Abstract

The phenomenon of quantum entanglement has a very important role in quantum mechanics. Particularly, the quantum spin chain provides a platform for theoretical and experimental investigation of many-body entanglement. In this paper, we investigate time evolution of entanglement in a four-qubit anisotropic Heisenberg XXZ chain with nearest neighboring (NN), the next nearest neighboring (NNN), and the Dzialoshinskii-Moriya (DM) interactions. Calculations of the entanglement evolution of the Werner state carried out in terms of concurrence for selected ranges of control parameters such as DM interaction, frustration, etc. The results show that for the Werner state, DM interaction and the frustration parameters play important roles. Furthermore, results show that the time evolution of the Werner state entanglement may be useful to capture the quantum phase transitions in quantum magnetic systems.

ENTANGLEMENT IN TWO QUBIT MAGNETIC MODELS WITH DM ANTISYMMETRIC ANISOTROPIC EXCHANGE INTERACTION

Zeynep Nilhan Gürkan, Oktay K. Pashaev

In the present paper, an influence of the anisotropic antisymmetric exchange interaction, the Dzialoshinskii–Moriya (DM) interaction, on entanglement of two qubits in various magnetic spin models, including the pure DM model and the most general XYZ model, are studied. We find that the time evolution generated by DM interaction can implement the SWAP gate and discuss realistic quasi-one-dimensional magnets where it can be realized. It is shown that inclusion of the DM interaction to any Heisenberg model creates, when it does not exist, or strengthens, when it exists, the entanglement. We give physical explanation of these results by studying the ground state of the systems at T = 0. Nonanalytic dependence of the concurrence on the DM interaction and its relation with quantum phase transition is indicated. Our results show that spin models with the DM coupling have some potential applications in quantum computations and the DM interaction could be an efficient control parameter of entanglement.

Thermal entanglement in a five-qubit XXZ Heisenberg spin chain with the next nearest neighboring interaction

Liu Gui-Yan, Mao Zhu, Bin Zhou

In the study of thermal entanglement of the Heisenberg spin chain model, one usually considers only the spin interaction between the nearest neighboring qubits. Actually, a generalized Heisenberg model, so-called J1-J2 Heisenberg model, which is constructed by considering the fact that not only the nearest neighboring but also the next nearest neighboring spin interaction also plays an important role. In J1-J2 Heisenberg model, due to the next nearest neighboring spin interaction, the frustration effect can occur and has an important influence on the magnetic properties of the model. In this paper we investigate the thermal entanglement of a five-qubit XXZ Heisenberg spin chain with the next nearest neighboring interaction in a magnetic field. Using the numerical method, we calculate the pairwise concurrences of the nearest neighbouring qubits and the next nearest neighboring qubits, abbreviated as C12 and C13 respectively. The numerical results show that the frustration parameter α has an important effect on the pairwise thermal entanglement. Moreover, C12 and C13 have different variations with the change of the frustration parameter α. Meanwhile, it is found that the temperature, magnetic field, Dzyaloshinkii-Moriya (DM) interaction and anisotropic parameter also have great effects on the thermal entanglement. The increasing of temperature can reduce the thermal entanglement. The magnetic field can enhance the thermal entanglement between both two nearest and next nearest neighboring qubits, but when the magnetic field becomes strong enough, only the thermal entanglement between the two nearest neighboring qubits is suppressed. A certain extent of DM interaction can enhance the thermal entanglement between the two nearest neighboring qubits. But for the next nearest neighboring qubits, without the magnetic field, the increasing of DM interaction mainly enlarge the entanglement vanishing area of frustration parameter α. When the system changes from anisotropic to isotropic state, the entanglement vanishing area also changes obviously for C12 and C13. Thus, we can choose appropriate magnetic field strength, temperature, frustration parameter, DM interaction parameter and anisotropic parameter to effectively control and enhance the thermal entanglement of the system.

Thermal entanglement in the four-qubit Heisenberg XXZ model with the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction

Zhang Ying-Li, Bin Zhou

In this paper, we study the property of thermal entanglement in four-qubit Heisenberg model, where Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya (DM) interaction is considered, and investigate the pairwise concurrences of two nearest-neighbor qubits and two next-neighbor qubits to study this entanglement property. The result shows that for the two-next-neighbor-qubit case, there exists pairwise concurrence neigher in ferromagnetic model nor in antiferromagnetic model; but for the two-nearest-neighbor-qubits case, the DM interaction and the parameter of the anisotropy exchange coupling have a significant influence on the pairwise entanglement and critical temperature Tc. Moreover, the pairwise concurrence will decrease with the increase of temperature. When the temperature execeds its critical value, the pairwise concurrence disappears. Therefore, the pairwise entanglement can be controlled and enhanced by choosing the appropriate parameters of the DM interaction and the anisotropy exchange coupling.

Quantum entanglement and quantum phase transition under dissipation in the anisoropic Heisenberg xxz model with the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction

R. Afzali, Mohsen Saleh Kotahi, J Sobhani

Because the key issue in quantum information and quantum computing is entanglement, the investigation of the effects of environment, as a source of quantum dissipation, and interaction between environment and system on entanglement and quantum phase transition is important. In this paper, we consider two-qubit system in the anisotropic Heisenberg XXZ model with the Dzyaloshinskii-moriya interaction, and accompanied quantum dissipation. Using Lindblad dynamics, the coupling effect and also temperature effect on concurrence, as a measure of entanglement of system, is obtained. The role of DM interaction parameters in the evolution of entanglement is investigated. Furthermore, using derivative of concurrence, the effects of dissipation and DM interaction parameter on quantum phase transition are obtained. It should be noted that spin-orbit interaction or DM parameter intensively influence the process of impressments of dissipation on entanglement measure and quantum phase transition. The current research is very important in the topics of nanometric systems.

Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interactions effects on the entanglement dynamics of a two qubit xxz spin system in non-Markovian environment

Georges Collince Fouokeng, Martin Tchoffo, Edwine Tendong +1 more

We investigate the exact entanglement dynamics of a two-qubit Heisenberg XXZ chain with Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya (DM) interactions, interacting with an anisotropic spin bath in thermal equi- librium at a temperature T, driven by an external magnetic field B along the z-axis. We establish that, for an initially entangled qubit pair, the DM interactions generate entanglement and enhance the entanglement in the revival region. The effects of the DM interaction are also seen to be very important at high temperatures and for weak coupling between the two qubits where it is seen to preserve entanglement. These effects are weakened when the magnetic field B and the Heisenberg coupling are switched on. If the two-qubits are prepared in an initially separable state, the DM in- teraction instead has a negative effect on their entanglement. On a whole entanglement can better be preserve in the spin chain even at high temperatures by increases the external magnetic field B and the Heisenberg couplings, and by tuning the strength of the DM interaction.

Pairwise entanglement in three-qubit Heisenberg model with Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction

Yanhui Wang, Yun‐Jie Xia, 山东省激光偏光与信息技术重点实验室,曲阜师范大学物理系,曲阜 273165

In this paper, we study the improvement and manipulation of pairwise thermal entanglement in one-dimentional three-qubit Heisenberg model, where Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya (DM) interaction is considered and concurrence is calculated to research this entanglements property. The results show that for XXX model, DM interaction can induce entanglement in the antiferromagnetic and ferromagnetic spin chains although the required critical values are different for these cases. For XXZ model, by introducing DM interaction D, antiferromagnetic spin chain has entanglement which is absent when D=0, and in addition, for antiferromagnetic and ferromagnetic cases, DM interaction D and the anisotropy parameter Δ have different effects on entanglement. As a result, the entanglement can be controlled and enhanced by choosing appropriate DM interaction and anisotropy parameter. Furthermore, we find that at the same temperature, no matter for antiferromagnetic or ferromagnetic spin chains, the critical DM interaction inducing entanglement should be greater in a three-qubit XXZ model than that in a two-qubit XXZ model.
