Threshold appearance of a cooperative shift of the anti-Stokes radiation frequency under Raman scattering conditions

It is shown theoretically and experimentally that Raman scattering at a high rate of excitation is characterized by a new feature. This is the threshold appearance of a cooperative frequency shift of the anti-Stokes components resulting from the cooperative nature of the Raman scattering.

RAMAN MIXING IN AN OPTICAL FIBER

Tianlong Yang, Su Hai-zheng, GAO PEI-JUAN +1 more

The tuning Raman mixing effects in an optical fiber have been investigated in the frequency shift range from 656cm-1 to 1343cm-1. Many phenomena have been obser-ved experimentally, e.g., the intensity of coherent anti-Stokes Eaman scattering (CAES) is inversely proportional to that of the inverse Raman absorption (VRA), the energy distribution of SRS is influenced strongly by Raman mixing (RM). In addition to the-coherent Stokes Raman scattering (CSRS) and CARS radiations, the second order coherent Stokes Raman scattering (SOCSRS) and the second order anti-Stokes Raman scattering (SOCARS) radiations have also been observed. Finally, the experimental results are discussed.

Physical Properties of Photonic Cooper Pairs Generated via Correlated Stokes–anti‐Stokes Raman Scattering

Filomeno Soares de Aguiar Júnior, Carlos Henrique Monken, Marcelo França Santos +4 more

The theoretical and experimental background for the creation of photonic Cooper pairs (PCPs) via correlated Stokes–anti‐Stokes Raman scattering is introduced, followed by experimental results on the second‐order photon time correlation g2(0) in diamond. It is shown how g2(0) changes with energy (Stokes–anti‐Stokes Raman shift), momentum (scattering angle) and excitation laser power. Both real and virtual phonon‐mediated scattering processes are addressed.
