Time-frequency multiplexed single-photon source based on LiNbO3 modulators

Marcello Massaro, Vahid Ansari, Fabian Schlue +7 more

We present advances in the use of gigahertz LiNbO3 modulators enabling us programmable delays, which we will use to implement a multiplexed single-photon source, based on birefringent phase-matching in KTP waveguides.

Characteristics of Phase Modulator in Quantum Cryptographic Key Distribution System

LI Gangyi

LiNbO_3 waveguide phase modulators are components of single-photon interferometer in quantum cryptographic key distribution(QKD)system. The effects of the properties of phase modulation and polarization on QKD system are discussed. The parameters of both the linearly single-polarization LiNbO_3 modulator fabricated with annealing proton exchange(APE)technology and the LiNbO_3 modulator with low polarization dependent loss(PDL)property fabricated with Ti internal diffusion technology are presented.

Reciprocating optical modulation on Erbium doped LiNbO3 for harmonic generation

So Kogahara, Hirochika Nakajima, Satoshi Shinada +3 more

We demonstrated reciprocating optical modulation with Er-doped LiNbO3 for highorder sideband generation, where reciprocating modulation process can be selectively amplified. The sideband component of 50 GHz was successfully enhanced. The gain was 8 dB.
