The implementation of logical operations on signals using stimulated echo-holography in the case when it is excited using an object laser pulse carrying information and a pulse acting as a frequency filter is considered. It is shown that the stimulated echo-hologram can be used to implement the conjunction operation.
Abstract The possibility of implementing logical operations with images using the accumulated echo hologram in the presence of external spatially inhomogeneous electric fields is considered. It is shown that the photon echo locking effect makes it possible to control the execution of logical operations (from the union of sets to the symmetric difference and their superposition), as well to control their form by varying the values of the gradients of external spatially inhomogeneous electric fields and the phase difference between pairs of pulses.
A set-theoretical method for studying information processes in resonant media with phase memory is developed. The conversion of the classical information carried by the object laser pulse into the potential (structural) quantum information of the resonant medium that takes place during the recording of a phase echo hologram is studied. It is shown that a resonant medium with phase memory stores quantum information in the form of an information-phase grating (the distribution of qubits within the inhomogeneously broadened line of a resonant transition). The temporal evolution of this grating is studied as a function of the times of reversible and irreversible relaxation of the system.
