Abstract

In today’s fastest-growing life, all need to be more secure in terms of advancement in technology. Everything is going to be a part of digitization. In this, almost everyone is using online storage for storing their personal and important and official secret information. To sustain integrity there should be trustworthy services must be carried out in the back end. Online security has been provided for the cloud with a very powerful privacy system. But still, there is a possibility of different interrupts in terms of stacks like DoS, Denial of Service attack can happen any time to break the normal flow of service. Henceforth, this paper will provide a strong security system for data storage with double encryption format and a more complex structure, for we will express the algorithm through the quantum cryptographic environment to use under the homomorphism technique of modern cryptography.

A Secure Method of Communication in Conventional Cryptography using Quantum Key Distribution

Chunduru Anilkumar, Bhavani Gorle, Kinthali Sowmya

Security knowledge is one of the foremost challenges in the present day. When the topic is about Information security, the concept of cryptography comes into the picture. Every day, people and organizations use cryptography to maintain the confidentiality of their communications and data as well as to preserve their privacy. Today, one of the most successful methods used by businesses to protect their storage systems, whether at rest or in transit, is cryptography. Yet, cryptography is an effective technique to secure the data, the modern technology can break the cryptographic techniques. But some data encryption algorithms are several times stronger than today's conventional cryptography and can be constructed using quantum computing. They are "Quantum Cryptographic Algorithms ". Quantum cryptography uses the rules of quantum physics instead of classical encryption, which is based on mathematics, to protect and transmit data in a way that cannot be intercepted. Quantum key distribution is the greatest illustration of quantum cryptography and offers a safe solution to the key exchange issue. The proposed work deals with quantum cryptography and mainly focuses on how the quantum cryptographic algorithm is more secure than traditional cryptography.

Post Quantum Cryptography in Healthcare: Future-Proofing Electronic Health Records Against Quantum Computing Threats and Cyber Attacks

The rapid advancement of quantum computing poses a significant threat to current cryptographic standards, particularly those securing electronic health records (EHRs) in healthcare systems.Traditional encryption methods such as RSA, ECC, and AES, while robust against classical attacks, are vulnerable to quantum algorithms like Shor's and Grover's, which can efficiently break cryptographic keys and compromise patient data integrity. As healthcare systems become increasingly interconnected through the Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud-based infrastructures, the need for quantum-resistant security mechanisms becomes paramount.Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) emerges as a viable solution to future-proof EHR security by employing lattice-based, hash-based, code-based, and multivariate polynomial cryptographic techniques that remain resistant to quantum attacks. This paper explores the implications of quantum computing on healthcare cybersecurity, emphasizing the vulnerabilities of existing encryption protocols and the necessity of transitioning toward PQC frameworks.Furthermore, we examine the integration of PQC within healthcare infrastructures, focusing on key exchange mechanisms, digital signatures, and end-to-end encryption for secure EHR transactions.Additionally, the study highlights regulatory and compliance considerations, including the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) PQC standardization efforts and the role of Zero Trust security models in mitigating quantum-era cyber risks.Case studies illustrate successful implementations of PQC in healthcare networks, demonstrating its feasibility and effectiveness in safeguarding sensitive medical information.By adopting quantum-resistant cryptographic standards, healthcare institutions can proactively defend against emerging cyber threats, ensuring data confidentiality, integrity, and long-term resilience in the face of quantum computing advancements.

In Our daily life we are getting very much dependent on Internet or Virtual Reality. They are nothing but an illusion of a Cyberspace. It has effect on our every aspect of life, like Education, Sports, and Health etc. We are using the term Cryptography which is the science of using mathematics to encrypt and decrypt data. We had used various Encryption standards in back days namely, DES, AES, RSA, Elliptical AES etc. But nowadays we are using Quantum Cryptography for this. It is nothing but use of Physics (mainly Quantum Physics) for Encrypting the data. In this Research paper we will mainly focus on the new approaches that come in the path of Quantum Cryptography. We will also view some interaction of Quantum Cryptography in future Internet services. Quantum computing is yet to be explored but still the explored part has the capabilities to counter the “alien” hacking protocols if tested over any System. Older System were using protocols like RSA, AES, DES even some of them are more capable than our need, but the use of QC will not only secure the systems but there are major chances that eavesdropper got caught while eavesdropping. Also QC is a pathway to secure communication. This paper includes the review of older state of Quantum Cryptography which will give us information about QKD algorithms and its protocol and we will also overview on its risk and security features. We will also provide a glimpse of current various works going in various Educational Institutions.

Quantum Computing and Cloud Security: Future-Proofing Healthcare Data Protection

Anjan Kumar Gundaboina

Cloud computing has emerged as the prevailing development in healthcare systems across the global market. These systems are creating and processing vast amounts of patient data that require a certain level of security. However, due to the introduction of quantum computation, the future of cryptographic techniques on which Cloud security relies is in danger. The following paper seeks to explore the compatibility of quantum computing and cloud security and regard to the protection of health data. It also includes a comprehensive analysis of the current risks, a discussion of already existing quantum-vulnerable points, and a strategy for creating a quantum-safe strategy for safe patient data storage in healthcare. The study under consideration also employs quantum cryptography and cloud structures to identify threats and create appropriate defence mechanisms. Some models explored and analyzed include Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) and hybrid cryptosystems. A simulated hospital database has brought about the fragility of some of these algorithms, a research work dubbed as quantum resilience, in order to explain how it is possible to integrate these two concepts without removing the aspects of the cloud that make it appealing to many people, including scalability and accessibility. This indicates that there has been a major enhancement in standing against quantum attacks, specifically showing the way towards effective, sustainable and protected healthcare information systems.
