective and a popular but easy quantum algorithm are given for the writers, who are not acquainted with quantum calculations so that they can appreciate the force of quantum computation. The aim of this paper is two-fold: to give AI researchers a brief introduction and a glimpse of the panorama of quantum computation; and to examine connections between quantum computation, quantum theory and AI.

An Application Framework for Quantum Computing using Artificial intelligence Techniques

Ayush Bhatia, Vimal Bibhu, Bhanu Prakash Lohani +1 more

Artificial Intelligence working along with quantum computers provides a whole new domain of smart systems to explore the world of computing. This paper aims at providing a close examination of the very principle applications of quantum computation along with Artificial Intelligence and to view the workings of an AI neural network along with the quantum theory. For a better understanding, a basic introduction to quantum computers along with a significant but straightforward quantum algorithm is addressed. Also, an unbalanced panorama of the field is given using a survey on quantum computation. The paper cites work and knowledge by previous researchers. Using the knowledge as base algorithms and predictions are added and checked for accessing a deeper connection between AI and quantum. Although, most of the pre-given maps are still very rough. Some parts are still unknown and empty. The ultimate aim is to provide a better and powerful method of tapping into the quantum technology. This research work provides an introduction and a glimpse of quantum computation along with examining the relation between quantum theory, AI and quantum computation for the researchers.

Quantum Computation: A Brief Overview

Henan Huang

Quantum computation has teased scientific imagination ever since Richard Feynman dreamed in 1982 of quantum-mechanical computers, which could solve problems that are effectively out of reach of classical computation thanks to their ability to use superposition and entanglement. This critical survey recalls the field’s journey from theoretical advances to present-day engineering challenges, highlighting the yawning gulf between quantum computing’s lofty promises and its actual realizations. By examining three decades of developments, from Shor’s integer factorization and Grover’s search algorithms to recent demonstrations of quantum supremacy, this paper shows how idealized mathematical models interact with the noisy, resource-constrained realities of physical quantum systems. The author presents a literature review through critically analyzing key achievements in quantum computing research.. This paper concludes that quantum advantage will not arise from brute-force universality, but through application specific co-design, combining noise-adjusted algorithms to quantum hardware restrictions whilst mixing classical and quantum processing modes and fundamentally changing the way we think of error correction through the physics of qubits. This shift in paradigm from theoretical maximalism to engineering pragmatism embodies a realistic roadmap for practical quantum computation.

Quantum Computing- A Revolutionizing the Computational Paradigm

Vandana Dabass, Suman

Quantum computing harnesses the mystifying principles of quantum mechanics to address challenges beyond the grasp of traditional computers. This illuminating paper digs far below the theoretical foundations underpinning quantum computing, applicable uses presently explored, and enormous barriers slowing advancement to accomplishing quantum supremacy. Core topics covered profoundly comprise delicate interactions connecting quantum bits, quantum logic gates manipulating superposed states, and algorithms exponentially outpacing usual techniques in cryptography and optimization. The document also surveys recent breakthroughs and maps out the lengthy road still ahead to rendering quantum computing feasible in the genuine world.
